WrestleMania 29 Match Card- Full Time Wrestlers Only!!

So in your opinion if only Full Time guys were on this years WrestleMania how would it look different from the actual card. The way I see it The Undertaker can stay because his streak is still in use but other than that no Rock, Lesnar, Jericho, HHH & HBK would be on the line-up.

I'd love to see your ideas.

Heres some ideas I had.... More to follow.

WWE Championship Match/ Streak vs Streak
CM Punk (c) vs The Undertaker
- Obviously I'm re-writing history a bit, CM Punk would still be Champion up to this point and actually end the streak.

World Heavyweight Championship Match
John Cena (c) vs Dolph Ziggler
- Cena defeats Ziggler at TLC and wins the briefcase. Ziggler wins the Royal Rumble match. Cena goes on to Cash In on The Big Show at The Royal RUmble. Ziggler picks up the win here and wins his first World Heavyweight Championship.

Cena vs Punk. This is the only match that feels like wrestlemania main event worthy. Give them 40 minutes and they will have one hell of a match.

Del Rio vs Mark Henry vs Big Show. WWE wants Del Rio to become the top face of smackdown so have him beat the two top monster heels.
Del Rio wins

Tag Team championship.
Team Hell No vs Ziggler and Big E this was a good choice by wwe. Ziggler is in the mid card where he belongs just wish they started this early and actually built up to the match better than they did.

IC championship.
Barrett Vs Christian vs Miz. Christian should have returned for Mania Ic title would have been a good place to put him. Miz needs some where to go on the card.

Randy Orton, Sheamus and Ryback vs the Shield in a street fight. The shield need to face some top baby faces and these 3 are top baby faces simple. i have it as a street fight so the Shield can win the match by taking the numbers advantage by taking one of the members out like they did to Kane in there TLC match.
Randy, Sheamus and Ryback wins when Ryback delivers a double shell shock to Rollins and Ambrose. Giving Ryback some of his lost momentum back.

Us title
Cesaro vs Swagger. Swagger comes back a baby face and fights for America simple.

Diva Title match.
Kaitlyn vs AJ. Who cares really but this makes more sense than something else and at least it is a wrestling match instead of a over the top battle royal.

Thats the card and as you may have noticed it isn't any where near as good as the real card so thank god for part timers.

It's a difficult card to make, and that's pretty sad.

I suppose Punk vs. Cena is the biggest match you could make. But it'd been done to death. I'd promote Cena vs. Ryback for the WWE Championship. When was the last time WWE put a new-ish superster over in the closing match on a Mania card?

After making that main event I'm kinda stuck. I could make another Randy Orton vs. C.M. Punk match but after their match two years ago that's a strictly "B" show match these days. I'd be inclined to go for Sheamus vs. Punk as my semi-main event.

Daniel Bryan vs. A member of The Shield?

Those are some of the biggest and freshest matches I can think of. None are really worth of WrestleMania in my eyes.

Maybe I should of been a little clearer. I feel even though The Undertaker is "part time" I feel his streak is one of the biggest events of WrestleMania and is relevant for the time being and deserves to be showcased as long as he is facing a full time employee.

While Taker is a part timer now, let's face it, having WM without him while he's still willing & able to do it just doesn't fly so I'd put him in it. Aside from Taker, if there were no other part timers on the roster, I'd probably book something along the lines of this:

Pre-Show Battle Royal - WWE's done this before in which wrestlers in the lower card participate in a battle royal before the actual WM card. It'll get them on the show and allow them to share the WM payday.

WWE Championship vs. The Streak - CM Punk (c) vs. John Cena vs. The Undertaker

World Heavyweight Championship - Dolph Ziggler (c) vs. Kane vs. Daniel Bryan

WWE Intercontinental Championship & WWE United States Championship Unification Match - The Miz (Intercontinental Champion) vs. Seth Rollins (United States Champion)

WWE Tag Team Championship Ladder Match - Ambrose & Reigns (c) vs. Orton & Sheamus

WWE Divas Championship - Kaitlyn (c) vs. AJ Lee

No Holds Barred - Alberto Del Rio vs. Jack Swagger

Elimination Match - Ryback vs. Mark Henry vs. Big Show vs. Big E. Langston

There are a lot of three & fourway matches here but I think it works out. CM Punk as WWE Champion taking on Cena and Taker would be a MASSIVE money match in which the future of the streak would be in serious doubt.

