First and foremost I'm not a fan of the Beatles, nor am I a fan of rhythm/music games like Rock Band or Guitar Hero so that's a moot point. Second of all, the main reason I'm taking a vow not to buy any games for awhile is because I have far too many games I have yet to finish or barely scratch the surface of. So with Madden taking up a good amount of time, I want to clear out my inventory if you will of games I have not finished so at least I feel I accomplished something.

Yeah I'm really surprised how shit the servers are to be honest. I mean they only had a year to get prepared for the massive amount of people jumping online to play, one would think they would invest a very solid amount of time and money into producing capable and stable servers to handle the workload.

Well I lost. Scored more than I thought I would though, I just can't seem to pass long though. Short screens and mid routes maybe, but when it comes to getting it to my receivers I just can't do it. Thats why Fred Taylor is my hero.

Question for Will: My friend is going to try and buy Madden tomorrow. If he does end up buying it, would it be possible for him to join this league? I understand if you don't want to allow late joiners, but I thought I would ask anyway.

If you lost him in your Week 2 match-up, then your game didn't fully save. Which means you need to redo it and play it all over again.
Okay... ....
Two things here.
1. Are you definite he quit? (Meaning, did it pop up and say he asked to quit/has quit.. or did it say you lost your connection?)
2. I want Love Song Writer to explain his side of this story, before "I" make any type of decision.
For the most part.. I don't believe I'll kick LSW out of the league, as this could've been two things.
1. Accidental.
2. Frustration and knowing he's already lost - as to just quit and not know he shouldn't have.
From here on out, if ANYONE quits a game no matter how terrible you're being beaten.. you'll likely receive 1 warning, and then its highly likely you're going to be kicked out of the League if it happens more than once. I'm trying my hardest to be nice and accepting to everyone, however as MK said.. Its just a game.
If someone owned me 56-0, I'd hate every moment - but take it and try to bounce back in my next game. If I lost every game, it'd suck and be horrible.. but in the end, I'm in this to play people who love the game.. winning is great, and sure thats why we're here.. but just having fun is the bigger reason.
The more the merrier. As long as your friend can A.) Be online when needed to be. As well as be responsible to play his games. B.) Respect others and not get upset, or quit on people just because he's losing. And C.) Not make crazy trades/FA pick-ups that are considered 'cheating'.. then I'm perfectly fine with him joining.
This rule goes for anyone else, who may have a friend/family member looking to join. As long as they can follow the same rules the rest of us are asked to follow.. anyone can join now.

I think you are my favorite Madden player right now. Not meaning this as a joke, or anything. Its because to me, you're very "real". You admit to not being great, and you take losses like a man. It shows me you basically love to play, regardless what happens.
On this note.. I won my Week 2 game.. but at a stiff price.
Jake Delhomme (my starting QB) is out 2+ weeks with Broken Ribs. And both of my top RB's (D. Williams & J. Stewart) had to leave the game against the Falcons, due to respective injuries. Williams had a knee sprain in the 2nd Quarter, and Stewart had an injury I've forgotten in the 3rd.
I had to use my 3rd string RB for the majority of the 3rd Quarter throughout. And I had to use my 2nd string (crappy) back-up QB, from like the 2nd Quarter-throughout.
Luckily.. Steve Smith is apparently unstoppable.

If this is the case, I still want him (Love Song Writer) to tell me (through a PM, or here in the thread to explain publicly) why he quit.
Also, this is something I'm curious of.. because when Ty & I have lost connection multiple times, it tells us and ends the game without the ability to continue.. however, they were games that didn't count, so there wasn't any real reason to continue ANYWAYS. Since these count, I'm curious if it'll drop 1 person and tell the other they can continue.
I have a human v. human match-up in Week 3, so we'll see how that goes since I've had issues playing others and being dropped from the games. (usually around the 3rd Quarter it seems)

Ugh my game against the Lions was not a walk in the park. They're a lot better than you would think they are. Stafford fucking killed me in the passing game, 360 yards total. What made it more difficult was when Favre got knocked out of the game in the 1st quarter with a broken jaw, luckily for me he'll be back next week. What saved my ass was Percy Harvin had 2 Kickoff returns for touchdowns, and Peterson had 195 yards rushing. I ended up winning 48-38.

I just lost to the Rams after NUMEROUS bullshit turnovers. I had like 4 Interceptions and a Fumble, all thanks to my new "QB". ~_~ I was about to win it with 10 seconds left and they get a teleportation interception and run it back for a touchdown.
