Agreed that Lesnar squashing Cena was way more effective than Lesnar squashing Bryan would have been, but Bryan's injury was a major blow to the division. He was perhaps the only guy that could really play the underdog in a believable enough way to beat a guy like Lesnar. I realize that more than ever now when we have guys like Balor and Zayn trying to fill that role and they can't do it.

Zayn definitely feels like a less-effective Bryan, but Balor not so much, at least to me. Yeah he's small, but he's presented as a force to be reckoned with. He even has "superpowers" with the Demon thing. Plus he has a suave, cool factor that contradicts Bryan's lovable everyman persona. Finn is his own thing, or at least he should be.
