For getting super over on his own and selling massive amounts of merchandise? Not saying he should've been pushed to the main event, but at the very least give him a mid card spot

Catering to mostly fedora wearing neckbeards on the internet is not "getting over." If he was getting over then his persona would have resonated with the rest of the fan base. It didn't because casual fans never took him seriously.

Go back and watch some of his matches.. he was over with ENTIRE crowds, not just smarks. I'm not even a Ryder fan but that burial was just uncalled for. I know his character wasn't main event material and was just as corny as Cena, but still a man that over should have a mid card run. For proof, go watch Zack Ryder vs Mark Henry

WWE clearly made the right call by burying him as it has been 3 years and Ryder has yet to build back any of the heat that he once had. He's was never talented enough to even warrant a mid card spot. WWE is using Ryder the best way they can. As the go too guy when they need a squash.

What can he do to regain his heat when the entire establishment holds him back, not allowing him to shine? Personally I'm glad that Ryder is a jobber; I hated him. But business wise it was a bad choice. THey could've made more merchandise off of him if they didn't bury him

Because the best workers can get the shittest gimmicks over and become noticed. Duh. Working 101. WWE has never "held him back."
