i put spoilers on the title in case somebody lives in a country where they don't get RAW as soon as others. Anyway, here are the results

Nice video highlight package of Martin Luther King Jr. opens the show, "long live the dream" indeed.

- Out comes WWE champion, John Cena. The contract signing will lead off the program. Coachman said this might be the last time he introduces Cena as the WWE champion. Coach introduces Umaga, who comes out with his manager Estrada. Fans chant "Cena." Coach said he decided to make their match a special match, and asked Estrada to pick the type of match they will compete it. Estrade said Cena will defend the WWE title against Umaga at the Royal Rumble in a last man standing match. Gosh, not another one of those after last night's match at TNA's Final Resolution. Estrada said there is no way Cena can win that type of match, and signs the contract for Umaga. Cena said he is crazy and full of surprises, and jumps over the table to attack Umaga. They brawl onto the arena floor, where Cena rammed the ring steps into Umaga. In the ring, Cena gives Estrada the FU through the table. Cena raises the spinning belt as his music starts up.

* Announcers plug tonight on Raw, Rated RKO vs. HBK in a handicap match.

(1) Mixed tag team match: Melina and Johnny Nitro vs. Jeff Hardy and Maria. Maria came out and did Hardy's hand gestures. As soon as the bell rang, fans started the "Hardy" chant, followed by a loud Melina scream. Maria hit a bulldog on Melina, but she kicked out. Melina put Maria into the camel clutch. Hardy hit the senton bomb after blocking a superplex attempt by Nitro to win the match.

* Backstage, The Coach talked to Vince McMahon. Vince was on the phone trying to get a hold of Donald Trump. The operator didn't know whom McMahon was (and Vince even had to spell him name), but it was said Trump was having dinner. McMahon asked that Trump return his call ASAP.

- At the entrance ramp, Rated RKO come out to cut promos. They play the "are you ready" part of the DX theme, followed by a hospital sound when the machine informs you when someone's heart stopped beating. Orton said tonight, they get the chance to take out HBK, and end DX once and for all. Orton said Triple is done, and won't be able to help Shawn. Orton excuses himself to check on something backstage. Edge said HBK made his TV debut in Cajun country, and it was fitting, since his career would end here tonight. Edge said he had to go check on Orton. Edge and Orton bring out a beat up and bloodied Hacksaw Jim Duggan. Edge said Hacksaw won't be able to help Shawn tonight, and knows HBK won't make the save since he hasn't arrived yet to the building. Edge gives Hacksaw a chair shot as referees try to stop him. Agents Mike Rotundo and Dean Malenko come out to check on a helpless Duggan.

(2) Ric Flair vs. Kenny Dykstra. This match again? Geez. Ross pointed out that Flair won his 16th world title before Dykstra entered high school. Lawler said he received word that medics started working on Duggan backstage. Dykstra put Flair into the figure four, but the Nature Boy grabbed the bottom rope. Flair wins with his foot on the ropes.

* Smackdown Rewind: Mr. Kennedy earns his Royal Rumble spot with Batista.

- Backstage, HBK walks in with his bags. Todd Grisham asks HBK about Duggan, but Shawn knows nothing about it. HBK said he is sorry they drug Duggan into it. He said HHH will be out six months, and he'll go it alone. Ric Flair, wearing a HBK shirt, offers his services to HBK.

- In his office, Vince continues to wait with the Coach for Trump's call. Vince reads a letter that was written by Donald himself. Trump puts down last week's Rosie-Donald match. Trump says in the letter that he'll be watching this week, and urges McMahon to watch his NBC show. Vince said he doesn't care about Trump's show. Vince said he'll give the people some compelling television, and leaves his office.

- Out comes McMahon to the ring. Vince is upset that Donald called the Donald-Rosie match a skit, and a poor attempt at comedic satire. They show highlights of the "skit." Vince said that was brilliant. They show it again in slow motion. McMahon said he tells his audience what they want to see, rather than what Donald does. Vince introduces "Miss USA" (as he would have handled that situation differently). Out comes Torrie Wilson as "Miss USA." Wilson reads a statement saying she had been bad, and asks what she can do to make it up to Mr. McMahon. As Vince talks to Wilson, out comes Carlito. Carlito tells Vince he isn't cool, and the Rosie-Donald thing was really bad. Carlito said Trump was right about him, and he doesn't know what the fans want. They don't want to see Vince talk, but see people fight. Vince takes off his suit coat, but brings out The Great Khali. Khali head butts Carlito, and beats down Carlito as Vince enjoys it. Wilson looked on in terror. Vince looks at Carlito laying flat on his back and says, "now thats cool." Vince walks away as Torrie consoles Carlito.

(3) Women's championship title match: Mickie James vs. Victoria. James wins with a thrust kick.

