Way way waaay too many peeps. Doc's got the right idea to keep it modest. Last year's tournament suffered for having so many contestants, including but not limited to the sheer scope of time needed to crunch it down. Taking too long is a death knell. See also: this year's Music Tournament.

Doc has the right idea. I'd think Ryu or M. Bison from Street Fighter would make good participants. Wolverine in the God category works for me as well. Perhaps Doc Strange too. Oh and Aizen from Bleach. God section though.

I'd love to collaborate with anyone who wants to help out. I want this to be a community-run thing should I get approval when I bring it up to the staff. There was quite a bit of support last year (not really from the staff, though JMT did fight the good fight for Light rather admirably) so I don't see why we can't pull it off this year especially since we'd streamline it and add in people that normal people know.

Oh and Wolverine is a definite yes. A Street Fighter character too, we'll have a poll or just discuss it in the Battle Arena Tournament discussion thread once it's made and things are definitely up and running.

Hm, I don't know. I think Kane definitely deserved his last title run, as a thank you for what he's done for the company, and I liked seeing it happen. Regal seems to be doing just fine in his role right now, though I really want a feud between him and Bryan leading to a retirement match at Mania.

I suggest M. Bison from Street Fighter for the God-Tier. Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist too. And Sosuke Aizen.

But that would fill out the whole tier. We want to have a wide a variety of characters from several series' in order to drum up interest. I'm not averse to a Bleach character going in, but I'm iffy on Bison since there's already Ryu representing Street Fighter. I love me some Bison, though.

Eh, I can live without Bison. I think you'd have to pick either Ichigo or Aizen from Bleach. Magneto should probably have a spot.

I'd go with Ichigo as he's the main character. It's why I'm leaning towards Leonardo for the TMNT character, even though Michaelangelo is my favorite.

I know about them and even read the manga a bit, but they never really were my "thing", and a lot of that had to do with the fans after the anime was brought to America.
