NxT TakeOver : Back To Brooklyn Live Discussion

Tomspiracy is doing a really good job, but he does lean into "the champion will retain" telegraphing it won't happen a little too often.

I'm liking this match more than Nakamura v Zayn.

You live on top of a night club? Nice.

Very nice at times. Not so nice when you decide to stay in on a Saturday and can't fall asleep until the music stops at 3am.

On a separate note, that was a fantastic match, although I'm actually a bit sad. Joe deserved a longer reign but I guess it couldn't be helped. When you have someone like Nakamura, you strap the rocket to his ass and don't look back.

I'm hoping this leads to Joe being on Raw tomorrow night. I don't want a major PPV hoss fest between Joe and Owens, I need it.

Don't be sad for too long. Remember, Summerslam is tomorrow night.

The last three matches would have been better if we couldn't hear the referee telling them how much time was left or in the main event's case, saying "go to the finish."

In the tag match when Ciampa was getting beaten down:

"13 minutes left."

Women's match:

"6 minutes."

Title match:

"Go to the finish."

I rewound the first two and was waiting on it in the third. The first two ended right around 13/6 minutes later each. It happens constantly but it was a lot worse tonight.

You don't like the crowd singing along? I think it's awesome. Especially during the match to help "power-up" Shinsuke.
It's only midly irritating when the song actually has words, that I can live with. But when it sounds like a Roman orgy with an entire arena moaning and groaning it's beyond fucking obnoxious.

I didn't hear them say anything

Excellent show, thoroughly enjoyable like almost every Takeover special.

However, my focus is on the now-confirmed NXT tour in Australia AND New Zealand! Great to see NZ get two stops, and some of stops are for cities that normally don't get shows, yet they do draw great crowds for most entertainment shows (like Newcastle, Perth, Canberra).

And thanks to someone breaking down the arena capacities, it looks like Sydney, where I basically live, might be getting the Takeover special. All the other arenas are <8000, whilst Sydney is >20 000. That's got to mean a Takeover, right guys? Guys?!

It would make sense.

December is around the time they would do the next TakeOver anyway right?

Scheduling works, arena capacities give a good indication (since Sydney has quite a few venues which are as small as the other ones), and they're going Down Under for 10 days. To top it off, I read somewhere that Triple H had been pushing for a trip Down Under, but Vince denied the idea, and Triple H pitched London instead, which has already come and pass. Seeing the overseas success, and the influx of Aussie talent, AND it matching up well time-wise for Japan, a market WWE are interested in solidifying their presence in, I'm convinced this will be the next major Takeover event.

Just have to wait for the official announcement now.
