WWE Elimination Chamber 2012 - On the Road Again...

Would you give Santino the strap? I mean, he's over, but is he credible enough to carry one of the main straps in the company? He could run with a mid-card title or something, but not the World Heavyweight Championship, unless it's a Kane-like run of a day.

It's not difficult to establish credibility when they guy actually has the in-ring talent to pull it off. It was the perfect setup tonight, an against the odds win over a champion that is believably beatable. When he hit the cobra, people actually believed and it would have been an awesome moment because the crowd wanted it. Booking from then on is easy, you put him up against an impossibly opponent, got him the old montage training buildup and make him credible and a fairytale winner. Sometimes giving the people what they want is the right thing to do, the WWE simply don't have the balls to do it though.

I could buy giving Santino the title for a quick month long reign, but not for WrestleMania. I could get behind him winning the title later in the year and then promptly dropping it to put over some heel or another (Rhodes, Barrett), maybe have a little Mankind/Rock thing going on.

And as a huge Mick Foley fan, I'm prepared to admit that he was a shit champion. It's neat to see them win; it isn't good for much else after that.

Plus, we're not actually comparing Santino Marella to Mick Foley, now are we?

There's nothing wrong with letting the underdog have his moment and then drop the title rapidly. It's better than never paying off on the run to the top.

I always wondered what the driver is doing while waiting for 2 men to beat the hell out of each other to end the match.

You're right, Jerry, the sole determining factor in how much I like a person should be how much they can lift.

Jerry's going to expect you all to love Big E Langstone. He's "the strongest man in all of Florida" or he was, and then they started billing him as the much less goofy sounding "The National Powerlifting Champion". Also, he's shit.