* They recapped the Cena/Umaga contract signing angle from earlier in the show.

* In plugging the royal rumble match, they showed images of Vis, Benoit, Shelton, MVP, Nitro, Holly, Sandman, Sabu, RVD, Carlito, Punk, Finlay, Chavo, Flair, The Miz, Kenny, Masters, Matt and Jeff Hardy, Undertaker, Kane, HBK, Edge, Orton and King Booker. I believe thats 25 guys.

- Subway rewind: The solider from Iraq breaking Chris Masters' masterlock from the Raw special.

- In the ring, Masters said he is going to win the royal rumble match. I wouldn't count on that Chris. He said no one can win the masterlock, thus he'll win the match. Masters holds up a letter from Vince that said no one has broken his masterlock since JBL interfered in Iraq. Its another masterlock challenge. Out comes Ron Simmons sporting his 'damn' t-shirt. Masters said he would be prefer someone else, but Simmons insisted. Simmons sat down on a chair. Masters places Simmons in the masterlock. Super Crazy runs in for the DQ. Crazy hits a moonsault, leaving Masters on his back. Simmons grabs the mic and simply says "damn." Lawler believed that Simmons had broken Master's masterlock.

* Wrestlemania Recall: RVD winning the money in the bank match from last year's Wrestlemania.

- After the break, JR said that due to outside interference, the masterlock has yet to be broken.

- Backstage, Ric Flair is on his back laid out and HBK runs in to check on him. Grisham said the rumor is that the last two near Flair were Orton and Edge. Gee, really?

(4) JTG of Cryme Tyme (with Shad) vs. Shelton Benjamin (with Charlie Haas). JTG gets the win when Shad pulled out the leg of Benjamin as he attempted a powerbomb.

- Backstage, HBK said tonight he is not going down alone and superkicks Grisham! YES! Finally. Prior Grisham said Flair had been taken to a medical facility.

- In a record segment, Triple H talked about his injury and they showed footage of Hunter in Birmingham, AL with Dr. James Andrews. Andrews talked about Triple H's surgery. Triple H talked about rehab and his recovery time.

- Outcomes Randy Orton and Edge to the ring, and were introduced by Lilian Garcia. Edge asks us, "are you ready?" Orton finishs the DX intro by mocking Triple H resting at home. Orton wants all DX signs grabbed by security, and they do so. Orton said not even the fans are going to be able to help him tonight. Edge and Orton tear up the DX signs.

(5) WWE Tag Team champions Edge and Randy Orton vs. Shawn Michaels in a handicap match. HBK came out and runs into the ring and goes after both members of Rated RKO. Edge and Orton will make tags. On the outside of the ring, Edge gives HBK a running clothesline. HBK has been busted open. Edge went for a spear, but HBK moved and he hit his partner Orton. HBK drops the elbow on Edge. HBK got up and stomped his foot. Orton came in and stopped him, allowing Edge to spear HBK. Edge grabbed chairs from the outside, as the referee called for the bell. Edge placed HBK's head on a chair, but HBK blocked another chair shot. HBK gets up a kick Rated RKO in the privates. HBK goes under the ring and grabs a sledgehammer. HBK hits Edge in the rib cage with the sledgehammer, and nails Orton in the face with it. A bloodied HBK stood over Edge and Orton. HBK put a chair under Orton's head. Edge tried to stop him, but was chased away. HBK hits the Orton with a chair as Edge watched from the entrance ramp, as the show concludes.

Raw sucked. Again.

I didnt really mind raw this week, but I guess some fans will never be happy until cena loses the belt and dx is gone, so I guess raw will suck till atleast wrestlemania.

anyone else find VInce's in ring promo funny? He finally admits that all of these stupid ass skits aren't getting over with the fans and they are just a waste of time. I would love to see Nitro and Hardy elevated to main event status, I'm growing tired of John Cena, once a rapper and now a marine? come on.

No DQ

The bitter rivalry between Chavo Guerrero and Chris Benoit will see a new battle as the two men square off in a No Disqualification Match for the United States Championship as announced by General Manager Theodore Long.

After securing the fastest time in the Beat the Clock Sprint by messing with Undertaker, what will Mr. Kennedy do now that he is the No. 1 contender to the World Heavyweight Championship?

Also confirmed Mercury vs. Hardy.

i think the only funny thing about last weeks skit that was funny was the "tna" chants and the "boring".

without hhh raw is going down the drain, hes the top dog on raw. and why u hatin cena just cause hes in a movie and hes promoting it. if vince wants to save the wwe. screw these crappy talking segments and rossie vs donald crap and get down to wrestling

I didn't think Raw was HORRIBLE, but it does need some improvement. They really do need Triple H. Until then, I think they need to break Rated RKO and DX up and have them feud for the WWE Title. The problem with Raw is all the segments. They need more wrestling!

he better not, i WILL stop watching the WWE if that happen's.
That's how I feel. That would be a spit in the face of the legacy of the Undertaker if he has to lose his infamous streak to a piece of garbage like Batista. The only person I could see him losing to is maybe Kane. Other than that, Taker's streak should remain intact.

