Last year when they made the match for the US title on the night at the Rumble, that was my first thought, Miz to win it.

I do agree, this shall be a good rumble. I just hope that the creative doesn't F things up with Nexus/Punk/and Barrett somehow. This can either go REALLY good or REALLY bad. there's no gray area about it.

To be Honest WWE need something big to excite the fans and John Morrison Winning the title will do just that plus and what a way to kick off the first show of the year and the hole nexus and cena story line will make all that exciting

As much as I would love to see Morrison win tonight, it shouldn't happen. His feud with Miz has barely started and it would be pretty anti-climatic if he goes and beats Miz just like that.
If Morrison is going to be the one to take the belt off of Miz (which I doubt, honestly), then it needs to be the culmination of a longer, personal feud. Especially considering the amount of history these two have.
Still, I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't mark the fuck out if JoMo got the win tonight.
