And, for what it's worth, I started off wanting to watch TNA today, but now I'm barely paying attention because I've found something marginally more interesting on the internet. Compelling opening segment!

The people who actually like TNA seem to be enjoying it. The people I see here week on week are having a very good time. And going to go ahead and push the idea that just maybe we are TNA's target audiance and you are not. That doesn't make TNA "shit wrestling".

If we're going to do straight math like that, we could say that the WWE is 3x as good as TNA.

Well no, because that's simplistic rubish. But you agree with me on that so I won't push it. WWE is many, many times more successful than TNA and is also good wrestling. Bad wrestling is the crap that people don't want. TNA has a major audiance which is retains week on week. All the reports indicate that it runs at a profit (which given it's status as a tax sink is pretty good going).

It's simple statistical truth, right? Typical TNA cast member bullshit; anyone who likes it is an enlightened fan, anyone who's annoyed by what they see is an internet drone.

No, you're confusing me with you. I could give a shit whether and not anyone likes TNA. What I don't like is the peopole who are so full of themselves that they like to pretend that their personal oppinions reprosent some kind of baromiter of inherent quality. It doesn't.

P.S.- It really isn't hard to convince a million people to watch something if you advertise it enough. The WWE cannot, even if they wanted to, entirely fill the 'professional wrestling niche' on television. A million people were watching week on week last year, before this whole Hogan/Bischoff investment. What have they done for the company's ratings since then?

RoH didn't even manage to draw a 0.01 on the Neilsons. Hundreds of shows fail after one or two season and don't even have to attempt the impossibility of running week on week television with no kind of break. To succeed in this enviroment in a major success. In one way or another success is linked to quality.
Enough advertising (which TNA didn''t have in the early days) can get an audiance, but it could never keep it. Quality TV does that.