Getting ready to rumble

With only one stop for the Raw Superstars before the Royal Rumble blasts into San Antonio, Raw will continue to raise the bar in sports-entertainment action this week when the show emanates from the Cajundome in Lafayette, La.

Still standing?
WWE Champion John Cena will defend his title against Umaga in a Last Man Standing Match at the Royal Rumble. The Last Man Standing Match has no rules except to beat your opponent so severely that he is unable to answer to a 10 count.

This is what I think is going to happen tonight:

3 on 2 handicap match for the main event: Cena and HBK vs Umaga and Rated RKO.

^The match will most likely end in a no contest where Cena and Umaga fights on the outside and leaves their partners in the ring. Edge and Orton will get revenge on HBK escalating their feud for their eventual meeting during the Royal Rumble match.

Carlito vs Khali

^Khali wins obviously and Torrie might get involved which could have a bad result. At the Rumble Carlito will be the one who somehow eliminates Khali(he is one of the superstars that gets added to the Rumble) to avenge Torrie or something like that.

Shad vs Haas

^Last week JTG beat Shelton and i think Shad will beat Haas to make WGTT look even worse.

Super Crazy vs Masters

^This could be a Masterlock challenge and Masters will win or it could be a singles match where Super Crazy will win.

Jeff Hardy vs Mercury

^Mercury will win thanks to outside interference from Johnny Nitro.

Mickie James vs Melina

^Mickie James will win and after the match Victoria attacks her with the help of Melina.

Segments:

Kenny will admit and brag that it was he who attacked Flair last week. Flair might attack Kenny during the promo.

Vince will talk sh*t about Donald Trump throughout the 2 hours

Before the main event Rated RKO will say that they are going to take down HBK this time because they got the help of Umaga.

Cena will start RAW by trying to be funny and Coach comes out and announces the Handicap match for the main event.

Anybody else have any predictions?

In the UK so RAW desn't air until Friday, when HBK came out last night was it his music or was it the DX music?

it was a good show. i thought. the ending was'nt as boring as the previous raws. its starting to pick back up again. maybe they fired all that talent to free up some space for someone good. you never know

i anostly didnt see it coming at all that the great khali started eliminating everyone i almost wet myself what an idiot.
the part where orton tossed edge out of the ring in the street fight i didnt see coming at all.

Thanks Y2Jake I usually check teh results on WWE.com, but didn't knwo it was on live, thanks again...

This weeks RAW was ok, could of been better though as it was a RAW leading into the Rumble. The match of the night had to be the main event, everyone in the arena seemed to be into it ( as everyone was on their feet). Its unbelievable how Shawn Michaels at his age performs way better that the younger Champion John Cena. Michaels should be the new champion!

Raw was decent this week. Edge and HBK in the street fight was fun to watch, and I liked seeing Edge get the win. After match set up the Rumble. Also Carlito vs. Dykstra wasn't too bad either. Seeing a feud with those two would be pretty good in the future.

World Heavyweight Champion Batista def. Cruiserweight Champion Gregory Helms
United States Champion Chris Benoit def. The Miz
Deuce & Domino def. Adam Evans & Wes Adams
King Booker vs. Finlay (No Contest)
MNM def. WWE Tag Team Champions Paul London & Brian Kendrick w/ Ashley in Mixed Tag Match
Kane vs. MVP (No Contest)
Six-Man-Over-the-Top Challenge - Kane vs. MVP vs. Finlay vs. King Booker vs. The Miz vs. Chris Benoit (No Contest)

Pretty good show. I enjoyed it.

World Heavyweight Champion Batista def. Cruiserweight Champion Gregory Helms

This match was a total squash. WWE disrespected their own title as if it doesnt even matter. They had Batista slap the cruiserweight title out of Helms hand as if it was a piece of garbage.

United States Champion Chris Benoit def. The Miz

This was a good match. It was way better then the warm up match of Batista vs. Helms. This one had Benoit all over Miz with Miz using heel anitcs and basically taking advantage of Benoit until Benoit comes back and gets Miz in the cross face.

Deuce & Domino def. Adam Evans & Wes Adams

All I got to say was this was just like last weeks match. The basic squash match.

King Booker vs. Finlay (No Contest)

This match was weird to say the least. There was no establish heel or face. I chanted for both. Good match but bad ending. We saw Little Bastard go after Sharmel and King Booker comming to her aid and then Finlay comes down before Booker was about to abuse Little Bastard. Booker and Finlay then brawl.

