On RAW, John Cena will defend against Edge in a steel cage match. Jeff Hardy will be given yet another chance for the Intercontinental championship as the WWE desperate try to rid Nitro of the title continues. There will be yet another DIVA match as the DIVA tournament conitinues. DX will be in action but the terms of what match and who it will be against is still undetermined. Umaga will likely face Kane and it is likely this rivalry will not end until Cyber Sunday or even up to Survivor Series.

u know what i think theres a good chance hardy will win the ic title. cena will beat edge and umaga and kane will probably have another brawl. i can see their feud ending at cyber sunday w/ some kind of stipulation match. overall it should be a really good raw

i do think if he ins the ic title it will be yet nother short regin with nitro regaining the belt within a month.....maybe cyber sunday.........then hardy will prolly go to smackdown n get a fued going for the tag belts n finally win them at WM23 in an TLC match!

Hopefully Hardy will win. I am sick of Nitro only retaining his belt week after week because of somekind of interference. Hopefully it will be a long run for Hardy. Maybe just because I don't think Nitro could wrestle is ass out of a paper bag.

i think that unfortunatly hardy will lose with interference from melina but im pretty sure that by NY Revolution the tag team division will have opened up and the hardy boyz will be back. and ps mick foley will return around the royal rumble and will most likely face nitro at wm23

I don't see Jeff skinnyboy Hardy winning over Nitro he is way over the fans and Melina ouch what a hotty !! They should have placed Randy Orton vs Johnny Nitro rulebreaker match as the fans would be behind Randy on this one but then they ruined the whole thing buy bringing out CHris Masters and then Carlito , Jeff Hardy and everyone else as it sucked
Jeff was a sellout to abandon TNA to jump to the sinking WWE ship an dso was Shannon Moore they both suck !!
I see Edge winning again hopefully Lita will win the belt again in the championship division for women . WHat I hated was Trish or shall I say Fish Stratus ****sucked McManure an dCarlito to win over Lita ( I mean she left and went to Hell so what was the point of beating Lita) Lita is a far better scrapper and wrestler than Trish so the battle of the Greek Vixens was pointless!!
:Lastly get rid of DEEP PENETRATION X and bring Back Evolution with Orton,Flair and Batista and add Edge now thats a group and before I go they screwed Batista over the belt to give it to Lashley? WHAT THE FUCK
is this ???

Smackdown Preview.

The road to Armageddon
December 8, 2006

Animal vs. The Irish

Two of SmackDown's heaviest hitters, World Heavyweight Champion Batista and Finlay, will meet on Friday night. Wait until you see what transpires between the bitter rivals.

Kennedy meets Kane

Last week, General Manager Theodore Long announced that at Armageddon, Mr. Kennedy and Undertaker would meet in a Last Ride Match. Less than three weeks away from the huge match, Mr. Kennedy will prepare by facing Undertaker's brother Kane on SmackDown.

A new low for the Guerreros

Chavo and Vickie Guerrero stooped to new lows on the last episode of SmackDown. First, they accused Chris Benoit of abusing women, and then, they used controversial tactics to defeat the Rabid Wolverine. Will Benoit respond to the Guerrero's heinous actions?

Nowhere to run
Last week, Raw Executive Assistant Jonathan Coachman ruled that Umaga and John Cena are banned from touching each other until January 1st of 2007. The ruling doesnt come at a good time for Armando Alejandro Estrada, who is slated to meet John Cena one-on-one on Raw. Without Umaga at his side, what will happen to the obnoxious mouthpiece when he goes face to face with the WWE Champion.

All in
Thanks to an unexpected assist from former Spirit Squad member Kenny, Rated-RKO and MNM walked away with a huge victory over D-Generation X and The Hardys Monday. However, the odds may not favor Edge when Raw rolls into Mohegan Sun Arena, in Uncasville, Conn. Following the chaos that occurred during the Eight-Man Tag Match, Executive Assistant Jonathan Coachman announced that the Rated-R Superstar will go one-on-one against Triple H next Monday night.

Making a list, checking it twice
Victoria crossed another name of her list last week when she made quick work of Maria on Raw. The bubbly Diva joined Candice as victims on Victoria's quest toward's Mickie James and the WWE Women's Championship. What's next for the lady you should'nt mess with?

