I couldn't find my old thread, probably because I didn't look, and it reminded me too much of when I was interesting enough to be on the radio anyway.

Things that are on my mind:

1. The American obsession with university sports is quite baffling to me. Though, that being said, none of them noticed that I nominated myself and came second in "College Athlete of the year" in the sports forum.

2. I genuinely don't know what my opinion of Roy Hodgson is any more. I do know that I like other Liverpool fans less. Bring Back Benitez? Seriously?

3. IC25 said somewhere he was getting his avatar on a t-shirt. I got my avatar off a t-shirt I already have.

4. I make quite obscure thread titles, so nobody ever posts in them. I nearly called this thread "23 years of living, and nothing means anything to me", but I thought better of it. It's still pretty obscure, but at least it makes a bit of sense.

5. I've been planning to actually post on the forums for a while. Today might be the day.

Yeah, I had a scholarship, and people who have links to the Navy don't pay as much anyway, it was a running joke that my friends were paying for me to be there. There are a lot of idiots out there. Benitez has developed a ridiculously large chip on his shoulder regarding his tactical setup. "My way or the highway" even when though my way has lost us 5 consecutive games.

Arsene Wenger has done the same and as a result may not win anything with what has been the best footballing side in England for about 5 years. "We must walk the ball into the net" even though the opposition have ten men behind the ball...

England. Also, I wouldn't buy a Torres one if I were you, he'll either stay shit or leave. For some reason they charge you like £40 to get name on the back in America.

Hiddink is getting paid £5 million a year to do a game a month as the Turkey manager. Liverpool have not shown what they are willing to spend and are in 9th and the Europa League. Hiddink, nor 90% of the other people that have been linked with the job, will want the job. The only ones that would go there are probably Owen Coyle and O'Neill. For all the total bullshit that Liverpool fans say about Hodgson, one thing that is true is that he's never done anything particularly earth shattering in one of the big 4 European leagues. Those two have done even less.

I doubt one of the most recognizable, successful and popular teams in the world cannot entice a world class coach to join their ranks. It seems baffling how clubs in Spain and Italy which many people wouldn't even know the name of can have better coaches then a club like Liverpool.

They should've gonne for Luis Vann Gaal when they had the chance.

Liverpool is all of those things, but it would need to show it isn't in decline before it got a world class manager. Inter Milan didn't have a world class manager for about 10 years after Trapattoni left, and while not as historically successful as Liverpool, they were certainly one of the bigger European clubs. The same thing will happen to Liverpool, I just hope it doesn't take another ten years for the decline to stop.
