TNA iMPACT! LD for 02.10.11

Taz needs to say he's a former wrestler more often. New fans (as in fans that started watching after 2002) might now know that.

I agree. I mean he won't say it, but when he says he wrestled Angle, he did so to end Angle's undefeated streak at the 2000 Royal Rumble in his debut. He was badass and young fans should at least be told a little bit about that to give him some credibility.

He talks about when he wrestled pretty much every week. What is the WWE marks fascination with the announcers wrestling? Oh right Vince is doing it so it is the bees knees.

It's about having credibility as a color commentator. When you watch sports and a former athlete talks about the game, he mentions his experience and you believe his opinions because he's been out there right? Same thing. Your first post of the night is an epic fail and was just a "oh I'm here, figure I gotta make some anti-WWE remarks". We're just watching some Impact here man. Join us?

And here's why you're not nearly as respected as you could be around here. You make a good point, then have to bash WWE in the process. Why?

So you get "respect" by making poor points that are easily contradicted if you watch the show and bashing TNA in the name of "conversation?"

I thought TNA put out a great product tonight. Hernandez looked like an idiot but that isn't anything especially new. If only he knew how to carry himself, it is a shame.

I liked it overall. They more or less had one night to build to a PPV and for the most part, they did it. That's rather impressive, stupid as hell stipulation aside.

No, you can assess what you are watching and only what is in front of you. What is annerving to some is the constant comparisons to WWE every time something is remotely disliked by a few. Most of us are pretty fair in being critical wrestling fans and thus, will find that no show is 100 percent perfect. That said, to think that everyone making a critical remark is doing so because they hate the product and are attacking you is silly. If you want respect, keep TNA discussion TNA related and leave WWE out of it. Otherwise, you'll be as Rodney Dangerfield always said "gettin no respect at all"

I thought it was so/so. And don't think I'm hating, I enjoyed last week immensely. But it seems like there was a good bit of jumble this week between the beginning and end.

I loved Roode stepping up and getting on the mic, though. Bad ass. That's all I've got to say. Bad. F'n. Ass.

The Immortal/Fortune thing is going extremely well. I'm thoroughly enjoying it. I think it's because there are fresh new "face" faces with Fortune's turn and they're getting spotlight instead of backlight.

Does anybody else notice Rolling Thunder almost turned into Rolling Blunder? It looked like he almost botched that thing. I think the slow and fat jokes are going to shift from Matt Hardy to good ole Rob VD soon...

A little too much going on in the knockouts match. Hell, only two knockouts on either side wrestled so why wasn't it just a tag match? Oh, yeah. To further the Velvet/Winter saga and Mickie/Madison. Coulda done that in place of one of the Karen/Jeff things.

Fuck, I cannot wait until this damn Jarrett/Karen/Kurt thing is over. It's not pissing me off in a good way such as "oh, he's generating good heat!", but rather in a, how is it referred to on here, "X-Pac heat" type of way. Fuck it, I'm almost inclined to say put Jeff back into that stupid ass MMA gimmick if it means the end of this waste of tv space (almost).

All in all, not horrible, but not great. Oh, and one final thought. Who's ready for the Dudley feud to be over? Me too. Devon's still pretty damn good on the mic, but I dunno. Not feelin' it.

P.S. Fuck Robbie E. Change that damn gimmick. 2 weeks ago.
