CM Punk WINS The WWE Championship!!! Cena fired???

This was the most EPIC promo ever. AMAZING even for C.M. Punk standards. I was in absolute awe. I can only imagine the kiddies going "huh?" The Rock is my all time favorite and it's because of his genius, hilarious promos. I cannot believe what I just saw by Punk. Not only what he said but the way he delivered everything by being so calm and poised. The fact he has never held the WWE title at least once is a crime. I've always loved Punk but THAT was the promo of promos right there. Just wow.

I rate it 11/10.

I hope WWE "fires" Punk now just like they "fired" danielson and then he comes back through the audience like Matt hardy. That way you all can go "SEE IT WUZ A SHOOOT!!!!" But then he'll come back and you'll be like "HE RLY HATES VINCE N CENUH" and then you'll soon realize the whole thing is a work.

This is a brilliant worked shoot....WORKED.

you know something is really good in pro wrestling when you know it will be a work......but it does get you guessing that it could be a real shoot..

c.m punk was the highlight of the night...how about that stone cold steve austin shirt...they would be a bunch of idiots to let Punk walk away if the momentum keeps up and he gives us a few more nights like tonight

Fucks sake IT WAS NOT A SHOOT. Are you guys ******ed? They've plugged ROH before, cabana was on WWE TV before, everyone knows Hogan kisses ass, lots of people hate the Rock (yea yea he gets nostalgia pops but people do hate him), lots of people hate Cena (that Cena works into hating him even more every week).

This makes Punk more hateable to the young fans and the smarks (who already like him a lot anyways) like him even more and hate Cena even more. NOTHING that he said was all that crazy or offensive to vince. The only people who give a shit about shoots are the IWC (who love Punk and hate Cena). This is just another way that Vince is working the IWC into thinking they matter and that they're "smart". Making a "shoot" that tells them they're right.

Oh shut the fuck up. You realize that you're even worse then those 'smarks' by acting like this? That promo was amazing. It didn't matter that he was using other names and talking shit. The delivery was beautiful. Obviously it made real wrestling fans wonder if it was real or not. That's what he's there for. You're one of the assholes who watches wrestling and goes 'that was so fake'. Uh...duh? Appreciate what was one of the best endings to RAW in a LOOONG time.

Now This is a Good show. Leaving fans guessing what a great end the best in years. Safe to say I have saved punks speech on my dvr

I began watching Ring of Honor in 2005, the first match I ever saw as CM Punk in a Dog Color match and that every fucking word of it was the truth. Everything he said, whether it be scripted that he were to say it or not was the truth about the WWE, about himself, about John Cena, Vince McMahon and so on, so forth.

I can't breath. Out of everything I have seen in wrestling; you know what, FUCK wrestling, out of everything I have ever seen on a televised program that was the greatest thing I have ever seen. That will be played on YouTube one million times by next week, that is going to be fucking historic. It may be an angle, who cares? The truth was spoken, kayfabe was broken and that's all that matters.

CM Punk is the best entertainer, wrestler or whatever else you want to label him in the world.

For Ring Of Honor to be mentioned on Monday Night RAW in the last quarter, where WWE bring in most of their fans, it was a fucking privlidge. THAT was the shit!

This was not a shoot. I started thinking it was, but when he mentioned NJPW and ROH and left out their only competition TNA, I knew it was scripted.

Wait until next week. I'm waiting for a face to face with Vince, Hunter, maybe even Stone Cold. He just became their hottest commodity.

I don't care if it was a shoot or not, what really mattered was it was the truth. The way he pulled that off, I'm just in awe. CM Punk is just an amazing talent that has gotten the shaft forever in Vince's family circus and seeing him give a promo of that caliber with that much heart and soul made me wish he'd never leave. That right there is what we don't get from the rest of that rabble that call themselves wrestlers in WWE, people like Randy Orton who get given positions instead of earning them. Far as I'm concerned Punk is the best talent in wrestling.

Amazing promo, mostly in part to the fact that we'd never expect anyone to say that stuff on WWE TV. He spoke from the heart, I had goosebumps. Like i said in the RAW LD, this and Rocks return promo has gotta be the two best promos of the damn decade. It's something we'll never forget. That being said, he's never coming back. Ever. Even if he wanted to, WWE would never take him back. Still a damn good way to go out, with a bang.

A couple of things jump out at me about this.

1. People love it when other people thumb their nose at authority. It's the whole "I wish I had said that" attitude issue. While it sounds good on a wrestling show, in reality it never happens unless the person doing it has another job to fall back on when the current boss shows him the door via security!

2. Does anyone actually believe Punk was ever REALLY leaving the WWE? Had he been leaving, it would have been kept quiet so as not to arouse suspicion/speculation as to how his impending departure would be handled.

As was mentioned several days ago, Punk will be taking some time off after the PPV so odds are he loses to Cena, does the mock "I'm outta here" thing, takes off 6 months to a year, then makes his triumphant return at Wrestlemania to do a run-in on the Rock/Cena main event.

What a great promo!

Punk is the man, obviously it was worked but it felt real and thats all I ask for. I do believe that it was ran by Vince first but the only time my jaw dropped was the mention of ROH on WWE TV. Im suprised TNA wasn't mentioned because TNA sure as hell mentions WWE on their program.

Even though it wasnt a legit shoot Im thinking Punk added things in there like the s/o to Colt Cabana! Great TV though.

