The Living End?!!! I fuckin' love those guys, and I forgot to listen to them.

I wish I had a bigger iPod and it was closer to me rather than in my car. Good to see Mastodon being put in there.

Remission, leviathan, Blood Mountain, Crack the Skye or all of them or variations on combos?

And No Maiden Ech?

I could listen to the ATHF Mastodon song for the rest of my life. It's fucking brilliant and hilarious simultaneously.

Maiden is one of those bands that I should have but I don't. The main problem I have is that some bands end up getting lost in the shuffle. Right now I have about 20 different artists that I listen to constantly, the rest I listen to moderately or sparingly to rarely at all. Honestly I'm not sure how often I would listen to Maiden if I were to put the stuff on my IPod... same with Priest, Iced Earth, and Dream Theater.

As far as Mastodon goes, I highly recommend that you buy Leviathan in its entirety... not one bad song on the album. Blood Mountain is a good album as well but in my opinion it comes up just short of the level of Leviathan. I haven't listened to the other two albums yet.

May I recommend finding a compilation album? Like The Essential: Iron Maiden or something of the like. I got the Essential one & it was the best 25 dollars ever spent... then again the Ozzy & Heart Essential collection disks... oh & the MJ one...

Damn, I love The Essential: collection.

The question is how often would I listen to them? I may just get a few of their songs... a sample... and leave it at that.

These are the 3 most played song on my I Pod by far... I listen to them all the time, everyday, at work in the car before I go to bed... they're just plain addicting

Here is a good starting list for great Maiden songs:

Number Of The Beast
Aces High
The Trooper
Fear Of The Dark
Hallowed By Thy Name
Run To The Hills
Wrathchild

If you like the Phantom Of The Opera, get their version of the song. It's great.

But from the video's posted... whoa?

The Trooper is the song I'd like playing on repeat if I were to ever have to fend off Russian invaders Red Dawn style. I'd put that on repeat on my iPod, load up my buddie's Mosberg and battle would commence.

How could you not mention The Wicker Man?! Or my personal favorite, Flash of the Blade. And what about The Nomad? Die With Your Boots On?

I said a good starting list... not their whole goddamn discography x. If I were to recommend Iron Maiden to anybody, I'd say to get any song by Iron Maiden. However, I like your taste of songs.

I've heard most of those songs before, Maiden is on my list... next time I go on an I tunes shopping spree I'll probably pick up some of their stuff. Other prospects include Priest, Wintersun, and Kampfar

You call yourself a metalhead and you don't own any Iron Maiden or Judas Priest? :disappointed:

I've been too lazy to pick them up

Besides there are different types of metal, and I own stuff by a majority of the important artists in those categories so you can't fault me completely.

At least I don't own anything by Bring me the Horizon or Fall Out Boy

I love dance/techno/trance, but I cannot stand Cascada. She get's on my nerves. I'd rather listen to Aqua.

not really, Priest and Maiden weren't even the first of their genre... those honors go to bands like Sabbath and Queen... whom I have both of

This is like saying that Metallica is the be all end all of thrash metal