WWE RAW Opener:

John Cena started the show, then Armando walked out dressed to manage and with a box of Cubans in his hands. Armando tried to get out of the match with his "peace offering." Cena grabbed the box and peeked inside. Shouldn't Armando be arrested for having contraband on the premises? Cena grabbed a cigar, sniffed it, and broke it in half. Armando decided that his next offer was his own wristwatch. Cena then broke the watch in half. Armando then pulled out a roll of $100 bills from his pocket. He told Cena to go hit the casino with the cash. He walked outside the ring and tossed bills into the front row. The fans chanted, "Kick his ass." Cena cornered Armando and took off his hat. The bell sounded.

Non Title Match
Referee: Chad Patton
Armando Alejandro Estrada vs. John Cena (c)

Armando tried to blast him in the face with a foreign object, but Cena drove him to his back and pulled the knucks off and handed them to the referee. Cena stripped Armando of his shirt and landed hard chops to the chest. He followed with ten punches, then hit the FU with a big smile on his face. Cover and the win. Cena wasn't done after the match. He applied the STFU, then Johnny Nitro ran into the ring and kicked Cena in the head.

Winner, the WWE Champion, John Cena

The Aftermath:

Nitro backed out of the ring with a huge smirk on his face. Melina then walked out and handed Nitro the mic. Nitro said there's more where that came from. He said he's teaching that to Federline for their match on Jan. 1.

Backstage:

Cena was walking backstage with a dazed look on his face, as if he just had a concussion. Cena said he has no comment. He has a challenge, though. Cena challenged Nitro to a match.

Referee: Jack Doan
Carlito and Jerry Lawler vs. Chris Masters and Viscera

Lawler took a beating from Viscera, but Carlito broke up two pin attempts following big power moves. Carlito took a tag and knocked down Viscera with a springboard back elbow. Masters took a dropkick, then Carlito ran into a swinging sidewalk slam. Lawler came in with right hands, but Viscera shoved him aside. Masters then put Carlito in the Masterlock, but Carlito slipped out and shoved Masters into Viscera. Ross said Masters didn't have the hold fully applied. Carlito rolled up Viscera for the win.

Winners - Carlito and Jerry Lawler

Backstage:

They showed footage of Cryme Tyme having a card game with the Highlanders earlier in the day. The Highlanders won the first hand, then some random guy encouraged a double or nothing bet and they lost. Classic con game. Cryme Tyme sang their "Money, money, yeah, yeah" song. Kinda catchy. Charlie Haas walked up to Cryme Tyme and said they're pathetic. He said they've disgraced the black man with their antics. J.T.G. channeled Carlton from Fresh Prince for his response. Shelton Benjamin then walked into the shot and said he feels sorry for Shad's momma. He challenged Highlanders to a tag match to show that the World's Greatest tag team is back.

Backstage:

Kenny walked up to Edge and Orton backstage. He said he helped Team RKO win their match last week. Orton said Kenny took a Pedigree and a Superkick last week. Kenny said he sacrificed himself for the team. Edge told him to kick back with a box of milk and watch what he does to Triple H.

Referee: Marty Rabulcaba
The Highlanders vs. Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas

Ross and Lawler said they spotted Haas hanging around Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. Lawler brought up Shelton's checkered past and made some off-color remarks. Robbie took an extended beating before countering an abdominal stretch into a Russian legsweep. Rory took a tag and cleaned house before Shelton kicked Robbie hard in the face. Haas held Rory vertically across he top rope, then Shelton flew over Haas with a splash onto Rory's back. Haas then rolled up Rory and hooked the tights for the win.

Winners - Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas

In the arena:

They cut to a shot of Triple H walking backstage with a scowl on his face.

This Week In Wrestling History:

This Week in Wrestling history was from Dec. 13, 1988 for the Jerry Lawler vs. Kerry Von Erich title unification match where Von Erich cut himself well before the match got started. They cut to Lawler and Ross ringside. Ross said the match is on the AWA DVD and Lawler's finally going to get paid for that match.

Referee: Michael Chioda
Triple H vs. Edge

Edge came out first. Triple H then came out to his individual theme music and not the DX theme. Hunter started the match sporting a 69 DX jersey. He clotheslined Edge and took the shirt off. Lawler said it wouldn't be a wrestling match. They brawled to the announce area where Hunter threw Edge into the table. Hunter caught Edge with a high knee lift back in the ring. On the outside, Hunter tackled Edge. Randy Orton then ran down and attacked Hunter, causing a DQ.

