I just watched the new Big Show documentary on Netflix. Entertaining way to kill an hour, not really a DVD I'd purchase, though. It was fun but nothing special.

I do love me some Big Show, though. I know he's not the popular choice, but I've always kinda liked him and he's funny!

Those were pretty much my thoughts on it as well, I never really saw any of his stuff from WCW so I enjoyed watching the clips of him doing spots off the top rope, also enjoyed the stuff that focused on his feud with Bossman, but i think that had more to do with me missing Bossman...

All righty, so I asked and the answer for right now, because of the WZ Tournament, is no. Once that's over with we can consider it, but Sly says his answer will probably remain the same.

Doesn't mean we can't have some fun and still talk about it amongst ourselves, though.

If you're going for people mainstream fans are going to know then I would suggest guys like Batman, Thor, Green Lantern, Hulk (the incredible one), Iron Man, & for guys from Video games perhaps Dante (Devil May Cry) & Kratos (God of War), obviously I'm not expecting to see all of those names in your tourny, just throwing a few out there

I'm leaning towards Leonardo for the TMNT character, even though Michaelangelo is my favorite.

I always like Rapheal the best, Michaelangelo always annoyed the hell out of me, Leo was my second favorite, and he makes the most sense for this tourny as he was the leader of the group

hell to the yes. Everyone else had these awesome weapons, and Donatello just beat the fuck out of people with a stick. AND, Donatello also was the brains of the group, which gives him a leg-up.

If the Ninja Turtles fought, Donatello would win. Easily.

Hao is inarguably the strongest SK character so he's probably the best pick. Though Yoh (as main protagonist) or any of the other elemental warriors (Ren, Lyserg, HoroHoro and Chocolove) would work since they're all insanely strong.

Lee Bailong (Shaman King) and Rock Lee (Naruto) and Zoro (One piece) would fit into the human tier. Bailong's closest to god tier due to being a freaking zombee who can't die again.

That would be Splinter.

However, Donatello could kick his ass too, but the whole problem is the fact that he would likely refuse to fight him. In an even fight, Donatello would still win. Plus Splinter is old as all hell.

Justin is right, The Incredible Hulk would be a good choice. Though I like Hercule, he was just comic relief and I think Hulk would go better in his place.

Plus, Hulk vs. Hulk would indeed be a dream match.

Should this get approved in the future, I think we'd have to have a public poll to determine which Turtle should go in. That could definitely drum up some interest, because who doesn't love the TMNT?

I'm thinking the TV shows. Both the 80's Turtles and the 2003 Turtles were shown to be great ninjas. I personally prefer the 80's Turtles, but in this contest the Turtle that goes in would be an amalgamation of 80's and 2003. Don't want to get too specific, then we'd have people splitting hairs. Makes it less fun.

Yeah, Hao in the Manga is pretty much invincible. Fucker fights with the power of the entire universe at the end.

The Doctor wouldn't really work, unless he's fighting a robot and uses his Sonic Screwdriver to make it explode. Doesn't he mostly use his brains to get out of situations? Not really a fighter.

Now I'm imagining an alliance between Light and The Doctor.

Personally I like Ren more, because he comes up with assloads of stuff despite being weaker than any of the non junk characters.

Also, Lyserg is stronger than both and has two very different spirits for his fighting style and can fly with his Armor OS.

Were you around for last year's? It was awesome, even if it never made it to the finals. The people who participated had a blast. I need to see if it was archived or just deleted...

And ha, the Japanese characters were a reason I think it slowed down so much last year at the end. No one knew who anyone was That's why this year I want to make it characters that people know, plus the most interesting from both sides of the world. In the opening posts I'd add in Youtube videos demonstrating the combatants powers.

Oh and congrats on the internship, JGlass! If this tournament gets approved in the future and you're still around and interested, I know who I'd pick for my co-runner. That is, if you're cool with it.

Not a bad idea! Might have to expand the tiers a bit. I still don't want to add too many people, but if the interest is still this high once the time rolls around for me to ask about it again, I may have to make it a little bit bigger. Of course, that'll be for my teammates (you guys) to help me with.

There's such a HUGE, diverse amount of characters out there when it comes to this sort of thing that it's no wonder it was so huge last year.

I was around for last years. My two biggest battles were against Razor (Batman vs. Wolverine) and Raiku (Storm vs. Ash). I lost both. I will have my revenge.

And I'd be more than happy and honored to help you run the tourney. Especially if it's in like, May/June. I'll do it no matter when it is, but I'll have tons of time then and I'd be thrilled to make the threads.
