TNA iMPACT! LD for 02.03.11

Regarding They:

Speculation follows. Gelgarin knows shit about what's going to happen, but even so, if your desperate to preserve the integrity of the surprise then look away now.

Obviously a panicky last minute change has had to be made. Personally I'm absolutely certain that the WWE did this on purpose in order to fuck with TNA (rather shutting down the 'they don't see them as competition' argument). But anyway, TNA had a major storyline planned and are now having to find a way to resolve it that makes sense.

The way I see it, TNA has four logical options.

1) Come clean: Just admit it. THEY punked out on TNA and followed the money elsewhere. Given Nash and Booker's TV characters it's not exactly a hard sell. Kurt Angle and Scott Steiner are suddenly left without the re-enforcements they were expecting, get the ever-loving shit kicked out of them, get taken back off TV (Angle has a new kid anyway so might like a holiday) and Immortal reigns supreme until the next challenge.

Not a fantastic payoff, but interesting in it's way, slightly harder for the IWC to shit on and bringing reality into wrestling in the way TNA enjoy.

2) Get on the phone fast: TNA need a face group to come in and wage war. Then need one fast. The way I see it they have two assets in bringing this about, Tommy Dreamer and a massive pile of P45 carbon copies. I can see two potential factions that could be raised in time to make the taping deadline.

EV2.1: None of us want it, but it could happen and would make sense. Dixie had a relationship with those guys until Immortal forced them out. With the legal battle going on in the background it could easily be said that Dixie was able to bring them back (again) and they help her fight for her company. Bad: but workable.

The Old Guard: Get on the phone to Daniels, Jerry Lynn, Petey Williams (Steiner's protege) Chris Harris (I'm serious), Sonjay Dutt and whoever the fuck else they can remember. The remnants of the X-Division who were forced out by big names like Immortal. They're smaller, less experienced and one hundredth of the name recognition, but these guys are back to help battle for the company they they helped to build. Could be pretty good.

3) Bait and switch: Again, we'll hate it, but it's a solid tactic in professional wrestling. Simply put off the reveal unill the live show or the PPV or whenever. It would be better to have a decent conclusion late than a crappy rushed one.

4) Just go with what you have: Beg Sting to show up. Build a new faction of guys already on the roster. Bring back Woolf and whoever else is out. Turn AJ face and have him lead a group of TNA originals. Whatever. Last time They were coming it turned out that they were already here, so there's a nice symatry to it happening like that again.

Fuck, I missed the start of Impact writing this. :(

a local radio dj, named Johnny Dare, had the FUNNIEST ever rant about Eric Bischoff... Johnny Dare also had a contest to see how long he could keep Brooke Hogan on the phone before she hung up if they would insult her dad or brother. The call ended after like 2 minutes. He basically said "Geesh...your brother...what a dick, huh?? All that crap he said in jail.." Then she hangs up... LOL :lmao: Everyone was rolling with laughter in the studio...

doesn't Omega mean death? So Matt Hardy= death... I always knew it... Matt Hardy is bad for your health...he doesn't look so good these days...

I know who ''They are''..dont read if dont want know.........THEY are...................................naw just wait til end show.:lmao:

We do know about They... THEY LIVE...its an incredibly weird science fiction movie that stars Rowdy Roddy Piper....not a bad movie... but still pretty cheesy.

The Carter family and several judges kidnapped Hogan? Maybe they're the ones who stuffed Joe in a van way back.

Gelgs, I actually like option 1. That would make sense and help the group. Good call, but I doubt that's gonna happen. They did shoot a bit, but then Kurt said "they" are here. Basically, they admitted they fucked up, but are going to pretend they didn't too.

I missed Steiner. :( Better be more tonight.

You may have missed Steiner...but the FCC sure didn't miss him..LOL...what else would those bleeps have been invented for? :lmao: The creator of the time delay became a rich rich person thanks to Big Bad Booty Daddy...

I didn't think there was a less inspiring opener than Nexus vs. Koztino. And then the security guys showed up to face Ink Inc.

Maybe Hulk Hogan is ''They'.....maybe he will turn face and betray Bishoff and join Fortune and Fortune turn against Immortal....hey guy can dream right.....think Hogan will show up...my guess.

TNA needs to have more in ring matches...Some of these plants are just super hot. I get the feeling I'll be lookin at the front row all night.

At some point, can anything in TNA NOT be about Hulk Hogan. I'm hoping you aren't right for that reason. Even when he's not on TV, storylines are centered around him!

Are you implying that this match isn't being contested in the ring?

None of the Above...

Hire an anonymous GM to communicate via smoke signals/carrier pigeon/telegraph/pony express and bring back people like Mean Gene, or Kool Aid Man, or Cyndi Lauper, or Vince the ShamWow Guy, at this point TNA should take anyone...

Then the mystery of "GM" will go on... then the mystery GM would be revealed to be the smartest man in the universe...Stephen Hawking... seriously....why even speculate anymore? This is getting to be stupid all the "SPECULATING" why not just enjoy this trainwreck that Bischoff and Hogan and Dixie are trying to 'improve' upon....