Winner by disqualification, Triple H

The Aftermath:

HBK made the save before Kenny hit the ring and made it three-on-two. Ric Flair then ran down and the arena exploded. Flair chopped Kenny over the top rope to the floor. Coach walked out and booked a six-man tag match.

Six Man Tag Team Match
Referee: Michael Chioda
Edge, Randy Orton and Kenny vs. D-Generation X and Ric Flair

The start:

Flair chopped Kenny hard in the chest to start the match. Hunter then suplexed Kenny and dropped a knee across the face. HBK tagged in and choked Kenny with his headband. Hunter then softened up Kenny's left knee and tagged in Flair, who spit right in Edge's face. Edge ran in and accepted hard chops to the chest. Orton then blindsided Flair with a dropkick, which swung control of the match to the heels.

Mid-match notes:

Edge mocked DX with crotch chops, which drew boos. Edge then laid into Flair with right hand blows to the face. Edge and Flair a good exchange before HBK took a hot tag. He ran over Edge before landing atomic drops to Edge and Kenny. HBK went up top and dropped an elbow on Edge. He tuned up the band and dropped Edge square in the mouth with Sweet Chin Music. Out of nowhere, Orton ran into the ring and dropped HBK with the RKO. Orton quickly ran to the apron and stood with a smirk on his face as Hunter and Flair screamed at the referee. HBK and Orton were exchanging blows mid-ring out of the break. HBK caught Orton with a swinging neckbreaker. Edge tagged in and tried to splash HBK before he reached his corner, but HBK ducked and Edge ate the mat. Hunter took the hot tag and ran over Kenny. He smashed him in the back of the head with a double axehandle smash. Brutal.

The Finish::

Orton and Hunter had a slugfest before Hunter dumped Orton and Edge to the outside. Kenny took a spinebuster, then Flair tagged in. Flair tried to slap on the figure four, but Orton and Edge ran back in. This is hot. Kenny then went for the figure four on Flair, but Flair countered into a small package for the win.

Winners - D-Generation X and Ric Flair:

The Aftermath::

After the match, Edge speared Hunter. Kenny suplexed Flair, then Orton stomped on HBK. Edge slid two chairs into the ring, but Hunter saved HBK from a conchairto with his sledgehammer. He then smashed the hammer into Edge's chair and the heels bailed. Hunter smadhed the chair with the hammer as Flair helped HBK to his feet.

Backstage:

Nitro and Melina were on speakerphone with Kevin Federline in their office. Melina said Nitro was going to beat down Cena tonight. Coach interrupted the conference call. Federline dissed Coach, then Coach told Nitro to pay attention to Hardy-Umaga later tonight. Coach said he was going to make Nitro a star by booking him in a cage match against Hardy for the IC Title at New Year's Revolution. They walked off, but Federline was left behind on the phone. Ron Simmons walked into the show and said his one word line.

Referee: Jack Doan
Victoria vs. Torrie Wilson

Victoria slingshot Torrie throat-first into the bottom rope to start the match. She then bit off one of Torrie's nail and spit it into the crowd. Torrie tried to surprise Victoria with a roll up, but Victoria kicked out. Victoria quickly shook off a clothesline and hit the Widow's Peak. She rolled over Torrie and covered her for the win. Well, the kiss didn't work. You could clearly see Torrie Wilson's no ass in pink panties with a major mid-section slip during this match. We've got 16 photos at the link at the very bottom of this post or at this link.. 100% guaranteed. Afterward, Victoria checked off Torrie's name from the list.

Winner - Victoria

The Aftermath:

Chris Masters then hit the ring and put Torrie in the Masterlock, but Carlito ran down and Masters broke the hold. Jerry Lawler jumped up from the announce table and yelled at Masters, who backed up the entrance ramp.

