Edge imo shouldn't be inducted this year. I understand he has been a major star for the WWE/F but the HOF should be for true legends. Superstars who should have to come back after years to be acknowledged for their achievement.
Randy Savage is a must be, a definate. The Rock and Yokozuna too, they deserve the HOF status more than Edge.

I don't understand the 'too early' argument that people are using for Edge. He surely deserves to be in the HoF and they are inducting him. Why does it matter when they are inducting him? There may be guys more deserving than him to be in the HoF (Bruno Sammartino, Randy Savage), but they have not been inducted because of issues with the company and Vince McMahon.

Me, either. He's retired, he's not returning to the ring (unless he has a death wish) and he has the bona fides to be a HOFer. Why not do it now?

It's rare we get to see a performer who retires so young.....and yet had cemented his imminent induction long before he retired. Is there anyone who thought this guy wasn't going to make it someday? This is a unique situation and should be handled accordingly. Put him in there.

The active careers of just about everyone else in the Hall of Fame pre-dates most of our young fan base, so the younger fans probably could care less who those old guys were anyway. Now, we have a candidate the newer folks can get behind because they remember him.

Go, Adam.

Short career + Big time push + multiple title reigns = Hall of Fame?

He was very impactful is his very short career and won both the wwe and WHC titles. Wins over legends/Greats like HHH, Jericho, Punk, Taker, Orton, Booker, Edge, and countless others.

Is he a future hall of famer?

I think he will become a hall of famer. He carried Smackdown during 2005-2006 and stayed in the main event from 2005-2010 winning lots of titles and having lots of memorable feuds. He is actually a better wrestler than what people make him out to be. Just because he is a monster with oranges under his skin to disguise as muscles doesn't mean he is a bad wrestler. He has put on a lot of good matches and John Cena and Batista feud was actually quite enjoyable if you ask me.

So yes I think he should be in the hall of fame. He isn't as storied as most of the other guys in there but if his career was longer it would of been.

Koko B. Ware is a Hall of Famer.

That's all I say.

This spam post is actually right. Batista made such a huge impact during his time in the WWE. While the internet fans certainly don't like him, he does deserve to be in the Hall of Fame down the line a bit. It's not too often that a six-time World Heavyweight Champion doesn't deserve an induction in the Hall of Fame; why is Batista any different? Far less deserving guys are in.

He might get in but not anytime soon... he might be the sort of midcard hall of famer on some future broadcast... perhaps the Hacksaw jim duggan entrant, to HBK's main event entrance.... essentially if he doesnt compete again he won't be the "star" attraction, but he could be one of the additional filler material

With out a doubt he will be in the hall of fame he doesn't deserve it at all and was never really that great in the ring but in WWE you don't have to be the best to achieve great things

I like that quote too when ever I read these who do you think should be in the the hall of fame thread that's always my first thought Koko B Ware is in the Hall of Fame but thats not as bad as Bob Ueker The Fridgerator Pete Rose and Drew Carrey are hall of famers with that being said Nailz Fred Durst and The Brooklyn Brawler also should be inducted in the same WWE Hall of Fame class with Batista also throw Bono in there just to give him another award

He will be a Hall of Famer based on one fact and one fact only. The WWE Hall of Fame is one that is easy to get into it seems. If you were dominant for even a short period of time, your in. If you had a gimmick (Koko B Ware) you are in. If you show up twice (Drew Carey) you are in.

This thread is really unnecessary. I mean come on its obvious he is a hall of famer. A better thread would have been if Brock Lesnar is a hall of famer given the way he left and he only wrestled for the WWE from 2002-2004.

Agreed that this thread is unnecessary...Batista is a no brainer Hall of Famer. It would be debatable if the WWEHOF was legitimate, but as it is, he's clearly deserving of going in at some point. Perhaps even as a headliner if there's a down year without a clear cut headliner.

And Brock Lesnar is clearly deserving too, if you disregard any possible bad blood over the way he left(which shouldn't be factored in). But he can't go in until it's clear he's not going to wrestle again, which isn't the case as of now.

