UWF Mock Draft VI

Goldberg
Big Show

(I really hope they hadn't been picked, I don't think so, I think I would have noticed)

To go along with my theme of "legends who aren't really legends", Rob Van Dam.

He's going to jump off tall things. A lot. Not as much as Hardy though.

In the same light in which RVD was picked, I need someone who will jump off a 30-foot set. I need a great high-flyer who also happens to be extreme.

My pick is Sabu.

Ah fuck, where am I gonna get someone who's gonna mutilate himself like Sabu? Oh wait, I just came up with a mental list of about three dozen. Never mind.

Damn, I was looking at Kennedy, Perfect, Flair, AND DDP as potential picks this round.

Alright, I guess I'll take "The British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith.

Backstory:

Howard Finkel : Hello, and welcome to the debut of the new wrestling phenomenon, Just Pure Wrestling!

Crowd Pops Loudly.

Howard Finkel: Introducing first, the General Manager of Just Pure Wrestling, Vincent Kennedy McMahon!

Crowd Boos as McMahon walks out from the back with his usual swagger to the sound of “No Chance”. Vince climbs into the ring and rips the mic from Finkel’s hands. Crowd quietens down as McMahon begins to speak.

Vince McMahon:
After my extremely successful company, the WWE (Crowd Pops), closed down, I had a dream. A dream that one day I could start another company that not only has the success the WWE had, but build the foundations for another wrestling business boom.

When I was sat at home, mulling this over, I thought of the reason the WWE closed down. That reason is that in the WWE, there were clowns who had no wrestling experience and were just there for the pay check and the cheap thrill. Steroids were back, performers were dying, all because of the WWE! Another reason WWE was getting ratings of low 2’s and high 1’s at the end of it’s stint on TV, was because of the fact that it wasn’t wresting anymore, it was entertainment, PG entertainment.

So when I returned to wrestling in this company, I convinced people that there could be a great balance between Pure Wrestling and Entertainment, so the federation I have created is called Just Pure Wrestling (Crowd Pops). But for those of you who love to be entertained by promos and the like, I have signed a superstar that can electrify crowds, turn heads of even non-wrestling fans. That man is not the people’s champion anymore, he is the corporate champion, THE ROCK!!!

The rock’s theme music hits and he comes down to the ring to a mixed reaction, some going wild, others booing loudly as the most controversial superstar in the history of professional wrestling, The Rock made his way down to the ring. Vince handed him the microphone and went outside the ring to collect a briefcase from Finkel as The Rock began to talk.

The Rock:
Finallyyyy…The Rock, Has Come Back……To Professional Wrestling (Crowd Pops Wildly). And I just have one thing to say to THE MILLIONS (Crowd: And Millions) of The Rock’s fans……Who in the blue hell do you think you are? (Crowd Boos) You think that as soon as soon as I decide to return to wrestling, I will start to love you again and you can love me back. Well I’ll tell you something, if I could I would check each and every one of your asses into Smackdown Hotel on Candy Ass Boulevard and lay the SMACKDOWN all over your candy asses! (Crowd boos maliciously) But I can’t since I have to be presented with my Title Belt.

Vince McMahon walks back into the ring with the Briefcase, which he opens to reveal a gold plated World Championship belt with the words “The Rock” encrusted on the name-plate in solid Silver. The Rock takes the belt as McMahon raises his arm as he and The Rock stand in the ring, triumphant. Rock begins to talk.

The Rock
: This my friends, is the dawning of a new era in professional wrestling…The is the New Corporate Ministry. This corporation will be led by me and will include another singles competitor and a tag team, which will be revealed later in the draft. But first Vince, I think you’d better announce the 2nd draft pick, who will be my opponent for JPW’s 1st PPV, Night Of Legends.

Vince takes the mic.

Vince: Thank you Rocky, and the 2nd pick of the JPW draft is none other than…

Vince is cut off by the sound of familiar music as the lights go out and one spotlight illuminates the rafters above as the crowd goes wild for STING!!! Sting has a mic and begins to talk.

Sting: Vince, a higher power in the company than you agreed to sign me to a deal if I.....I take what is rightfully mine at Night Of Legends, The Rock’s Pure Wrestling Title!

The crowd goes wild as the show ends.
