I will say that tonight's match was really good and at some point down the line I feel that Ambrose should win the title. I hear a lot of people saying that he should just stay in the mid card but it has been a long time that I have seen someone in wrestling bail out the WWE during a time of injuries. He has been one of the most consistent performers and has done a great job of picking up the slack when others have been out over this past year and a half.
Now this is not a comparison in skill set, but it really reminds me of Eddie Guerrero before he won the the title. If your remember prior to that, Smackdown went through a stretch where they had a bunch of big name guys get hurt and Guerrero was carrying the show week after week. It was through that stretch he sort of transformed into a main event player.
I am not saying Ambrose should win the title soon, but I will say what he has done to help WWE during times of injuries should not go unnoticed.