KoKo B. Ware is a Hall of famer so gee I wonder if a multi time world and WWE champion, Royal Rumble Winner and Wrestlemania headliner will end up in the hall of fame? Yeah, pretty sure he will. I pick on Christian a lot, but he is a more likely example of a former world champion who may not go into the hall of fame due to his unimpressive reigns and overall forgettability outside of the internet community. Lesnar on the other hand is probably a lock because the WWE can play off the fact that he's the only person ever to hold the UFC and WWE championships. Which is actually a pretty impressive accomplishment if we mix kayfabe and reality which is pretty much what pro wrestling is.

I'm 99% positive he will get in. The IWC doesn't like him very well and there are legit reasons for that dislike but he deserves it for the most part

He has had some harsh words for the company and the wrestling business since he left but I don't think that will affect it. If Vince can squash his beef with Bret down to the manageable level he did then that won't bother him.

Overall though the WWE HOF is a bit of a joke

The Hall of fame is a joke guys. I thought we already established that. So many nobodies are in it. Batista more than deserves to be in it. He's a 6 time world champion (correct me if I'm wrong), royal rumble winner, tag team champion, and has been in multiple Mania main events. I don't see how that doesn't warrant a Hall of Fame spot. He accomplished more in his 8+ years than most guys do in their entire careers.

To a few, this thread may be unnecessary, but to the person who started it, it was. Personally, I'm more interested in hearing about Batista in the HoF then about Lesnar. If the guy had not retired from UFC, not as many of you would be talking about Lesnar returning to WWE.

As much as i liked Batista, i think he needs to return and have a few more years of success before he is even qualified to enter. He did great for a few years, yes, but i get the impression he just doesnt care about wrestling.

If you don't care, you do not really deserve HoF.

I agree

Batista should get inducted down the line sometime. I've never understood why people rip Batista for his ring work, He's VERY agile for a man his size. Quick and dosent slop in the ring, the man pulled his own weight. His fueds with Edge & The Undertaker was some of best work.

Mutiple time world champion who deserves the hall of fame, If Drew Fuckin Carey can get in. Why not Batista?

So according to TMZ Iron Mike is on his way to the Hall of Fame.

Personally I love this decision as he probably did more for the WWE than any other celebrity I can think of by bringing a lot of new faces to the WWE at a time when they really needed it. He certainly played a part in Steve Austin's popularity and his first title win at WM14. I thought he did a great job as a member of DX and who could forget his standoff with Austin the night after the Royal Rumble.

If you are gonna induct a celebrity into the WWE HOF no one (outside of maybe Mr. T) deserves it more than Mike Tyson.

The dude had tons of memorable moments whether anyone liked him or not. He deserves to be in the Hall of Fame eventually, maybe in about five years or so in the event that he doesn't return to the WWE. If he does, then push that back a few years after he ends up retiring.

Is he getting in? Yes
Should he be in? maybe, seen people get in that have done less in their careers.
Do I want him in? or Do I think he should be in? Not at all.

I think he will be a hall of famer for not only what he has done on SD! and with Evolution, but for what is still to come. One day, The Animal will be back in the WWE, and thats when the true Hall of Fame career starts.

he had a short career? Didn't he wrestle for 7 or 8 years in wwe. isn't that as long as Stone Cold and the Rock were in WWE? the only thing that he sucked at was on the mic, which he got a bit better at in the end. but in the ring he was a monster and demolished everyone. batista vs lesnar would have been awesome.

I would hope not since he's terrible in the ring and terrible on the mic. On top of that, he's never really done anything that stood out for me or was that original. As others have said, he didn't that that long of a career, and really, titles don't mean much anymore (I mean, Jack Swagger was a champion) especially since they get tossed around so much.

However, he will be in the HOF. Why? Because it's not an HOF, it's a whoever WWE wants to put in" hall. To Vince, HHH, and those guys, he's big, they want him to be big, they push him as big, so of course he'll get in.

If you don't care, you do not really deserve HoF.

So... if a quarterback led his team to 6 Superbowl victories but didn't really care, he wouldn't deserve HOF? Accomplishments are what gets you into the HOF, not attitude.

Batista's accomplishments absolutely warrant it. Putting aside the questionable entries, no 6 time World champion should not make the HOF cut, and on top of that, Batista holds the longest WHC reign in WWE history and is a Royal Rumble winner. Case closed.
