Probably a regular match or hardcore. I'd save the hardcore match for Backlash or some other PPV because that may help upsell the PPV more. WM is gonna sell no matter what (obviously I'm still buying it and a lot of other non pleased people still are, and I am not pleased at all with the lineup). honestly, i am sold on wrestlemania 25. It is looking like it could be great overall. This is when you take into account that it will be held in Houston texas, a home to many wrestling legends in the reliant stadium which seats over 70 000. It is going to be a truly star studded event with many past superstars returning for the 25th anniversary. I can just feel that something big will happen. THis already has made me want to buy wrestlemania.
Now, for the matches. Triple h vs Randy Orton. This seems to be the headliner going into wm. It seems like a passing of the torch as it is the biggest up and coming star who will probably beat the companys main man.
Big Show vs Edge vs Cena. I honestly think there is no point of Show being in this match. It seems as if they are just loading it with good superstars, but having no point to the match.
Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels. I think this one is going to be great. These 2 steal the show at wm every year therefore this match should be epic.
MITB. I don't like the look of this match. There are way too many big guys in it which leaves little room for high spots. With rey left out of it i don't know what they are thinking. I hope they do something great with rey still, as he has missed 2 straight wrestlemanias. My dream match for him would be a Extreme rules match vs Evan Bourne. It could have soo many high spots and great moves.
Jericho.....I honestly can't predict where this one is going as his opponent hasn't even been hinted. I hope he faces hogan or austin though!

This Wrestlemania is already looking great. HHH/Orton have had amazing promos that actually make me anticipate a match I've seen probably ten times before. I always liked their past match ups, this one though espically @ WrestleMania 25 should be their best one yet. I'm a fan of both but I'm going to be cheering for Orton

I want to point out two things after watching last nights RAW episode. First off, next weeks show is in San Antonio, Texas... and second, the date of next weeks show is March 16th or rather 3:16. Coincidence? I've gotta say, I sure hope not.
I know there has been talk of Jerry Lawler stepping up to take on Jericho because he wants a match at Mania before his career is done. Well, I am praying that does not happen and that Vince flat out turns that option down without hesitation. As big of a loyal employee and colorful commentator as Lawler has been... a match with Jericho on RAW would barely be accepted by fans never mind a match at Wrestlemania. So I beg World Wrestling Entertainment to not ruin history by having a guy the caliber of Jericho job to an announcer that hasn't wrestled in years.
Bottom line is, this is an anniversary Wrestlemania, it's in Austin's home state and he always draws huge and money is a big goal for the company. It's already setup perfectly and despite it being predictable... nobody should care. We would all love to see it while we can. Flair comes out next week and tells Jericho he respects the business and when Shawn Michaels beat him last year he was finished... and he is going to honor that. But then he will tell us the legends have found someone to step up and take the challenge to represent all past legends... cue glass shatter and Jericho's shocked face. Then you have a beauty... herer is a thought to ponder, how about the million dollar man ted dibiase sr. or dusty rhodes; have jericho attack them, which would lead to legacy member ted jr. and cody going after jericho and this would promote the young guns into the upper ranks within the wwe? i just don't see austin getting back into the ring for a one time event, beat jericho, then leave. i dont see the wwe allowing jericho to beat austin either. its going to be interesting to see where this road is leading to.

Hmm, I had assumed a Triple Threat for the ECW championship, with Swagger, Bourne, and Christian. But Christian is now in MITB, which throws another of my predictions completely out the window. I guess just Swagger and Bourne. Clearly MITB is now not only bigger than the IC title, it's bigger than the ECW championship as well. No idea who will win that one. I'm leaning towards Swagger...I don't see WWE putting Bourne over cleanly, not when they've spent all this effort pushing Swagger as a dominant heel. I suspect Bourne's path to the ECW title will mirror that of Jeff Hardy...lots of close matches, and then eventual victory in a Triple Threat.
Morrison now clearly won't be in MITB, so I guess it will be a title unification match with the Colons. Make it a ladder match, please. That will bring back some good memories. And let the heels win. Morrison and Miz both have the potential to be massive stars. Primo could be pretty big too, but Carlito is just a bit shit.
As regards the other matches, I see Edge retaining just as Orton did last year, which leaves us with Orton himself against Triple H...god, that one's too close to call. Quite literally anything could happen. I hate to do this, becuase its very unlike me, but damn this Mania doesnt look like its gonna beat out WM24. Im just not really that excited at all about anything other than HBK Vs Taker. And they are even attempting to make THAT boring. The promo work during the lead in has done fuck all to make any of us think Shawn has any chance. the title matches have all been done before in some manner, and in the case of Orton Vs Trips, about 100 times. In fact, the most interesting thing of them all at the moment is seeing who JBL is gonna defend the IC title against. Lulz. when thats the case, you have yourself a definate problem.

