Your iPod Artist List?

not really, Priest and Maiden weren't even the first of their genre... those honors go to bands like Sabbath and Queen... whom I have both of

This is like saying that Metallica is the be all end all of thrash metal

Which they are not. I prefer Slayer's brand of speed/thrash.

Also, I'd say that Blue Cheer is amongst the better early heavy metal bands.

Their current singer is pretty good. I got the chance to see them at the Maine Death Fest, and was actually taken aback by the new line-up. They tore that festival to shreds, especially when they started playing "Pure Fucking Armegeddon". Though, Dead was more believable, what with his passion for pulling of the deceased look. Too bad he killed himself. But you gotta love the fact that his suicide note read:

Forgive me for the mess, the knife was too dull.

LOL with Euronymous taking photos of his corpse and making a necklace out of his skull

Im actually going to be clearing out my iPod soon, listening to it right the way through to decide what is going to stay on and what is going to be left off. All I know is that I am going to have this song on there because it is a fun song for driving.

Good luck... I did this 2 years ago. I went from 10,000 songs down to 450. No bullshit. However, I was being a music ****e & getting every song off every friend I knew with a lot of duplicates of songs.

My iPod is only 4Gb so it doesn't take to much effort to clear it off and fix it up. I have over 70Gb of music if I am guessing at the extreme low end of the scale, probably far to low.

I tell you what sucks though, getting the correct album, artist, genre, composer, album art... etc for 450 songs. Took me two days. It was worth it

I gave up and it is all on an External HDD. Too much hassle because CD artwork and all that is annoying to deal with as well as I hate iTunes as a program.

I don't bother with composers and stuff, I just do album art, artist, song title, and album. I'm anal that way. Yesterday I spent hours putting genres for each song. But now that I've done it, I don't have to do it again later, and when I put new songs on the iPod I just have to edit the new songs. Easy.

I've been too lazy to pick them up

Besides there are different types of metal, and I own stuff by a majority of the important artists in those categories so you can't fault me completely.

At least I don't own anything by Bring me the Horizon or Fall Out Boy

I agree that Bring Me the Horizon is terrible, but I am still a Fall Out Boy fanboy. I might list my iPod playlist later, but now is not the time.

Fall Out Boy...simply ghastly. When the zombie revolution comes, they shall be our first victims.

God, after looking over this list, I have to have the oddest taste in music out of anyone who's ever existed. Hopefully X doesn't hate me after reading it.

Nah it's cool, you have The Byrds and The Smiths, so you're cool.

I'll get my list up when someone teaches me the spoiler thing.

For the record I LOVE Brand New

This is the spoiler code:

[Spoiler=Spoiler Title]Insert Spoilers Here[/spoiler]

There are so many better songs by them than that, The Byrds are one of the best 60s groups ever. I discovered them when I first saw Easy Rider when I was 12. Loved 'em ever since.

Not a fan of Porter, Jones is good but like I said I don't have everything on my iPod yet, and Kenny Rogers...well I'm afraid I'd simply be embarrassed to find myself listening to Kenny fucking Rogers. The only song of his I've been able to listen to and not feel like a giant douche is "Love Will Turn You Around" which is actually quite a good song.

Fuck you! Kenny owns all!
