Afghanistan thus got the deserved win over West Indies.

Yes, They gave an awesome competition to every team they faced.Yeah, what a win for them.
And these were the best 6 out of 40 overs of the match!Funny, the only time I turned the game on was during the last 6 overs
Same Pinch, buddy.I want NZ to win today.

Well, the West Indies have shown in the Semis and Final that team effort is a lot more important than individual brilliant performances. Also, their strategy of relying on boundaries rather than quick running between the wickets has payed off (especially on such tracks).
Considering Stokes is my favorite all-rounder, I was very saddened by his last over. He should have prefered yorkers. Instead, he kept giving the ball in the favorite region of Brathwaite. Even a mis-hit was a six.§¢§Ñ§â§Ò§à§ã§Ñ;5460247 said:Incredible hitting from Braithwaite but poor from Stokes.
You have 18 to play with and instead of pulling back your length to a guy who is going to stand and deliver, you bowl straight into his wheel arch. Just asking for trouble, especially when he hit the first for six.
Bowl shorter so the worst that can happen is a four, which he would have to do five times with men out on the boundary. Instead, Stokes risks bowling half volleys and got smeared everywhere, where his fielders could not help him.

Their gung-ho batting got them into a lot of trouble in both the semis and final. Particularly today, they should have knocked them off with no trouble. Instead swinging from the hip virtually lost them the game with only a patient innings from Samuels, some short-sightedness from England and a miracle last over getting them over the line.
