Whether its the status quo or not. Benoit took em down, big or small, isolated the neck and shoulder and snapped in the crossface.

IC... really, I know your enthusism and drive, but the fact is that Borga isn't Vader. Vader you can point to everywhere else he succeeded and say 'The guy rocked', and he did. Borga you don't have that luxury and his footnote on wrestling history would read 'Shoulda Woulda Coulda'.

Benoit should have won more, would have won more and could have won more, but he has this over Borga... He won one. Borga didn't and was little more than a guy on a hot streak who faded into the history books

I voted for Benoit, and he should win. I'm surprised the vote is 26-4 though. It deserves to be a close match, not Benoit kicking Borga's ass all over the ring like he was a jobber.

If Benoit wins this one so easily, this could mean he won't have any issues in the next few rounds...

The thing about this tournament is, that just because the score is far apart, doesn't mean it's a squash. It just means that enough people feel that after a tough match, the outcome is the same.

Also, we don't start worrying about endurance until the final 3 rounds, when it is done King of the Ring, one night style. Assume Benoit, after this match, has a week to recover / do steroids.

Yeah, but in this case, it's a squash. It's Chris Benoit all the way. Between number of World titles, number of world class matches, and world quality skills, Chris Benoit takes this.

I'm not talking about endurance. I was saying that non-regulars will see he won by 30+ votes, and think he's so much greater than he is. Like comparing him to Hogan, not himself.

Even if endurance was a factor now, he'd still be fine for the tournament.

I voted for Borga. I've actually never heard of him before, but what I saw of him was damn impressive. All of you comparing him to Khali, it's not even close. Borga is 10x the wrestler Khali will ever be.

Beniot was very good, but for some reason I don't consider him great. I agree that he was actually pretty boring. This will be close, but Borga FTW.

judging by what I've seen of both men, I'm going for the suprise Borga win. This to me, would be the type of match Benoit would lose, but without him losing credibility. Borga's strength here, making it difficult for Benoit to get the crossface in. Borga win.

This is a joke match. Benoit would murder him. Benoit has beaten opponents big & small. Borga falls into that strong man type, but Benoit's ability would come out on top easily. He's one of the most skilled wrestlers in this tournement, and this one would be over within about 4 minutes. Borga has that power factor, which would hurt Benoit a lot, but factor in everything Benoit can do and has done against strong opposition, Benoit wins.

Borga's biggest accomplishment was ending Tatanka's winning streak. On the other hand, Benoit's biggest accomplishment was making HHH tap out to The Crippler Crossface at WM XX to win the WHC. Furthermore, this is in WCW, a company that always treated Benoit quite well. So, I am going with Benoit FTW.
