Jericho's title reign is what threw the title into the crapper even deeper. I mean, he defended it what, once against JBL, and the loss to Kofi? And he frequently came to the ring without the title, or wasn't announced as the champ. I mean, he totally ignored the fact it existed for several months.

I mean, all they had to do was put the title on the line. Didn't have to change hands, just having on the line would have helped. HBK as champion though, that would have made it huge again.
