Final Thoughts on the Tournament: TJ Perkins isn't my first choice to hold the title out of the last four, let alone the last 32. But since Zack Sabre Jr. and Kota Ibushi haven't signed, then yeah, it makes more sense than Gran Metalik. This tournament was a great stage for people like Jack Gallagher who is just tremendous as well as Cedric Alexander. I am specially excited for both of these guys in the main roster. TJ Perkins isn't really anything yet as giving you titles isn't really making you in wrestling and he needs to show a lot more character wise and promo wise.

But aside from the result, which was going to be controversial no matter what, I think that this tournament is just a glimpse of the great talent WWE has in their roster. Raw will benefit greatly by adding the division and I can't wait to see the division grow as long as they care for it. Great show. Best match of the entire tournament to me was Ibushi vs. Alexander, followed by Gargano vs. Ciampa and Ibushi vs. The Brian Kendrick.

In the context of Monday Night Raw, TJP was the best choice. ZSJ sells like a tit, is completely unmarketable, and his style would bore people to death. Metalik and Kota can't speak English, or at least not very well, so it's not smart to make them the face of the division. And that's not even taking into account the fact that ZSJ and Kota supposedly didn't sign with WWE.

TJP is the best all-rounder in the tournament. Fact. And WWE likes their all-rounders.