Non Title Match
Referee: Marty Rabulcaba
Umaga vs. Jeff Hardy (c)

Hardy tried to run into Umaga's belly, but he bounced right off him. Hardy hit the Whisper in the Wind at 2:00, then both men recovered on the mat as they cut to a break. Hardy tried to splash Umaga off the apron, but Umaga moved and Hardy crashed to the mat. Umaga applied a nerve hold back in the ring. Hardy broke free, but Umaga ran him over with a hard clothesline. He went up top for a Superfly splash, but Hardy moved. Hardy then hit the Swanton Bomb, but Umaga press slammed Hardy out of the pin to shock everyone. Umaga then caught Hardy off the ropes with a Samoan drop. He hung Hardy upside down in the corner and landed a flying headbutt to the gut. He followed with a charging rear splash to the face. Hardy slumped down. Umaga landed another rear splash and referee Marty called for the bell, declaring that Hardy couldn't continue.

Winner by referee decision, Umaga

The Aftermath:

Umaga decided he would land a third charging rear splash. He drove the Spike to Marty's neck, then did the same to Hardy, which drew big boos from the crowd.

Non Title Match
Referee: Chad Patton
Johnny Nitro vs. John Cena (c)

Cena wins with the FU. They hype up K-Fed facing Cena, good main event to end the show.

They plug the three hour RAW show

i thought RAW was a good show last night 1 of the best in a while i watched the whole show with out turnin to a differnt channel during some thing dumb n i havent done that n a while

Piece of sh*t!

We all saw Edge and Cena 20 times by now we did not need to see it again.

I guess the Hardyz belong on all 3 brands which is quite confusing, It should have been an 8 man tag with Cryme Tyme/Hardyz vs WGTT/Nitro&(Sub for Mercury).

HHH shaking Cena's hand almost made me puke b/c that demolished his character completely that craves the WWE title more than anything else.

The main event/aftermath was a bit too dramatic for me, how many conchairdos do we have to see while Rated RKO is together? They made it look like HHH and HBK will be out for months even though they will be miracously fine in a week or two like Flair.

The womens match was the best match of the night IMO.

1/5 is how i would score RAW tonight

wow...I do think you were alittle harsh there...I think Raw did a fine job tonight of setting up the PPV in January...I thought Edge vs Cena was an exciting match even though we have seen them fight quite a few times. I am looking foward to NYR

a 1/5? so exactly what the hell do you want in a show?, I thought they did a great job, sure we've seen Edge/Cena more times then anyone can remember but how many times have we seen them go at it without Lita getting involved, I thought it was a pretty good little, as almost all of them were, i thought the battle royal was great and had a good ending, and I liked how Rated RKO demoished DX at the end of the show, and Carlito and Masters brawl should set up a great match for NYR, the only thing that could've been done better IMO, is that I would have Cryme Tyme actully wrestle, but the thing they did with Bush was freakin hilariuos, though they should've beat the hell out of him, that would've been great, I also would've liked to see The Hardys vs. WGTT/Nitro changed to The Hardys vs. WGTT w/ Nitro interferring. I would rate it 4/5.

lol 1/5 u gotta be kidding me man. I thought that was one of the best RAW's in recent memory. They did a good job of it although having Cena main event twice didnt make much sense as he was dominated by Edge and then regained enough energy to beat Umaga who is supposed to dominate the roster.

But all in all it was a good show and the 30 man battle royal was a good way to start it off. Seeing edge win wasn't a suprise but i wanted either Orton or Benajamin or Carlito to win. The Title Match was good, great seeing edge dominating Cena for once and The RKO to cena was pretty cool. It seemes as if we returned to the attitude era with the crowd being hot for all the big matches.

The george Bush impersonater was useless and it's Tyme Cryme Tyme actually wrestles instead of making jokes and fooling around backstage.
WGTT/Nitro had a good match with the Hardyz but yeah it's uncertain wht brand the hardyz actually belong too but i was still hung over by the Show stealer from ARMAGEDDON that tag team ladder match is definitely a contender for the MOTY.

And finally Rated RKO destroyed DX. I know multiple chairshots like that would result in a concussion and yeah it would definitely take around a month to heal but dude this is sports entertainment and face it or not we were entertained seeing DX getting beat up finally. HHH aka Superman when he got hit by the chair was just too good and a double RKO on Michaels was wicked. RAW IS RATED RKO and seeing them getting heat just proves that ORton and Edge are the future of RAW and pro wrestling in general.

On another topic did any hear the NA NA NA NAH hey hey hey goodbye chants due the closing seconds of RAW was sunny as hell i think it was definitely directed to DX.

