Cena vs Orton vs Batista

These guys are the biggest stars from the 02/03 class. 13 combined world title reigns since they entered the scene. According to my calculations, for 29 of the last 48 months, at least one of them have been a world champion. They have all done their own thing seperately, but a triple threat has never been done between the three. They are the 3 biggest stars made in the 21st century who are still with the WWE. And now, they're all on the same show. It's a match that could very well end up headlining Wrestlemania 26

So here's the question. Will it happen?

I think if the WWE doesn't have it in their plans sometime down the line, they're definately missing out on a huge money match. Orton/Cena, Orton/Batista and Cena/Batista are all big enough to headline any PPV. So a triple threat between the 3 for the WWE title would be huge, and a definate contenter to headline Wrestlemania 26 if Triple H doesn't mind stepping down for one Wrestlemania main even, and since Batista will probably be retiring in a couple of years, they should do it soon.

The build up would be epic if done properly. It could be done over 3 months. Each wrestler would bring their own elements to the build up. Orton with his mind games, Batista trying to take out both men with his power and Cena being the underdog who people will doubt if he can manage to beat 2 of the hardest-to-beat wrestlers by himself.
There'd be twists and turns. Cena and Batista teaming up then self destructing. Orton getting inside Cena and Batista's heads to try make them destroy each other before Mania. Matches to remove one of them from the main event, and matches to get themselves back into it. And the 3 way promos...
Seriously, with these 3 guys it would have sooo much potential. I'm hoping the WWE is smart enough to make it happen.

Reading that i can tell if it did happen the build up would me alot more exciting than the match itself like orton/triple h mania XXV. To be honest the only way i see triple h not being in the main event is if hes injured of having a fued with someone from smackdown cause as well all know trips loves the main event spot..hes had it for what like 7 wrestlemanias and id say 8 if he hadnt have been on the shelf for 23

The thing that looks best for this match is i really dont think id enjoy it as much if it was singles cause its all been overdone but a triple threat would be very good in my opinion if as you said its done properly

I don't know why Cena is portrayed as an underdog. He loves to make it seem like he has no chance but he perseveres for the people. Lame. So lame. He talks like such a tool on the mic, it's so annoying. But then he can beat Big Show and Edge and Big Show again. And he will beat Big Show AGAIN at Extreme Rules. He's so bad I can't even take it anymore!!

If they have Cena vs. Orton vs. Batista of course Cena is gonna win, by giving the attitude adjustment to everyone at the same time in the entire arena!!

Personally, I have no interest in this match at all!

A lot of people would love this match...and it would probably be a money match....BUT IT FEELS OLD!!!!

With all the tag matches, handicapped matches, etc. this match just doesn't excite me!!! To be honest, at this point, NO WORLD TITLE MATCH WITH CENA or BATISTA EXCITES ME!!!!! THEY ALWAYS FIGHT FOR THE TITLE!!!!...like HHH!!!!

This is why ratings are down...or at least one of the reasons!

At this point in time, I want to see:
*Chris Jericho
*The Miz
*Rey Mysterio
*CM Punk
*Umaga
*Santino Marella

BECAUSE.......they bring a freshness to the WWE product!!!

I would have had it at Wrestlemania 24 but otherwise I believe it will be great for Wrestlemania 26 if they don't do Cena/Batista II. All three came in around the same time and have had great success in the WWE. It would be something that creative can build a storyline around and the anticipation up to it would be awesome.

It sounds good. But let's honestly look at the match.

The bell rings, and Orton slides out of the ring. Batista/Cena tie up, start beating each other. Orton comes in, gets chased out by Cena. Batista/Cena keep doing what they're doing. Batista nails a Batista Bomb, goes for the pin, Orton swoops in and punts him. Cena staggers up, gets an RKO, and Orton pins either Batista or Cena for the win.

Why do I know what will happen? He's basically done the same thing for every 3-way he's ever been in. Slide away, swoop in once, slide away, swoop in again. Maybe a dropkick will change it up.

