No, they're not. There was actually a storyline surrounding them joining up with Coulter and becoming a team through him. They're not just two guys who have nothing to do with each other (like Henry and Big E or Show and Mysterio) that get paired together for no reason.

And the fact that they're "internet darlings" has nothing to do with it. I don't really care for them individually, I just like a good tag team that works together in the ring, and they do.