Does anyone else think that for a 25th anniversary Vince dropped the ball?? Things just seemed rushed to me. MITB is full of mid card jobbers. We have a pointless diva rumble match( card filler). A rushed hardy/hardy storyline that until Friday hadn't seemed to take off. We have show randomly thrown in the title picture which I can only assume is a stipulation agreed upon in his contract as of his return last year. Jericho is still up in the air as to an opponent. HHH/Orton has been done as has been pointed out. And a Taker/HBK match in my opinion deserves more build up then this. And if legacy is supposed to be being used to push Rhodes and Teddy why are they not involved???( I smell a dq finish and an prolonged HHH/Orton feud.) Maybe I'm asking to much of WWE
People need to stop asking for ladder matches at Mania. They have MitB, that's enough ladders for two ppv's, never mind one. If they did have a tag team ladder match people would complain the spots weren't as good as the MitB ones.
As for Mania itself, I don't care what anyone else says, it gets better and better each week.
Orton HHH has been handled well so far, last week on Raw was EXCELLENT! There will be so much hate evident between them when they square off it will be a brawl, which will be great for people who like storytelling, horrible for those who want a million suplexes done perfectly.
Edge Cena Show has me sold. I hated the idea to start with, but after Raw I can't wait. This storyline has some way to go before Mania comes around, and I can only see it getting better.
The Jericho one gets hotter and hotter each week. Everyone is sat guessing at what is going to happen which is a good thing.
Taker HBk doesn't need a build up, it doesn't deserve the air time over the other feuds cos the promo on Raw has said all there is to be said. They just need to get it done now.
Hardy Hardy is building nicely in my eyes. Matt wants a fight, Jeff won't give it to him. Matt provokes, and provokes and provokes and FINALLY on Friday we got the reaction from Jeff. These two will tear it down. Great match in prospect.
The MitB may not sound all that good on paper, but Kane is athletic for a big guy and deserves to be in there, Henry can make it punishing, Finlay can take down the monsters and dish out his own punishment, Shelton is the spot monkey in MitB matches and will not fail to disappoint again, Kofi, Punk and Christian can enhance their reputations by putting on a show of athleticism, and MVP can finally get that push he deserves.

I cannot beleive that people are saying that WM is looking great and just mention 2 matches to back up their point (Shawn and HHH match). This WM is looking like a total shit-fest. Firstly HHH vs Orton is gonna be a decent match, but don't get your hopes high. The triple threat match is gonna be a total bore-fest where Edge is gonna have to carry both wrestlers. Undertaker vs Shawn is a tough one. This could go either way. But more than likely its gonna be Shawn getting beat down, does a kick out of nowhere, taekr kicks out and does tombstone to win......BORING been done in all of Shawn's matches. The MITB is looking like a Shit in the bank match. I mean WTF, theres no outstanding wrestler in the match. I've ordered all the WM since they went to Sky Box Office but quite frankly I ain't buying to this shit with the shitty hype.
I will actually be getting WM this year and I am kinda excited about doing so. The matches announced already (with the exception of Jericho's- he has nothing to work with), have my interest. I don't get the channel SD is on, so I am very anxious to see Hardy v. Hardy. I do have to say that right now I am hooked on Jack Swagger and Ted Dibiase and I'm hoping I get to see both guys perform at Mania, but room on the card is quickly disappearing.