MNM def. WWE Tag Team Champions Paul London & Brian Kendrick w/ Ashley in Mixed Tag Match

Good Tag Match. Mercury barely got action. Most likely because of his injury. They had a better tag match in the past but I can't say this was bad. I just can't stand that now a days every time London and Kendrick get in the ring with MNM they have to job a win over.

Kane vs. MVP ends in DQ(Kane Wins)

This match actually ended in DQ. MVP cheated by hitting Kane with a steel chair technically. MVP then tried to light him on fire! I marked out then Kane sat up like he usually does and attempted to light MVP on fire but sadly MVP got out of harms way so to speak.

Six-Man-Over-the-Top Challenge - Kane vs. MVP vs. Finlay vs. King Booker vs. The Miz vs. Chris Benoit (No Contest)

I loved this match. Undertaker clearing house in the end made me mark the heck out. I thought Kane was going to dominate this. This was the match of the night and they were hyping it through out the show.

Royal Rumble Fallout

January 29, 2007

One night after the Royal Rumble, Raw heads to Dallas to sort out the pay-per-view fallout.
No confirmed match's so far. Although there's meant to be a big surprise, which inevitably will be a let down.

We'll probably see the W.M. start to form, it should be an intresting show.

Result's 29th January.

The World's Greatest Tag Team def. Cryme Tyme
Melina def. Maria
Umaga def. Val Venis
Carlito & Super Crazy def. Kenny Dykstra & Chris Masters
The Great Khali def. Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy (Count-out)
WWE Champion John Cena & Shawn Michaels def. World Tag Team Champions Edge & Randy Orton (New Champions)

The Raw that I saw shows some clear faults and also some good, interesting bits to it. The womens match was one, if not the worst womens match that I have ever seen. Gone are the days where Lita and Trish Stratus could pull off a phenomenal main event. Now we are stuck with Maria fumbling her way about the ring.

Cena and HBK as champions could be one of the stupidest decisions that the WWE have done. They have no business being teamed together and it seems that the only thing the WWE cares about is getting more credibility for their faces, even if it means throwing titles on them for no apparent reason. The finish was just stupid. I understand that the Edge and Orton feud has to begin here, but making them lose like they did in the end was just as pointless as the people who beat them. As long as they can put over Khali as a monster, than I am happy about that. What I don't like is that they are making him run through ALL of the compeition. Where does he go from that if he can't go in a compeitive feud? That is a major problem that the WWE will find with Khali, among many others.

Umaga has lost all momentum he has had and it now looks like he has gone back to destroying the minor leagues of competition and looks to have no direction whatsoever. I would think that he looks like a candidate for a McMahon vs Trump match. Having him lose to twice after having destroyed guys like Kane and a hundred others is stupid. He never deserved a title shot in the first place, and now because of the lack of competition Cena had, it has ruined all of his momentum and credibility that he had built up as a monster.

There was some good, and that was that the main event picture at WM looks a little clearer now. It is about time that they started building up anything for WM and they have left it too late for the main event matches in my opinion. Some guys have direction which they need, but at the same time a lot don't.

The mid card matches are proving to be solid and that shows that we are in for a hell of a show in Money in the Bank. It is good that the WWE let the WGTT get a win in their 'rivalry' with Cryme Tyme. They need to do more of that because most feuds are too one sided these days. It was good to see Carlito and Crazy pick up a win because they needed it. I was surprised that Nitro wasn't on the card though, as he is one of the biggest mid card wrestlers in the WWE now and needs to be pushed accordingly. The Taker appearance was a good way to make us wanting to see what will happen next week. The Vince segment was better than it was with the other segments he has done. Donald Trump's involvement was fresh for it, and I am sure the fans in the arena enjoyed it 100 times more than we did.

Overall, it was much below the great Raw that we saw last week. The matches left a little bit to desire but the imminent buildup to WM looks to have begun. They really need to have the long matches that they used to have. The womens match and the Khali match ruined any chance of it having a solid card. Again, the buildup it is showing to some WM matches was a good, fresh thing to see and something long overdue. It would get a flat C from me because it really was nothing special.

The show was a wash for me with the exception of the match featuring Super Crazy and Carlito against Masters and Dykstra. I noticed some solid chemistry with Masters and Dykstra and I think that with their pretty boy good looks and complementary chemistry (smash and flash so to speak) they could be a bankable tag team. It could give Kenny a few more years to season and it could also cover up Masters' deficiencies in the ring as he is better suited to tag work given his limited vocabulary in the ring. Carlito and Crazy could also make an amazing team as their chemistry was beyond apparent. The fans were into it, and I actually thought it was pretty damn good and worth the pops.