With no part timers, I'd have had Ziggler cash in his MITB briefcase and take the title from Big Show after one of his great brawls with Sheamus, whereby he managed to fend Show off in subsequent matches. Team Hell No had imploded at the Royal Rumble, dropping the tag titles to Ambrose & Roman Reigns and been at each other's throats ever since. As they have argued as to which is the weak link, they both decide to show the other up by going after the WHC.

I'd have had Miz ultimately regain the IC title from Kofi and forgo Barrett's run altogether. Rollins could be the singles guy for The Shield and captures the United States Championship on an episode of Raw maybe early in the year. The Shield have attacked Miz more than once, so the idea of Miz wanting to get even by taking gold away from The Shield makes sense.

For the tag title match, as I said earlier, I'd have had Team Hell No drop the straps to The Shield at the Rumble perhaps and banded Sheamus & Orton together as a team. The story would be like that they'd grown to trust one another in the long run and enjoyed teaming together. The Shield has targeted them over the months, so they're going after the tag titles in return. As for the ladder match, I was thinking that it'd just be fun to see the match at WM. Maybe each team has scored an impressive win over the others. Orton & Sheamus in a non-title clash & The Shield in a title match, so this is the ladder match is the rubber match.

The Divas Championship & Del Rio vs. Swagger matches are pretty self explanatory.

The fourway match featuring the big guys is basically just putting WWE's biggest powerhouses together in a match and letting them go at it. Whoever wins an elimination match has a stronger claim as being the baddest monster on the roster I think.

3 things first. One there would not be a Elimination Chamber PPV. It will be all build up from the Rumble to Mania. Two the only part timer Im going to use is Booker T. Three the theme song for the event would be "All of the Lights" by Kanye West

Order on how they will be on the card:
American the Beautiful would be played
A WrestleMania promo would play
A huge opening would be then happen and the show would kick off.

Tag Team Champions: Team Hell No vs. Team Rhodes Scholars- All the matches that they had would have not happened. There would have been other teams fighting Team Hell No. Team Rhodes Scholars would a tag tournament on the 3 raw after the Rumble and the match would be set.

Ryback vs. Mark Henry- After losing to Punk at the Rumble, Ryback goes on to enter the Smackdown Elimination Chamber match on the second Smackdown after the Rumble and Henry does the same. Ryback gets eliminates Mark Henry and the pisses Henry off and Henry goes back in and destroys Ryback can cost him the match. Booker T says the will fight at Mania 29. They would do a bunch of proof of strength stuff. Beating people up, Arm Wrestle, the weight thing they did on Smackdown and other stuff.

A Dance contest: Clay, Tensi, Ryder, Khali, and 2 cool (if they can get them)

25 Min Iron Match: Dolph Ziggler vs. Chris Jericho- Right after Orton wins the World title from Show, Dolph goes out and cashes his Money in the Bank. Orton gets beat up until Y2J comes out and cost Dolph the match. Dolph still enters the Rumble at #1 while Y2J comes in at #2. They last all the way till the end with Cena. Big E helps Dolph eliminate Y2J. While Big E is trying to help Dolph get rid of Cena Y2J comes back in and gets rid of Big E and Dolph looks at Y2J and then gets AA by Cena and then thrown out. After that Dolph and Y2J feud picks back up on Raw. They feud gets to the point where Ziggler says he can beat Y2J 9 times out of 10 and without Big E. Y2J says he can do the same and says they should have an Iron Man match.

IC Champ vs. US Champ: Wade Barrett vs. Antonio Cesaro – Both heels and they say they are the best. Every Raw or Smackdown they win matches trying to prove themselves. They would do single and even tag with each other.

Live Concert

Cage Match: Alberto Del Rio vs. Jack Swagger w/Zeb Colter- What is already happening but would more yelling, promos, and no title.

No Holds Barred: The Shield vs. Big Show, The Miz, and Booker T- The Shield would be costing The Miz and Big Show different matches a lot and on Miz Tv, The Miz and Big Show decided to reform ShowMiz to take out The Shield. Somewhere down the line The Shield disrespects Booker T and he says he wants to help take them down.

