I also don't understand how Bryan being part of the Wyatt Family Stable is a good thing for him if this is indeed a the actual plan.

In Wrestling it's easier to get over as a heel and be booed a lot than a face being cheered by the crowed. Heck even the face of the company, John Cena, get a ton of boos in a number of live events.

Naturally when the number of unanimously over faces are in short (or shorter) supply than fringe fan favorites or outright heels then your stock in the company should rise. Considering the unsuccessful face pushes in recent years like The Miz, Kofi Kingston, Del Rio, and Ziggler that's even more true.

What I am saying is that you are in a better position to be a loved and cheered for face than a heel as part of a stable.

Even someone like The Rock when he was the Corporate Champion. Even when he was the Champion the focus of the group was mostly on Vince McMahon and Austin. The Rock was just playing 2nd tier to the whole especially at WM when his spotlight was just as much as Foley's or Big Show (potential guest referees). Once The Rock broke out of the stable that's when things started going for him.

Same goes for Bryan he had so much momentum riding in as a face and you become the most valuable at the roster if you are in that role.

Common argument is that its to add depth in his character. Problem I see here is that WWE has to be thinking long term to pull this off. Of course what we hear from backstage rumors and reports is that WWE and Vince tends to change their mind on a daily basis in almost every angle or storyline. So I remain skeptical about this.

Bryan comes out on raw with the wyatts grabs a mic and says "you buy tickets, you buy t-shirts, you download the app, you tweet with whatever hastag they want, and for what? to see me get my ass kicked week after week? to see the same 2 pretty boys trade titles? Then Bray comes out and cuts promo saying "the fallen angel was the lords favorite"

Boom, gimmick makes sense and is immediately the hottest thing on tv each week.

I agree with you on all counts, Jack-Hammer. It really will be about how this is handled going forward. It has the potential to be really good, or really bad, for Daniel Bryan.

Do you have an opinion on the WWE.com edits? Does this give you pause about how they want the story to progress? I'm worried that they chose to remove the most important comments from Bryan about being kept down by the machine. Seems strange that they eliminated that portion of what he said, but kept in everything else.

Wishful thinking on my part but perhaps they're going to promote this upcoming Monday's Raw as Daniel Bryan telling us why he's offered himself to the Wyatt Family. Maybe DB jumped the gun in getting to the "why" aspect of it all by saying what he said Monday night and they wanted more of a "WTF! Why Daniel Why?" response. Bray has mentioned the machine before in his promos directed at DB, right?
