You know the truly awkward thing. Minnesota has stumbled twice now in the Primetime spotlight. The Playoffs, of course, will be considered "Primetime". Something is going to need changed, and quick.
Also, Minnesota is still the "2nd best team in the NFC" and yet they had to get "help" to stumble into winning the NFC North crown, from Pittsburgh. I'm quite sure they would've won it next week anyways.. but for purpose sake, Carolina's meaningless victory has fucked up a lot of things in the NFC Playoff picture.
1. New Orleans is likely captured Home field throughout.
2. Minnesota could (in theory) lose Home field and a first round bye to the Eagles.
3. The Media is beginning to play that stupid "Is Favre too old to play" card.
4. Minnesota needs to prove they can actually WIN when the spotlight is on them.
For what its worth, I'm still backing the following NFC teams.
(NFC) - 1. Minnesota Vikings/New Orleans Saints. (it has to be a tie, because I have Family members who are fans of both teams)
Not for nothing.. I'm proud of Matt Moore and the Panthers for not giving up like so many other teams who have nothing to fight for, seemingly do.