Hall of Fame Class of 2013 would come out

World Champion: Randy Orton vs. Sheamus- Orton would beat Big Show for the World Title at the Rumble first. Then because Cena choose to fight Punk right away, Booker T says he wants to have an Elimination Chamber match on Smackdown a week from that Friday. The people in the match would be Sheamus, Mark Henry, Ryback, Big Show, Y2J, and Dolph Ziggler. Sheamus wins the match and him and Orton would have a stare down. During the buildup it would mostly be face vs. face to see who is the best. Every week on Raw and Smackdown a Legend will give their opinion on who will win. They would give promos talking about why they feel they will win and they would be in a lot of matches that they both win.

A 10 min promo about the WWE title. Legends talking about it and about the matchup

WWE Champion: CM Punk vs. John Cena- This would be the main event. CM Punk would beat Ryback at the Rumble and Cena would win the Rumble(Coming in at number 3 and last eliminating Ziggler). Cena would choose CM Punk right after he wins the Rumble match and then Punk would come out and they would have a stare down and the show would end. Every Raw they would be pushing this match. A lot of written out promos and personal promos. Also there would be video of them talking about each other and training for their match.

(This is probably how it should've gone anyway. Rock/Cena II doesn't need the belt, and with the belt on the line in Punk vs. Taker it would've made the result unpredictable as there would've been some people who would've doubted Taker walking out with the belt because of his usual 'return for 1 month, wrestle at Mania, leave the next day' schedule)

John Cena vs. Ryback

(A Hulk Hogan vs. Ultimate Warrior kind of thing just without the WWE Title on the line. Cena could've still put him over though as his equal so that when Cena is done as the top face, Ryback could probably take over from him)

(Three superstars who have spent the last couple of years trading victories with each other in one-on-one matches on Smackdown. This Triple Threat would determine who is the best of Smackdown. And what an awesome match it would be)

With no Rock, Brock, HHH and Jericho it would be difficult to sell Mania but not impossible. I think they would have to rely on gimmick matches they do make people want to watch.

IC/US Ladder Match

Ceasro v Barrett v The Miz v Kofi v Fandango v Ryder

Without the part-times than Cesaro and Kofi would definitely be on the card. Yes Ryder! He is worthy of a match and since it is a mult-man match it is not that big of a deal. The Miz and Barret speak for themselves. Without Jericho than we need something for Fandango. A win in this type of match, becoming a champion, would do him wonders.

Team Hell No v Rhodes Scholars v PTP for the Tag Team Championships

Simple really. All 6 guys deserve a spot on the card. It would be a great match and Team Hell No could finally drop the belts.

Ryback v Henry

Actually like this match - only if it is short.

Street fight: Swagger v Del Rio

They haven't really used the world title that much in this feud. Just play on the American/Mexican divide. Make it a proper rivalry and don't waste the world title on it.

The Shield v Sheamus, Big Show, Booker T/B]

The Shield should have been disturbing the show and forcing the GM's into action. Maybe they attack Booker for not making the right matches. This forces him into taking actions into his own hands.

Ziggler (c) v Orton

Without the part timers you need your biggest stars in big matches. Orton cannot be in the mid-card so having him in a world title match will helpe to sell the even. Ziggler cashes in his MITB on Big Show. Orton wins the EC to be number one contender.

Cm Punk (c) v Taker

It would make us believe that Punk could win. Streak v Streak would be a very good idea.


Without the part-timers it is difficult to find a spot for Cena. Brock and Rock are both good options. A triple threat match for the WWE title wouldn't work with the streak and he is above a 6-man tag match. I suppose you could have Sheamus face Taker and Cena face Punk but I really like the idea of Streak v Streak.

I think the only two logical choices for a main event would be Punk/Cena or Cena/Ryback, as most have suggested. Punk/Cena is basically Hogan/Savage and Cena/Ryback would essentially be Hogan/Warrior, though hopefully Ryback would have more staying power. No matter what, Cena would likely be in the main event, but we knew that already.

As far the rest of the card, all that matters is the Shield looks strong, Dolph Ziggler ends up in a high profile match, and the Undertaker wins. Boom, WrestleMania.
