CM Punk WINS The WWE Championship!!! Cena fired???

Hovertical

Occasional Pre-Show
Really...OMG CM Punk just cut probably the best promo I have ever heard ever, like while I'd be first to admit he is awesome on the stick...this is the best on the stick I have ever heard...I really hope his leaving is JUST and angle now.

What a great worked shoot. First person who says it's a legit shoot gets shot. If it wasn't worked, it wouldn't be let on.

This kinda goes on to prove my point that WWE works the IWC into hating Cena even more and doesn't care that he gets booed by you guys. I'm sure some people still think they're more sophisticated than Vince though. Idiots.

I hope this turns into an angle. Not a full on ROH invasion angle, but like Second City Saints, the original Saints. Ace is semi retired now though but I'm sure he'd come back.

I wish I could have been there when Punk got that promo approved, and seen Vince's face as they went over it. This is the kind of stuff that would make PG WWE bearable, just add a bit of seriousness and realism to your angles.

I am totally speechless. I mean...... WOW! Was this REALLY a real shoot? I don't see Vince McMahon actually scripting something like that. Now THAT is how all promos should be. WOW! The more he kept going made it seem more and more real. I imagine.....

Its going to be interesting to say the least in the next few days and weeks as to what will transpire from this. I thought it was a great promo and while I dont know anything inside the business asides from what is posted on websites like wrestlezone.com, it could have potentially struck a nerve of Vince. A+ though

Hooooooly shit, Punk is GOD. I can't tell if this was work or shoot or worked shoot or a combination of the three or what, but that was the best promo I've heard since Paul Heyman and Joey Styles' big "shoot" style promos in a similar manner.

This is either going to be the start of the WWE sucking significantly less, OR that promo was all shoot and Punk is going to get lead to the door. If WWE lets him go now, he becomes the single hottest commodity in the pro wrestling (OR SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT) industry today. At the same time, if that was a worked shoot, the WWE made a massive turn for the better and Punk could be the guy to lead them out of the PG Era.

I totally agree with you...

Oh my God this promo had me cheering for me triple the amount I was before! From including names like Hulk Hogan and Brock Lesnar, to ripping on the McMahon family, I was just waiting for him to mention TNA. It had me honestly believe that it wasn't scripted...

Can someone please tell me if it was? Because it was very believable that is wasn't kayfabe. Especially when the microphone cut off and then they WHOLE SHOW totally cut blank like an episode of the Soprano's.

I loved the shoutout to Colt and the mention of other organizations. The emotions he put up sounded and felt real!
Great mic worker

God I love CM Punk more and more every day.

He better be working us over and HE BETTER be on Raw on July 18th when I take a trip to the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin for Monday Night Raw.

And he better be there with the World Title around his waist.

No way it was real since it would have been cut at the 1st sign of contempt... but that was without a doubt one of the best promo's I have ever seen... all while in a stone cold shit haha.

A+

Definitely, he brought up great points and cut an attitude type promo. IMO this enhances the interest and depth of the storyline.

i've got to admit, i'd be the first to get shot cause i marked the hell out and legit thought it was real. i've been watching Raw since it first started in 93 and that was the single greatest moment i can remember from Raw in the last couple of years. I'm sad that they just cut the mic and the show but it does offer a great cliff hanger for next week. can you say Vincent K. McMahon in the building next week? If the next three weeks are the last we get to see Punk on WWE TV, then i'm glad they are finally cutting him loose and letting him go over his way.

Was totally waiting for him to mention TNA.

Seriously was that worked or not? Because cutting off in mid-center like a freaking episode of the Soprano's really made me feel like it was legit.

Fucks sake IT WAS NOT A SHOOT. Are you guys ******ed? They've plugged ROH before, cabana was on WWE TV before, everyone knows Hogan kisses ass, lots of people hate the Rock (yea yea he gets nostalgia pops but people do hate him), lots of people hate Cena (that Cena works into hating him even more every week).

This makes Punk more hateable to the young fans and the smarks (who already like him a lot anyways) like him even more and hate Cena even more. NOTHING that he said was all that crazy or offensive to vince. The only people who give a shit about shoots are the IWC (who love Punk and hate Cena). This is just another way that Vince is working the IWC into thinking they matter and that they're "smart". Making a "shoot" that tells them they're right.

That was great, the cut off of the mic and show at the end made it all the more believable. Great promo and production. I would kill to see Vince's initial reaction when Punk pitched it.

That was one of the best endings to Raw in a long while that didn't involve a beat down or a beer bash. I like how he was wearing a Stone Cold shirt for it, too. CM Punk is now, in my eyes, the best promo guy going today. I hope him leaving the WWE is an angle, which I think it is, for he alone makes me want to watch Raw, just like Stone Cold used to.

This was a real fucking shoot. Vince would never approved this. He mentions Heyman, NJPW, ROH. THAT'S NEVER SCRIPTED. !!!

Fucking amazing! Punk just saved RAW from becoming just another mediocre event! My god that promo was awesome. It left me speechless with all the things he brought up. The thing he said about him not disliking Cena but he kisses Vince's ass is the thing that makes me believe this was a legit shoot. But if it's a work, I still commend the man. Punk, without a doubt stole the show once again and I hope he stays with WWE because he really can be the biggest star ever.

this had to been the best promo ever. i am truly going to miss punk and all of his awesomeness. said it like was. and love the stone cold shirt he is wearing.

Especially when the microphone cut off and then they WHOLE SHOW totally cut blank like an episode of the Soprano's.
lol you're fucking sad. He didn't mention TNA because A)he doesn't like TNA B) the smarks he caters to doesn't like TNA C) why?

It's a work, it's to make stupid smarks think they matter and to get them to pay to see their hero destroy their villain. No different than a Cena promo talking about Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect. I mean, it was amazingly done no doubt. But don't mark, it's sad.

I joined just to post in this thread, but that was undeniably the best Raw ending since the Nexus takeover last year. What really drew me in was the mention of Paul Heyman and taking the belt back to Ring of Honor. I never would have ever thought about Punk ever mentioning Paul Heyman, much less ROH on WWE.. Hopefully Punk will keep this momentum and energy up for the next few weeks at least if he is truly leaving.

That was probably the best WRESTLING promo ever cut. It's obviously a worked shoot, but I hope they let Punk take the title to NJPW or to ROH for a few appearances. If you guys noticed, he didn't threaten to take the belt to TNA.

The best part of the promo was when he went in on Johnny Ace and then they killed his mic and cut the TV feed. Best ending to raw I've seen in a very long time.
