Raw 3/06/17: The Gift of Jackhammer

They've done a great job of keeping things moving tonight and jump starting WM but this method one hundred percent solidifies Fastlane and the entire month between it and Rumble as a complete waste and joke. We as fans now know February is just another month not to concern ourselves with.

How do you figure that. Someone who only watches once a year isn't going to spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars attending a show like Mania. What with air fare, hotels, Axxess and all the other paraphernalia it's not cheap. I would say it is every day fans who would put out the money. The ones who come around once a year will watch on TV an save their cash.

It's the only show that gets any mainstream attention, and Vince craves that more than anything. And there's thousands of folks who only have passing interest in wrasslin' that go every year.

Wrestlemania isn't about the every day wrestling fans. It's about the people that come around once a year.

And if you're a fan under 20 years old, odds are you don't remember the Goldberg they're pushing. Odds are you remember Jericho and Owens though.

Bayley is toeing the line between bubbly and just plain dumb, she's kinda like a female Eugene.

20 year olds aren't watching as much anymore. The WWE's biggest demographic is now the 40+ crowd. They remember.

So she gets to insult the crowd and does a freaking mic drop on her way out. It really is Stephanie's world that we get to live in.

How long ago was it when ANYTHING bad happened to her? Last year at Wrestlemania I believe?

Super true. But the 40+ crowd just wants to see a good show. The older crowd (me personally being 32) couldn't give a shit less who the champions are. Just give me my money's worth.

Well maybe they would watch if the top stars weren't pushed aside for people who look like their fathers beating the people they watch every week in 22 seconds. Maybe they would stick around and pay more if they thought they weren't going to be thrown aside so their parents can have fun at Wrestlemania instead.

Brock vs. Goldberg can be there but it doesn't need to be for the title or in the main event.

I'm gonna be 40 in June. I just want entertainment. It's wrestling. Taking it seriously sucks all the fun out of it.

Ya, its pretty pointless with Stephanie. Theres never any pay off on the face scale against her. Mick never gets to one up her either. Stephanie is at her best when theres a payoff and the fans get her rage reaction.

No, that wouldn't help. The younger set is into MMA. That's where they spend their money. Booking the big shows to them at the expense of the crowd who is actually watching would just dig a bigger hole.

If they have kids it's even more expensive. A trip to the Caribbean would cost less.

Of course, but do kids want a cruise trip or to go watch their favorite superstars, live at the grandest stage of them all?

Wrestling wins. Money or not, it is a win win if it is an all out event. It is like wanting to go to Disney as a kid type of excitement.

So young people like watching MMA and UFC because it's what pro wrestling used to be like before it became more comparable to a circus. Oh the irony.