I admit the Cena/Edge match was good(i actually thought Edge won after the spear) but the finish could have been much better: HBK should have been the only one to come down and screw Edge since Edge screwed him out of the Battle Royal, Edge would head to the back furious that Randy didn't help him and when he sees Randy, he is on the ground busted open with a sledgehammer placed beside him. That would have been a lot better IMO.

The main reasons why i gave RAW 1/5 was the 3 stupid promos that accomplished nothing:Sly was basically talking about nothing only his new movie and that Hogan was his favorite wrestler(to push Hogans return for WM23 i guess). K-Fed came out just to say he doesn't want to be called K-Fed but "Kevin Federline". The Cryme Tyme segment did not build any storyline as usual only the fact that WWE might get sued by Bush for offending him(LOL).

I liked that it was DX's turn for a beating but i think it shouldn't have been so brutal b/c it felt really fake watching it to me anyways. Did anybody else see that woman the camera did a close up on? She was laughing which really ruined the moment completely.

1/5 was harsh so i would actually give it 2/5 because there were a few good things on the show but i totally disagree that this was a "great" RAW for a 3-hour special, i was expecting more for a 3-hour special like a surprise winner for the Battle Royal or something like that.

yea i guess the finish should have been better to the title match but u know HHH rules the show (also due to being son in law`*cough* but he is good no doubt in main event status...possible one of the best heels seeing him shake cena's hand and make lame joke jus freakin irritates me i.e SUPERMAN IN DX) and he has to be in every main event segment/match so i guess HE AND HBK WILL ALWAYS BE 2GETHER and i was actually surprised that HHH was eliminated cause i thought he will be the sole survivor and HBK would be eliminated earlier.

I know K-FED build up should have been killed right after Cyber Sunday but i guess well Vince wants WWE to make it into the Buzz world and wants the ratings to kick off 2007. Sly promo was again just to draw ratings and people would tune it to watch what he would say about his movie and pro wrestling in general and yes that was definitely a build up for WM23. CRYME TYME promo was useless and well we have to live with it, it the WWE we are talking about and it's bound to happen. I just changed the channel so i dont even know what they spoke about.

yea tht lady was laughing but i dont think she was laughing at the situation but i guess it was at something else but yes it did kill the moment. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Rated RKO beat the shit out of DX cause they are a tired act just taking up valuable screen time.

Yea assessing it again well it wasnt great but an acceptable show considering recent raw standards i really wished Benjamin or Carlito win the battle royal also not nitro because we just saw a match between him and cena and well i thought it would be umaga but he wasnt there at all. I really wish Cena loses at NYR but i dont think Vince sees it that way and well i really am getting tired of seeing him and his 5 Knuckle Bullshit. DX should dismember end their legacy or atleast make it better, HHH should stop acting like superman and i'm glad he atleast took a beating.

RAW is RATED RKO and well it's great to see to heels to be hated so much but he fans and loved by the IWC. The Kenny match with Flair wasnt good but well atleast it showed that kenny will be in for a big push and will be great heel...He should join Rated RKO.

And did u hear the NA NA NA NA HEY HEY HEY GOODBYE CHANTS...funny as hell....

I agree with a 4/5 on Raw. The 3 hours kinda flew by IMO. As said above me, I thought that Edge was actually going to win the title for a second after that spear as well. The Sylvester thing didnt bother me because honestly, wth did you expect him to talk about? If you expected anything other then a shameless plug, you haven't learned anything from when celebrities give "interviews" on WWE :p

Oh and before I forget, yes we've seen edge/cena a bunch, but not only was it a great match, I'd much rather have them do this then ruin a fresh thing like cena/orton. I want Cena/Orton/whoever new to be saved for when it will actually be a fued and matter, not a 1 night thing.

Alex~Vab

Edit: Still forgot a few things!

I also loved DX getting the shit kicked out of them so fucking tired of their "hilarious antics" *sigh*.

Kenny getting a CLEAN win really shocked me as to WWE a heel getting a clean win seems impossible. Hopefully he gets a push and joins rated R.K.O as opposed to fading into obscurity.

January 1, 2007

K-Fed vs. John Cena is the only confirmed match.

I see K-Fed getting the win in a match that's going to full of interfearence. I cant see him loosing and as usual the heel usually get's the upper hand before a P.P.V. I expect Umaga to leave him bloody and battered.
