TNA LD is the Whole F'n Show for 08/12

Yeah it is. I'm not sure if having it right on after Impact is a good thing, but this was a good night for the company.

The two important parts though.

1. Did people watch?

2. Can they follow it up?

That's my gripe, too – I kinda want them to move it to another night – even if it were Saturday or Tuesday/Wednesday just before iMPACT!.

I would imagine the numbers will still be in the 1.2/3/4 range, but the follow-up is the most important thing here.

Nexus, for example, to me, was powerful at it's debut, but quickly fizzled into a repetitive and rather boring angle. Invasion angles are tough to retain momentum with.

The issue I see here: it's pretty clear the ECW guys are here to stay. How many people are going to be pushed aside for these older dudes? A lot of people weren't on TV tonight and haven't been in awhile for the sake of them. There are a lot of angles that just haven't gotten any play since last week and they might not next week. That's not good.

Eh, people said the same of MEM, and MEM helped to really elevate guys like AJ, Christian, etc. at the time.

I'm OK with it so long as those guys continue to work strongly on Xplosion – guys like Magnus & Wolfe, etc – especially if this helps to really push Fortune through the roof.

Thing is though: how many of these guys are going to resign if they're going to be on Xplosion only?

Also: this is TNA. Do you expect them to be able to keep this up?

Hard to say, really – I'm sure quite a few are happy to still have jobs – Red, Suicide, etc. and Magnus signed a multi-year deal recently. Wolfe is the only one who that might apply to, but I doubt that's a concern this early in his career. He's began a new push tagging with Magnus on Xplosion, and if that's any indication of their future, I'd imagine they're next in line for a shot at the MMG.

That's all well and good, but next week we go back to the promos etc and you know the ECW vs. Fourtune thing is going to be the main deal. That'll get multiple segments and that is rarely good.

This I think we all got worked thread is interesting if you haven't checked it.
