he had a short career? Didn't he wrestle for 7 or 8 years in wwe. isn't that as long as Stone Cold and the Rock were in WWE? the only thing that he sucked at was on the mic, which he got a bit better at in the end. but in the ring he was a monster and demolished everyone. batista vs lesnar would have been awesome.
You posted that Edge is a Hall of Famer, then why shouldn't he be inducted? If he's a Hall of Famer now, he will be a Hall of Famer in five years. There's no reason to wait. It would be massively different if he was still wrestling or even still capable of wrestling another match but Edge is done for. He isn't coming back for some one last send off match or anything; he will never be medically cleared again. If he's a Hall of Famer now, he will be in five year's time. Theres no need to wait.I've been thinking - should the WWE institute a waiting period before someone can be considered for the Hall of Fame? I look at Edge as the most recent example here. He is being inducted almost immediately after his retirement mid-last year. I'm not suggesting that Edge is not a Hall of Famer, but a lot of times we as people let the initial wave of emotion and fandom get in the way of someones true accomplishments.
I think the NFL is doing it the right way. There is a 5-year wait before that person is considered eligible for HOF status. Any thoughts, or am I just giving too much credence to this since the WWE HOF is, in many peoples eyes, meaningless.
I don't think he will be inducted this year. Edge is this year's HOF leader and Taker should have one of his own.Could Undertaker Be Heading Into The HOF This Year?
