Rookie Round 2 - The Greatest Film of All Time

As the title suggests, this round is designed to pit all of our rookies against one another in the films section.


Each rookie gets to pick a film, and will have to create an O.P. asserting why that film is the greatest film of all time. The criteria is 100% completely up to them. These threads will be open to the entire forum, but the other 7 rookies (and their pros!) are of course encouraged to go into each others threads trying to knock down the OP's assertions.


Films will be taken on a first come, first serve basis. Please post the name of the film you will be backing in this thread. Once a film has been selected by a rookie, that film may not be chosen by anyone else.


Judges will vote based on a variety of criteria - strength of the OP, level of involvement in the thread, ability to handle other posters objections and challenges - even the rookie's tendency / ability to accurately report spam or other posts against our rules so a moderator can handle it. All of these things will factor into the voting.

There will be NO immunity handed out this round - everyone is on the line. TWO eliminations will be made this round, narrowing our field to 6.

I know there's going to be some film snob who's going to come and argue with me some subtleties, but the fact is, if we're picking one movie, I'm going with the First Godfather. I was tempted to take #2, but the story of moving out to Vegas just never did it for me, though weaving in Don Corleone's backstory was brilliant. Still, there is literally no argument you can make that The Godfather sucked
