D-Man and IC25's Official NJexus HQ

I can't even remember the steps I gave and it was a flawless process!!! I'm brain farting so bad...

This should be interesting... D-Man, Ive been married for 3 years. When my wife and I were dating, she was extremely grateful and said "thank you" for everything. These days, particularly the last 6 months, she's been the polar opposite. She doesn't thank me for the smallest things, such as holding doors, or for larger things, such as me taking her somewhere nice for dinner or for buying her something shes wanted for a long time. She's great in just about every other way(and I mean, EVERY other way), but the ingratitude is really starting to piss me off. Should I let it go, or should I say something to her about? If I should say something, how should I go about it without being condescending? :)

Good question.

Even though it sounds harsh, I'd slightly cut down on the chivalry a bit and see if she notices. Don't hold as many doors open... don't go out of your way to do chivalrous things. See if she makes a comment. If so, you tell her the truth; if she makes a comment like, "Not holding the door for me anymore?" then, in a nice way, mention that you haven't seen any type of gratitude from her so you didn't think she appreciated your chivalry the way that she used to. This will turn things around on her and not make you look like a jerk for discontinuing your methods.

Remember, don't be a dick about it. You have to be very cool, calm, and collected.

We're gonna have to start handing out some nominations before D-Man snatches up all the good talent, or has this been happening behind the scenes?

I have a major announcement to make once my name gets changed, which will also explain why I've been a litle sporadic on here lately...

Ok, so I have some decisions here.

Bear in mind, I'm looking more for the rookies building a name. Guys like Super Dave, Numbers, and Blue Cardinal don't need my help. I look out for them anyway. Doug Crashin and Milenko don't need a mentor, they need confidence and to worry less that everyone thinks and just be the best posters they can be. Ignore the haters.

The Natural and JGlass are my HHH and Orton, respectively.

Stinger, FuNKay J, and Mister Awesome are all solid choices. Mr Brownstone is a solid music poster, Rattlesnake is better than he thinks he is and could use a shot of confidence, Remix is a guy I've grown to really like, same with Sound of Madness. Rox is consistent (KB should def snatch him up) and I like PaperGhost's sense of humor.

I'm going to form ICE with The Natural, TGlass, and FunKayJ. But that doesn't mean I'm still not gonna be looking out for the rest of these guys. This is an impossible choice and I don't wannt turn it into a competition. At the end of the day it matters very little because everyone I listed above is awesome and deserves a look. Maybe another veteran looking for mentees can take on a few of these guys. Overall none of them 'need' it, but it could be fun. Besides, I'm always down for some competition.

So, IC, am I to understand that if The Natural is your HHH and JGlass is your Orton, that FunKay is your Batista, leaving you to be the Ric Flair of the group?

If so, that's quite an impressive faction, solid from top to bottom.

Don't be surprised, you definitely deserve it. I think you're one of the most well-rounded posters.

Thanks. I'm a little surprised actually but that doesn't mean that I'm not grateful. Thanks IC. Look forward to working with you, JGlass and Natural. Now, because it’s fitting:

Thanks man, I like it. Some solid newcomers.

How've you been?

Lee needs a mentee after Arkham Noir totally blanked him. Try there.

Additionally, I have an odd affection for JGlass.

Gee wiz, I bee these guys are going to all become really good posters now!

If you were a real man you would've taken up the impossible challenege that is Mr. Crashin.

Glad to have Rattlesnake aboard. I've had a debate or two with him and he was a more than competent poster.

I've been excellent, thanks for asking. Hopefully you had a great Christmas and New Years.

I see you've added to your already impressive faction. The Natural, FunKay, and JGlass are all solid as I said before. Rattlennake is really good too, I guess the strong keep getting stronger.

I was a little surprised though with your choices to be honest. Not because of a lack of ability on any of their parts (see above), but simply because in my opinion, neither of them needs a mentor, they are already pretty good all on their own. I would have expected you to pick a couple of "diamonds in the rough," so to speak, a couple of guys who were newer to these forums, probably younger, who would benefit more from your assistance.

Not to be critical, just a little surprised, that's all. When I become someone's mentor :lmao: that will be the approach I will take.