Overall a disaster! IDK how marks can even be excited about this show. If I didnt invite people over for pizza, beer (which I will just drink a grip of because of horrible this show will be) and told them I'd order this I wouldnt get it. Well I take that back I would just for UT vs HBK. I dont blame Vince for being stressed out backstage. If this was just my Judgement Day/GAB lineup I'd be pissed too, let alone this is WM25. TWENTY FIVE and isnt even as good as Armageddon!

And as if the card isn't shitty, the whole hype for it has been 'meh'. Hell I can recall GAB 2008, yep GAB 2008 getting more hype for its standards. For WM 25 standards this quite frankly isn't enough and WWE are getting too lazy. Hopefully within the next few years a company actually steps upto WWE (TNA possibly?) and then make WWE come up with exciting storyline and importantly hype.
Yeah I'm sold on WM. I mean, the card isn't as strong as it could be. There should be more big names involved. I guess that couldn't be helped due to people like Batista being injured but hey. The Diva's match should be different too. They could have done Trish vs Beth, but nooo.. we get around 20 Diva's who can't wrestle against 5 who just rinse the rest. Ah well. It's a stong enough card at the aura surrounding WrestleMania is enough to sell the event to me to be honest.

So far the WM 25 card is pretty much finally complete, now knowing all the matches that on the card, i think they could of done a lot better, and the build up to Wrestlemania is def not as good as I expected it to be... Here's what i think of the matches...

Ok how many times are we gonna see a Randy Orton vs Triple H match, I expect the match to be pretty good but it's not something i'm real excited for..

-Edge (c) vs. John Cena vs. The Big Show -
Same with this one, John Cena vs Edge, something we've see plenty of times, they just added the Big Show in it for some stupid reason, everyone knows he ain't gonna win the title, and why does every WM lately have to have a Triple Threat match for the World Title every yr, last yrs Triple Threat match was a joke wit Orton, Cena, and HHH, the match completly sucked.

-Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy -
Now heres a match i'm actually looking forward to seeing, but I thought they could of atleast made this an Extreme Rules match to make it better, but it still can change..

Triple H (c) vs. Randy Orton
No doubt it will be a great match. But like you said we have seen it before. The storyline is ok. It does add a lot of emotion to it. But I am actually starting to think... How could they let HHH lose? It would make the whole Mcmahon family look weak. So unless Orton wins very very uncleanly. I see Triple H standing tall. Or a Mcmahon screwing Hunter is a possibily and seems like the only way Orton could win.
World Heavyweight Championship
Edge (c) vs. John Cena vs. The Big Show
God... Edge doesn't deserve this. He has a 450 lbs behemouth and a guy that can't do jack other than make little kids happy. Edge deserves a heel win at mania. Orton got one last year. But since this is the 25th Anniversary... "The Biggest Wresltemania" what would be bigger seeing the face of the company win the title? If Edge wins I will be extremely happy. But I see Cena winning.
Note: Has anyone notcied Edge is having probelms with legs... He is always limping during matches. So I do believe he will drop the belt... Plus I think Big Show will do something to him during the match to sell the injury...
Brother vs. Brother:

They need this to be a No Holds Barred match. They are trying to re live Bret vs. Owen. And this is not a very good substitute. Matt andJeff are known for there risk taking moments not for there single matches. However I see this going either way and I like that.

He should be in the triple Threat Match replacing the Big Show.(I know he isn't on Smackdown but c'mon) If Jericho faced Austin or Hogan It would've been a great match. Hell even throw him against. Dusty Rhodes. I don't care just not these 3. They all look un-healthy. I do respect all 3 of them but seriously....

This match is going to be awesome.
But I would've prefered this:
-Punk replaced by Mysterio so then Punk could've defended the IC belt against JBL at Mania instead. Plus Punk has been in 2 in a row and the most exciting thing he has done in it, is win it.
- Mark Henry Replaced by Kofi. Seriously you push Kofi so much... Make him IC champ and World tag tema champ in a year of him in the wwe. He was put in a world title match at No way Out. He should be in this match not Henry.
- Finlay replaced by R-Truth. Seriously Finlay has been in 2 and hasn't done something that amazing either.
Other than that I see this ending much like last year with Christian about to win but MVP taking it. Also if MVP doesn't win the US belt on Smackdown! I see a winner take all match between him and Shelton at Backlash.
Note: Is ther eonly 1 ref in the MiTB match? Cause they could make someone take the brief case but the ref is knocked out. Then have a heel grab the case out of the "winners" hands. Then the ref looks up to see the heel with the case and rings the bell. So screwjob.
25-Diva Battle Royal Match:
Meh. But I think this "Ms.Wresltmania" thing could be annual.