I joined just to post in this thread, but that was undeniably the best Raw ending since the Nexus takeover last year. What really drew me in was the mention of Paul Heyman and taking the belt back to Ring of Honor. I never would have ever thought about Punk ever mentioning Paul Heyman, much less ROH on WWE.. Hopefully Punk will keep this momentum and energy up for the next few weeks at least if he is truly leaving.

you mean mentioning a guy that's been on and off WWE programming, a guy who everyone knows hates Vince? Or mentioning a promotion they've mentioned and plugged before (Matt hardy). Or mentioning Cabana (who's been in WWE before)? Or saying bad things about Vince (which everyone does)? Or bashing Hogan (who everyone knows is an ass kisser)?

What exactly about his promo, other than reaching into your little IWC panties made you think "wow this is a shoot"?

Very, very well done by Punk there. It seems like they're definitely cultivating the target atmosphere at Chicago - the classic, epic crowd of smarks vs kiddies. Vince, unlike certain others, doesn't doubt the importance and the presence of those who want to cheer for a badass, rebel heel, and he's clearly cultivating that. This worked shoot and the next couple of weeks promise to make even those fans with only a marginal Internet presence hotter than ever when Punk enters Chicago. Goodness knows the Attitude Era holdovers, the 20+ males, and the IWC "10 percenters" love some CM Punk, and we'll love him even more now that he just executed near flawlessly a worked shoot, perhaps our favorite type of promo, on one of the wrestlers least favored by the group, in Cena. Long story short - this is a direct appeal to the crowd that hates Cena, to get them into the Allstate Arena and get them there hot. And it was an appeal well done - it was a fantastically executed promo that, as a fan, gave me goosebumps. I loved it and congratulate Punk on a job well done. He's definitely getting the hard sell on for Money in the Bank.

Wow, for fuck sake, that was the most awesome thing I have ever seen. The PG Era has found it's REAL star, and it's CM Punk.

I don't care if CM Punk is fired, fuck WWE, that was awesome.

This was a great promo. It reminds me of Joey Styles a few years ago 'quiting' WWE and completely bashing the company (which everyone seems to be forgetting!!)

As for best ending, I still think that belongs to Nexus last year. No one saw that coming. CM Punk bashing the past, present and future of the WWE was coming. However the delivery was excellent.

I also enjoyed how he talked crap about the people who were cheering for him. Classic heel move.

Ok im hearing from twitter that after the show ended michael cole announced cm punk was suspended indefinetly. I have no idea if this is true or not but this was a damn great ending to a terrible raw.

2589 people viewing this thread O_O lol.

But anyways, I was laughing throughout his whole promo. I can't believe Vince passed this, or maybe CM Punk went a little too far with it and Vince is mad at the moment.

Either way, it was still frickin' awesome.

On USA television he said how much USA TV shows sucked. LOL really great.

Awesome cliff hanger and I think Vince now has to get involved in the angle.

RAW opens up next week with CM Punk and Cena and McMahon in the same ring. Epic.

If he would of said the letters T.N.A. it would of been off the chain.

He could of said "Or I could go to T.N.A. where wrestling matters... Yeah that's complete BS.We all know wrestling doesn't matter to them."

Could of been a awesome rib at the company.

This was possibly the single greatest promo ever cut in the history of pro wrestling , so awesome

The fact he said NJPW & ROH but not TNA is the only thing that suggests to me that it might have actually been a work , cause WWE hates to acknowledge TNAs existance.

You all say whatever you want , but I'm having a hard time beleiving that was a work. As you notice they only cut it off as soon as he said "Let me tell you a personal story about Vince McMahon" and everything he said seemed so real , so legitimatley heartfelt.... he even called the titles imaginary brass rings .... just no way man... I know you guys think 100% of everything is always a work but he is on the way out the door and has nothing to lose anymore anyway... I personally just think that was real I really do

If it was a work then thats just a huge testament to how fucking good CM Punk REALLY is at the mic skills , if he could come off so real while doing a work

This according to CM Punk's twitter 3 hours ago...

I'm in full, "what are they going to do, fire me?" mode.

Set up? More than likely, but it makes you wonder sometimes especially in the wrestling business.

i personally think it wasnt a promo , he didnt really mention his match with cena other then he's leaving with the title. when he mentioned a story about vince , thats when they killed the mic and cut the cameras , it was real and cm punk has nothing to lose so why not go out with a bang? if he really leaves i wont be watching RAW anymore because in all truth , without punk raw will be ECW in the chistian era.

It wasnt' a shoot IMO, however I don't know if ol' Bonnie will like what Punk said about USA's crappy shows...If it was a shoot, that mic would have been shut off in like 15 seconds.

WOW this must be many people's first times watching wrestling and seeing a good promo.

1. This is not BEST PROMO EVARZ!!!!! You just haven't seen a good one in so long that this blew your mind. It was great no doubt, but not best ever.

2. This is not a legit off the cuff shoot, he wouldn't have gotten it on the air, and he would be receiving his walking papers right about now.

3. Its called a worked shoot, we used to get them all the time back in the day when wrestling was entertaining and the talent was allowed to have some say in their promos and story lines.

4. They are playing up to the message board and internet crowd because they aren't stupid. They know Punk has a fan base and this is how you reach them.

5. Before it happens, he will either not be on the show next week to give the illusion of a suspension or firing. He will be back either the next week, or maybe they keep him off till the PPV. WWE will release a statement about a suspension to make it look legit.

It's all an angle settle down please.

It obviously wasn't a legit shoot. If it was a legit shoot, he A. would have mentioned TNA, B. wouldn't have targeted people cheering him in the manner he did, C. they would have cut his mic a long time before they did, D. they probably would have cut the feed entirely. That was probably the best worked shoot I have ever seen though, and arguably among the top promos of all time. Wow.
