ROH SuperCard of Honor VII LD

There's a simple concept ROH doesn't get: when you get kicked in the face, YOU FALL DOWN.

Also, 98 finishers and kicks do not make a good match.

All of his matches as champ were like HHH/Taker at WrestleMania 2 years ago, except with about 4 fewer minutes between moves. It's fun and you can get into it in the moment, but when you look back, it doesn't age well.

No....no it was the kicking and Richards in general. The rest of the show did nothing for me either. Cornette can book with the right talent. His OVW stuff was excellent with Punk vs. Albright.

But his ROH stuff was crap, that's why the locker room wanted him gone. He booked everything like it was Smokey Mountain Wrestling and it didn't work, he goes, Delirious comes in and literally immediately from the first show Delirious had in April there is a buzz surrounding ROH again.

Yeah HHH vs. Taker II doesn't age well either. I watched it last night and the crowd doesn't react to it at all.

There is indeed a buzz. It would be the static on the feed, making whatever they've got going on mean nothing.

It would also help if it wasn't the same EVIL SUPER MONSTER STABLE going on in TNA at the moment.

And I think that's why I hated that match. At least with Richards, I cared about him. If you don't care about either guy in that type of match, it bombs and bombs hard.

That first one may have sounded clever in your head but it didn't come out that way in writing.

And the "evil super monster stables" are all the same anyway. Barely any difference between nWo, Ace's & 8's, SCUM and just about any other stable there has been through the years. Usually if their not a rip-off of the nWo their a rip-off of The Four Horsemen, but when the ticket sales for ROH have gone up, traffic to places like the ROH fan forum is up, more people are buying the iPPV's then their doing something right, not that It'll ever be on TNA or WWE's level but the actual ROH fans don't really want it to be.

Whatever sells works, SCUM sells, SCUM works. When issues of iPPV feeds crop in it takes away from that.

DANG ROH fans are defensive.

I'm over superstables for now. Aces and 8's have ended any interest I have in them for years to come.

Not being defensive per-say, I admit right out that ROH sucked when the show started, I even said it when Sly used to do LD's, it sucked bad. It took them over a year to get going but in the last six to seven months they've started doing that, I just don't like seeing people put the issues on the performers when having watched shoots with guys like Kevin, Corino, Roderick, Davey and others the issue was always Cornette.

Hell Cornette fired Austin Aries because Aries wouldn't take a 50% pay-cut and sign an exclusive contract to be a manager, because Cornette felt he was better for the role.

I just got done watching the show. I thought it was really good. The opening two matches were a lot of fun, and anything that involves Cheeseburger is going to make me smile. Elgin vs Lethal was amazing. This was the first time I saw Karl Anderson, and I liked what I saw. The three-way was completely overshadowed by what happened outside the ring, but the match didn't look to be anything spectacular. Wolves vs RD was what I thought it would be, but got a bit much by the end.

Then the main event happened and on the REPLAY -- yes the replay -- the feed still cut out. The drama had been building pretty well in the match and then it just cut to Briscoe celebrating. I've been wanting him to win the title for years, but this just kind of ruins the moment. Just when everything seemed to be going ROH's way again, the iPPV troubles pop back up. At least it hasn't been a disaster like the WWNLive shows have been. Still, that hurts the show a lot, which is a shame because I was really digging it up until then.
