Girardi shouldn't have pulled Nova after 2. AND shouldn't have pulled Hughes after 1.1.

HOWEVER, CC is now in, and he can get them to the 8th and Robertson and/or Rivera.

And lost in all of that is that it's 2-0 in the top of the 5th.

If Fister goes 6, he'd be lucky. He's at 83 pitches through 4.

OK according to Girardi Nova got pulled because he tightened up a bit, so it might have been injury related.

yeah, just forearm tightness.

And Jesus Christ. What is Joe Girardi thinking. At least let CC go 2 innings. CC out, and the Yanks are starting the 3 headed Bullpen monster, with Soriano coming in.

Robertson will now come in in either before or during the 7th.

Soriano gets the double play (even with the runner going), and we head to the bottom of the 6th.

If the Yanks lose, Girardi is gonna hear it from the fans, but you can't really blame him, he couldn't expect Nova to go 2 innings.

Scherzer in for the Tigers in the 6th.

He was beast in Game 2, but it's bullpen work, so you don't know what to expect.

Big DP there.

CC going 2 innings? Yeah he's not being an idiot this game.
First of all, it wasn't like CC was lights out. He was servicable. Plus he has a 3 headed Monster that is available for 4 innings today (Mo 2, Soriano/Robertson 1).

And CC not going long is actually the one move he did today that is managing for the ALCS. If the Yanks win today, CC can now pitch Game 2 (Sunday). If he went long today, he wouldn't be able ot go until Game 3 or 4.

Fucking hell. Tex hit it to the Center Field Wall.

And TBS said that sent Leyland to the clubhouse for a "deep breath." I think they meant a smoke...

If I never hear Written In The Stars again, I'll be happy....

Oh, and top 7th now. Jorge got another hit, but was stranded.

Delmon Young out with an injury to his side. Ryan Rayburn in Left Field now.

Scherzer still in for the 7th before the 2 Tigers guys that have not been that scary this postseason.

According to Fox Sports Detroits Rod Allen (on Twitter, RTed by Ken Rosenthal), it looks like Delmon Young might have suffered an Oblique injury. That's might be a bad loss for them if they continue to the ALCS.

Jeet with an infield Single. Grandy up with a runner on 1st.

BAD, BAD, BAD move by Leyland. He just pulled his best pitcher he had left for a suspect bullpen. Scherzer should have closed this game out for him.
