Wrestlemania XXX Aftermath & Discussion

imo I measure mania by moments and this one to me is the best mania ever. The streak ending, the bryan storyline, even the Andre battle royal was great imo, I just watch it and it's the best mania ever. I actually like the cluster fuck divas invitation. I thought Cena and Wyatt was well done. And the opening was amazing. To me it's the best mania ever.

I didn't like how the WrestleMania crowd cheered for some Hall of Famers (Razor Ramon, Jake Roberts, Lita) but didn't cheer for some others (Carlos Colon, Paul Bearer's sons)... They are all Hall of Famers, they all contributed for decades to pro-wrestling, the least you can do is stand up from your seats and cheer for them all. It will take less than 1 minute total. Its not as if your tongue or fingers will fall off if you cheer more than a selected few... That part was something I really felt bad about.

If I can rant a little here, I do feel bad for Bearers sons but I don't feel one bit bad for Colon. The man was at the very least let the man that killed Bruiser Brody continue to work for him and make a storyline about it. It was tasteless and if the audience knew about that I'm surprised the guy didn't get boo'd out of the arena.

Oh, I didn't know about that... Just read a little, and seems like Tony Atlas has a contribution in it too...

Anyway, I'll add a little more on Wrestlemania... I really loved the live performances by Rev Theory (for Randy Orton) and even more that masked guy (Mark Crozer?) (for Bray Wyatt). I think the performances were fantastic, especially if compared to Living Color singing Cult Of Personality, or those two guys performing before Cena and Rock's entrances for their match, which was really awful and random. The two of this year, on the other hand, really enhanced the feeling and made the long entrances much more cooler.

a week has past since Wrestle Mania 30 so I thought I'd give my opinion on the matches and overall

It started off in true celebratory fashion with the 3 biggest names in the history of the business in Hogan, SCSA & Rock in the ring. Any wrestling fan must have been excited about seeing these 3 men in the same ring delivering their trademark lines as they kicked off WM 30.

The action got underway with Daniel Bryan facing off against Triple H and I have to admit I was mixed with who I wanted to win as Triple H has been my favourite superstar since I started watching WWE in 2000 even though I knew Bryan was going to win and rightly should have. Although seeing Triple H, Orton & Batista battle it out for the title had it's appeal to me as it would be 3 of the 4 members of Evolution facing off. Back to the actual match now and I found it to be very exciting with both men showing just how good they are in the squared circle.

Next was the Shield V Kane & The Outlaws and what a pointless match for a WM it turned out to be! Yes I was glad to see the Shield win in strong fashion but for me it made 3 legends look very weak and just felt undeserving of a slot on the biggest WM ever. If this match would have been on Extreme Rules or any other show I probably wouldn't of cared but I remember thinking as the match ended that it was just waste of time in my opinion.

Next was the Andre the Giant battle Royal and I have to say I don't like these big battle royals when everyone starts in the ring together. The Rumble works works because it has the excitement factor of not knowing who is coming out next. That said I was pleased to see Cesaro win as I am a big fan of him and feel that in 2014 or 2015 he will become the WWE Champion.

I enjoyed the Cena V Bray Wyatt match as it was a solid mid-card bout. I agreed with the result as it allows a good rivalry to build and offers an interesting match for extreme rules to play out.

I never expected what was to come next as I thought the Undertaker would retire undefeated although I was very happy to see the streak end and hopefully see Undertaker retire too. I personally think he should have called time on his career after his match with Triple H in the hell in a cell as it was dubbed the end of an era match and in my opinion showed Undertaker's obvious increasing short comings as Triple H carried him and really should have won both matches but for the streak! Back to this match and it once again showed Undertaker's physical limitations as Lesnar was clearly holding back in part due to the concussion Undertaker suffered making it a very lame and laboured match. As Lesnar was dropping Undertaker for the 3rd f5 I thought he'll kick out but I hope he doesn't as it would be to over the top to realistically kick out of 3 finishers. Initial shock turned to relief as I saw the streak end as I hope Undertaker now retires and is remembered as he should be and before he suffers an injury he may not recover from. Alas this would mean no matches against Sting or Cena which I would love to see but his health is more important.