Sure, it'll make money. Sure, the build could be fantastic. But the match will basically be Cena vs. Batista (II or III, can't remember), with Orton screwing shit up. It'll be even more so if Batista goes through his fabled heel turn. Bah.

This match would be awesome sauce! The match would be vigorous, hard-fought, and leave a lot of broken bodies. John Cena manages to win despite being the underdog he is even though he always wins, and he finally has his moment with the title and the fans at Wrestlemania. *pewwwwwwwwww dun!* Cashing in Money Punk comes down and puts Cena to sleep and we have a new champion until Backlash where drops the title to HHH to give him his 37th title reign, although adding up the days is less than half the days Flair had it.

Okay im not a Triple H fan at all! but i will say this...i LOVE the triple threat idea, that would be a main event that could be hyped in such a way, 90% of the buys would be from that match alone i think, but think about this too...

Sinc Triple H can't let someone else get the spotlight at Mania, he would obviously be thrown in the mix, so if he turned heel, then this match would be epic, think about this

cena and batista, good team, triple h and randy orton, back to evolution days, destroying cena and batista and then they clash at mania in a fatal four way match

It'll happen. But it's hardly up there with with what was supposed to be the main event of SurvivorSeries 1999.

To me, this seems like a nothing match and it really shouldn't. You've got the biggest heel in the company, the biggest face and the inexplicably popular Batista. Should be a huge match. But it's happened in so many various forms over the years that it's nothing more than the main event fora ''B'' show.

How many title matches can you lose before they pull the plug. How about Jericho getting a run? He's stuck in a feud with Rey. How does beating him set you up for anything major? Y2J should destroy him and trash the IC belt. After that, go after a real champion. Orton deserves a title run that doesn't get cut off by HHH. Fuck Cena!

Tell ya the truth I would hate this match. About a couple of months a go when Cena started getting the WHC he got boring. One of these guys would have the title and either:
A) Cena already has the title and retains or
B) he wins title
either way boring
I like Randy Orton and there needs to be new contenders like Hardy or Edge. Batista won't win because Orton will get himself DQ and Cena would win so it would be boring I would really only give the match a 3 or 3.5 if the title wasn't involved then maybe a 4
But did it come to anyone that one might be out for wrestlemania 26? Batista was just out of 25 and cena has had his fair share of injuries. One of these guys would probably get injured just before. anyone agree?

The point is the 3 biggest wrestlers of this generation going at it for a world title. It would be like seeing Triple H vs Austin vs Rock in 2000. Although, as Jake said, it's probably not on the same level as that.
But the match is packed with star power. It's the kinda match that would define the 2005-2010 era. Not because of the match itself, but because it's the 3 biggest names from that area.

Oh and also, as much as I love Jericho, he simply isn't big enough to replace any of the 3 men in this hypothetical match.

You are absolutley right. It was ignorant. I just cannot see Batista at the same level as Austin or Rock. As for Cena, I think he is a great ambassador for the business. He just comes off as a pg 0r g version knockoff of The Rock. I would rather see Edge in that match, although thats not going to happen

No, that match wouldn't work what so ever, mainly because Batista hasn't feuded with Cena properly, allow them to feud then maybe Survivor series or so have this match, but unless Cena/Batista takes a turn on the heel side I can see this match being rather dull.

I didn't care for Mania24 (Orton/Cena/HHH) and I think this match would go that route with a quick ending rather then a build up.

on a side note, something of that magnitude of a match should only happen at a top 4 PPV.

Batista and John Cena are probably the 2 most boring wrestlers in the wwe today, Batista has power when he wrestles and thats about it, John has his 5 famous moves, shoulder block, his suplex thing, five knuckle shuffle the fu and then finishes with the stf(u), every single match we see with John boom thats what we get. Randy is one of the most talented guys on the wwe roster, he is the only reason why i would want to see a match like that, Randy needs a true title run and a couple great matches that they put him over in that he wins dirty and not clean, he is a heel, look at Edge, always winnig with interfernce.
