Sam's Thread of Chattin' w/ Jake & Other Robust Subjects

But we can't have everything. In a hypothetical world where there aren't fifty things they'd be better off doing, I am indeed very fond of The Uppercats.

My issue with them is that simply put, I don't see them getting the straps for a long time. This is how I assume things will be going:

Team Miz win the feud with the Uso's.
Team Miz lose the belts to The New Day after some miscommunications
While New Day/Miz feud is happening hopefully we get a nice long Uso's/Ascension feud.
Ascension face and beat New Day for the straps.

However I would be extraordinarily happy if New Day doesn't win the tag belts. New Day may have Xavier Woods but Uppercats have Nattie and unlike Woods, they regularly throw some wicked burns at Natayla:

Kidd and Cesaro have long been shunned despite being very skilled - even if Kidd waited until now to demonstrate much of his skill - so it shouldn't surprise anyone when their tag team is shunned.

The best case scenario (that will never, ever, ever happen) would be to keep New Day hamming it up more and more to an almost point of being meta-heels...

and then out of the smoke comes the Ascension, with raw brutality, fucking wrecking them.

Re-package Kofi and Woods as a less racist entertaining team, and make Big E into a 5-count getting monster who got sick of being ignored and not taken seriously (demanding five counts plays directly into this)

Today I watched Frozen. What I love about children's films is that violence is a big no no, but, say, leaving a teenage girl to freeze slowly and painfully to death whilst you go and murder her sister is alright.

I remember you or Jake posting about it in here, never got round to it.

Filth was a film I thought would just be alright then felt like a right knob after finishing it for having such low expectations of it. Supoib.

Also, Sam, I saw I had graduated from my usual 6th position in the fantasy football league up to 5th. By a point. Over Atletico de Charlton.

Oh aye and hope you guys all had a nice Christmas!

One more year of fantasy football - I've got one humorous team name left in the tank - and then I'm retiring, I think. Football is unpleasant enough.

I made a mistake in puffing my chest so soon as my team seem to have collectively shat the bed today.

The only player I had who performed was sitting 3rd on my bench. Nae happy.

My team have been horrendous. Though I do have Swansea players still to play.

It covers the same themes as Maps to the Stars - fame, ego, ageing stars - but does it in a slightly more effective way. It's kind of funny, it's pretty interesting, the camerawork is genuinely impressive. Ed Norton's a riot.

My first film of the year was Fantasia. I won't lie, it wasn't nearly as good as I remember.

Watched Guardians of the Galaxy in 3D before that though and I bloody love my new telly although it dawned on me that I've spent more money in the sales on myself than I did on people in the run-up to Christmas. Even if the telly is taken out of the picture, it is still quite close.

Happy new year to you both.

Looking at the release schedule, it might be some time before I get lured into a cinema this year. Jake will inevitably jump into an insurmountable lead.

Foxcatcher is appealing if only because of Steve Carell's fancy face prosthetics. American Sniper looks like the sort of material that Clint Eastwood should be tackling, though it does make me oddly uncomfortable. Ex Machina, Inherent Vice and, weirdly, Kingsman: The Secret Service should all end up on the list.

Blu-rays for Re-Animator and The Guest arrived yesterday.
