WWE RAW LD 7/18/2011 - The Day After The Night Before

I'm sure Vince is going to be as involved as ever, but form always follows function. The WWE might look the same on the inside, but don't be surprised if we get the illusion of a new WWE on television for the next month or so.

Intrigue to be sure, and aye, a bit more of a changing of the guard, but hardly the huge deal everyone is making it out to be. No, he didnt actually get fucking fired from the WWE on live television by Triple H just now, guys :lmao:

this, right here. its about the extent of what I am expecting out of this.

The "new look" (and I agree, Vince is going to be as knee-deep as ever) is certainly worthy of markdom because we're not reverting back to business as usual. The intrigue is still there, something that has been lacking for ages. This isn't paint by numbers booking. It'll be years before Triple H gets the wheel full stop. But this is no small thing. And the fact that something is changing at all in kayfabe land shows that someone knows he might have gotten a little out of touch.

That is true, Whether Triple H is just taking over on-screen, or in real life, the former which is the more likely choice, What we see on our tv screen in terms of pushes, gimmicks, storylines, angles, etc, will change.

Does anyone else kinda dig this lawyer show that comes on after RAW?

Gets the royal pains rub from RAW for me :lmao:

I watched it for about 5 minutes, but I liked what I saw. Royal Pains rules all post-wrestling shows, though, mostly because of the hot Indian Chick and the hilarious brother.

The thing that gets me about all USA shows is that they're a formula show with a twist. In this case it's a hot-shot lawyer show, but the lawyer didn't actually go to law school!

Can I hope that somehow Steve Austin gets the blame for all of this in Kayfabe which leads to Austin Punk somehow?

Punk said Austin put in motion this entire thing a month ago, and now it's snowballed into this. One can dream.

lulz, mark-a-mania runnin wild.

Guys, Vince is still just as much a part of WWE as ever. They are just writing the Mr.Mcmahon character off of tv and giving the show an authority figure. A new look, sure, but not some giant new passing of the torch direction of WWE in the actual, bigger picture.

Thing is though, I honestly think there's more to it than that. Think about it, Vince is almost 66 and has been running shows since 1971. I think he's actually stepping down from that side of the buisness now. Maybe he's feeling his age. Maybe he's just tired of travelling 4 days a week and wants to sleep in his own bed now. But I think he's being written off because he's not going to be there any more and Hunter's taken over that part of the buisness. All I know is that there's more to this than meets the eye.

Ive read way too many things about Vince Mcmahon in various peoples books to ever believe this is anything but writing the Mr.mcmahon character off of tv.

Vince will die in a creative meeting after an 70 hour work week. I will be told no different.

Vince isn't going anywhere. Mr. McMahon is probably done. HD TV is doing Vinnie Mac no favors. HHH is simply too good of a choice at this point to take over. There's literally nothing the Mr. McMahon character has left to offer.

Oh I don't doubt he's still going to work with the company, and do near damn everything that he can but he can do that without spending most of his week in different states. Hell, Steph runs creative from her office for maternal reasons. If nothing else, it would be good for his health.

I was hoping HHH would announce himself as the anonymous GM also. I still believe they have no idea how to tie that angle up.

Shane is the only person who it could be revealed as and I wouldn't be disappointed. I like Shane, I like the ideas he's had int he past, and I think I'd rather have him and Haitch running the ship then little Steph and Vinnie. Those two seem to produce a whole lot of shit by themselves. I'd mark for Shane.

I hate this whole anonymous RAW GM thing though, so very much.

I think that the perfect GM would be Ric Flair... But if they made it Shane I would be happy too.

BN Dudley I don't want Joey Styles too -.-