The Diva's title battle royal was another waste of time as it was clumsy and laboured throughout. Why did not just have AJ defend the title in a one on one match which would have shown two strong Diva's battling rather than the mess I did witness?

Finally we reach the main event which I did enjoy despite seeing Bryan walk out as Champion. I think Bryan deserves to be champion but I didn't like the manner in which he won. Wrestling is staged I know that but for me it has to keep an element of realism and belief too and seeing a guy bandaged up fighting 2 matches in one night and suffering the beatings he had taken by Triple H after the first match and everything that he endured in the main event is to far for me.

To finish up this recap this is what I would have liked to have seen happen at WM 30
Bryan beat Triple H in first match like it did.
Have the IC and US titles defended as they should be used more than they are currently (All that history and heritage of those titles feels wasted right now) perhaps they could done something similar to what they did at WM 16 with a triple threat match with both titles available over 2 falls Ambrose V Big E V ?
Have a MITB ladder match instead of Andre the Giant battle royal as there is only one title to go for now and would have been better use of mid-card talent. Ziggler V Sheamus V Del Rio v Bigshow V Cesaro V Swagger V Rollins V Reigns maybe with Cesaro still winning.
Cena V Wyatt would remain the same.
Lesnar V Undertaker would remain the same.
AJ Lee V ? for Diva's title (wouldn't matter as she would win and lose to Paige on Raw anyway.
Orton V Batista V Bryan have the Authority stop Bryan from winning and let Batista win by pinning Orton. Batista V Orton could have had rematch the next night on Raw with Bryan interfering leading into Batista wanting to beat Bryan fair and square on his own at Extreme Rules but he lose the title to Bryan who could have a Summer title run and lose it to Lesnar at Summerslam or a returning Punk (if he returns).

This is wrestlemania 30 its supposed to be the showcase of the immortals, the card was alright tbh but I would of made major changes to the show and I understand they only put on like 7 or 8 but like I said its Mania 30. My changes to the card would be:

Dark Match
André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
The match is won by Rusev ( I know he sucks but he could do with a push). This takes places on the pre-show instead.

1) Cody Rhodes Vs Goldust
Brother Vs Brother Match. Rhodes goes over here it will be a great match with Rhodes being the heel.

2) Big E (C) Vs Wade Barrett
Intercontinetal Title Match. Barrett could do this on the biggest show of all.

3) The Vickie Guerrero Divas Championship Invitational Match
Stay the same.

4) The Wyatt Family Vs The Shield
Six Man War Match. This should of happened at the big one with the Wyatts winning.

5) The Real Americans (C) Vs The Usos Vs RybAxel Vs R-Truth & Xavier Woods
Four Corner Elimination Tag Team Title Match. This could be a great match tbh and have the real americans win the titles back at the rumble and then lose them to the uso.

6) Damien Sandow (C) Vs Dolph Ziggler Vs Sheamus Vs Alberto Del Rio Vs Rob Van Dam Vs Chstistian.
Six Pack Challange World Heavyweight Title Match. This will be a great match and something the wasted talents go do who are left of the card, Ziggler gets the win by beating Sheamus and turning him heel later on.

7) The Rock Vs Brock Lesner
No Holds Barred Match. I can't decide a winner.

8) Randy Ortan Vs Batista
winner gets control of the company.I think Ortan should go over with batista turning heel.

9) John Cena Vs The Undertaker
Singles Match. This story wrights itself tbh and Taker gets the victory.

10) Daniel Bryan (C) Vs Cm Punk
Wwe Title Match. This will be the main event it would be a classic Bryan has had the title for a few months and Cm Punk want to win the title and so he goes through the rumble and is able to get a title show.

I know its a killer ten matches but like I said before uts wrestlemania 30, thats my card guys.
