The characters were an intriguing mystery & that was enough for me to not notice it was long. Never seemed to drag. Not his best work but a pretty good one.

I felt it would have functioned better if, straining to remember, the first and penultimate chapters had been cut out entirely.

Anomalisa is spectacularly good and possibly the most relateable of any of Charlie Kaufman's films.

The Witch: not particularly scary but very well crafted. Shades of Rosemary's Baby.

The ending was what most reminded me of Rosemary's Baby - the revelation of no, it's not Christian paranoia, there's been some fucked up Satan-worshipping going on, here, have a look.

Tonights movies included Gravity and The Majestic.

The Majestic was far too long.

Gravity makes me realise why I love films at 90 minutes.

Yup, I enjoyed it but it did drag on a bit. Moon was better.

Going tomorrow. I'll probably watch Anomalisa and The Pearl Button while there.

What I'm really looking forward to is Bone Tomahawk on Friday.

Bone Tomahawk was a bastard to see even here. It was on at one cinema and you'd have to take out a mortgage to afford the ticket price.

A lot of good parts - Channing Tatum in particular is just a fucking show-off - that never really come together.

The Cloverfield bits almost sink 10 Cloverfield Lane. I enjoyed The Boy more than High-Rise and you need not seek out The Pearl Button.

I'd like to see 10 Cloverfield Lane but it appears to have disappeared from most cinemas during sensible hours.

Absolutely bloody woeful. The one nice thing I can say is that Wonder Woman's theme is pretty good. Two hours and thirty minutes and Henry Cavill manages to maintain the same stern expression throughout.