-Won't be that great, but won't be aweful. It will be a filler match. I see JBL hanging up the boots after though. And possibly becoming a GM for one of the brands.
ECW Championship:
Jack Swagger(c) vs. Evan Bourne vs. Tommy Dreamer
This can actually become a single match. (Eliminate either superstar) But I would've liked it a Extreme Rules fatal four-way match. With Finlay as the fourth member.

I think it's the poorest card WWE has put out in a long time. I've seen most of the matches before. I honestly think I could have come up with a more intersting show. Guess how much money I've made from wrestling over the years?
I honestly don't see anything on this card that would make it draw better than the previous two. I really wish WWE had taken more of a chane. It's Mania so it'll sell. So I don't see why they couldn't have planned a big ahead and had some of the younger wrestlers in more prominent spots.
But overall I expect thsi to be a very solid card wrestling wise. I think it'll be better in hinsight.

Honestly the only match Im truly looking foward to MITB this year, since I was impressed with Mr.Benjamin's performance in these matches...
but otherwise, I think this could be a WM to forget..honestly the majority of the matches have a terrible buildup. The only exception to this is Orton and HHH, another match I look foward too. For once, (in a long time) the match is more about a confrontation of sorts..its more about the actual feud, a lot less about the title. This is what WWE is missing, I dont mean personal feuds like this but heck it shouldnt be about the title only.

Takers streak is similar to "a title" and this match is for HBK to win this title..compared to the previous Taker feuds at WM, there was a bigger buildup behind it, not to mention the superstars would have a bit of history leading the the months of WM..(ex: Kane's feud with Taker at XX and Orton killing the legend of Taker, which lasted about a year from what I remember)

I personally dont understand why WWE is weakening the SD show by having the SD stars perform on Raw..yes Vickie is the interm gm but that doesnt mean the Edge/Cena/Big Show (yawn) feud cant occur on SD.
And now: I just went to WWE.com and it looks like their gonna unify the tag titles, and whats up with Mysterio coming out of the blue to challenge JBL for the title? That was incredibly random in my opinion and it was just a pathetic attempt to add Mysterio on the card..This is an individual who really should've been in MITB in my opinion. (I dont watch Mark Henry much these days but I question his performance in MITB)

The fact that it is Wrestlemania is what got me sold. The last one I missed was in 1999. I am not gonna miss any more. Its the biggest PPV of the year. So I for one will be getting it like I get all the big PPV's each year.

It's funny but until they announce the tag team unification title match for wrestlemania, i actually was concidering not buying this ppv. For me personally, before that announcement, the only match that i was interested in were HBK vs Undertaker and the 25 divas battle royal. Outside of that nothing really stood out as been worth 55$.
The 2 main events are a real joke especially the way the build up is going. HHH vs Orton is all about revenge and the home invasion angle they shot last week pretty ruin the whole build-up, anyway you know that legacy will interfered in the match since it'S pretty much how they are booked everytime Orton has a match. And HHH probably will be able to overcome the odds and win anyway.
Cena vs edge vs big Show this one is all about Vicki Guerrero but it'S all predictable that Cena win the title back. I would even be surprise if this match ends the show.
Jeff Hardy vs Matt Hardy will probably be a good match but then again, this is just the beginning of the feud so i don't care if i missed this one.

I dont like how wwe gave the big matches away earlier this year. An event of this size should be hosting the first time ever matches. The Cena\Batista, Edge\HHH, Taker/Jericho. The matches that we havent seen in some way for the last 2 years. This is not Wrestlemania , this card could read the same and be any other ppv. The only match that feels WM quality is HBK\Taker and that because we havent seen it over and over for the last year. Oh well, heres hoping for Edge\HBK ladder match at SummerSlam
