IMPACT Wrestling LD for 09.29.11 Features Hogan's "Major Announcement"

With promos every week, you'd think they would have given you a reason by now............just sayin'.

Probably because I'm nearly positive that Roode was not the original choice to win the BFG series. Morgan most likely, possibly even Crimson. Roode was a contingency plan (even though I really like him and personally am glad he won), and as such, they were ill prepared to hype him properly.

I've found it all hinges on how you feel about Roode.

Eh. I've been a big supporter of Roode for a long time and I find this build to be quite subpar. The whole thing is about headgames for Roode but it's barely showing. Plus, the feud is Roode and Angle who really haven't had a tone of interaction in the past. Thus, they need to establish something meaningful in these 5 weeks and here we are in week 3 with very little to go on. Give me ANYTHING as reason as to why these guys should be pissed and wanting to fight. I mean Angle's a jerk now right? Let him say that Roode wasn't held down all these years, he just wasn't that good and that he'll show that and BFG. Then Roode overcomes the odds of beating the "great" Kurt Angle.

Dude, I can't even tell you how awesome it would be if this was Matt Morgan rather than Roode. I like both but Morgan is a legit beast and would be the BEST of ANYONE in the company at being the company face. He's a great guy, great public speaker, really a solid guy to put out there to promote your company. I have no doubt that he would have been a better choice and may have been the choice from the beginning. That guy needs to get to the top and soon.

Roode, I never say this about anyone, but I think he'd be a better heel champion. That said, I DO NOT want a swervy swerve to turn him heel at BFG. Let him win as a face and see how it goes. I'm just saying that his heel run is better than this "I've waited a lifetime for this shot" shtick.

What happened to that ratings system for the X-Division that was based on the outcomes from like a month ago?

I strongly suspect it was supposed to be Morgan. I wouldn't mind Roode winning as a face but leaving the show with Hogan.
