The only one that got in that I was interested in was the Junk Yard Dog. He was great to watch. However he drew the greatest of all time. He'll get a bite or two in but Flair will Figure Four him right outta here.

Steve Williams and Jacques Rougeau are as under rater as they come. Dr. Death has such a long, impressive career, but sadly, so many mainstream fans remember him as the guy who was Jim Ross's bodyguard in a very short lived, very stupid angle. "He made funna my face! Git'm Dr. Death!"

But Williams was as technically sound as he was strong. Not a terribly big draw, but I respect the hell out of him.

Jacques Rougeau is among the top French-Canadian wrestlers ever. Like Bobby Eaton or Brian Pillman, Rougeau was tag-team gold. The Fabulous Rougeau brothers were a classic team. Like the Rockers, they won the tag team titles from The Hart Foundation by use of a foreign object Jimmy Hart brought in the ring, but the decision was reversed and the tag title reign never recognized.

The Mountie gimmick, though goofy, was just FUN. And the use of the tazer was as clever a defining foreign object as you can have. Though his Intercontinental Title reign was about as significant as Davey Boy Smith's, he did have good, solid feuds with Bret Hart, Roddy Piper, Sgt. Slaughter, and of course, the Big Boss Man. When he and Pierre Oulette formed the Quebecers (with Johnny "Polo" Raven) it further showcased Rougeau's tag team talent in matches with the Steiners, Sean Waltman and Bob Holly, and the Headshrinkers.

Also, let's not forget, Jacques has a CLEAN PINFALL WIN over HULK HOGAN in WCW in 1997. Hogan asked that he be able to put Rougeau over. Yes, THE MOUNTIE PINNED HULK HOGAN!

Edge will beat Williams. I think Mysterio has a rougher time with Rougeau. I'll make sure of it.

IC 25 I missed Dr. Death is my assesement earlier. I honestly don't know who to choose between he and Edge. I know WWE fanatics will have a fit. He was great with Terry Gordy as a tag wrestler and just a great wrestler. I know Edge will win probably 97% but I might be in that three.

Early Prediction: I'll be the only person defending Mushiking Terry. I know he doesn't stand a chance against Dibiase. But it's a shame that I'm probably the only poster here who's heard of him. Or at least follows him.

Also The Warlord is gonna dominate Steamboat. Anybody who votes for The Dragon is just conforming to what they think they should vote for.

Y2J. Have you ever watched a match the Warlord had that laster over 10 minutes. Please tell me you were joking. I do think Warlord doesn't get enought credit. However over Steamboat. Thanks for the laugh I needed that.

Anybody who knows anything about wrestling should know of Dr. Death. He is one of the few folk-style stars who made the successful move to the pro ranks. He was solid in all areas of the game and was a joy to watch. I hate that he's up against today's most hated heel, because he's going to get knocked out, but Dr. Death in his prime would have given Edge a great match. That match would be worth the price of admission, no matter what the cost.

MP

How many more are left to be announced? About eight? I think that's so, as I thought this was a 256 man tournament.

I'm just as excited to find out who the opponents of the one and two seeds are as I was to find who the number one and two seeds. Well, not really, I'm just sort of interested who's going to be facing what's possibly the best wrestler ever, the best TNA wrestler ever, the best wrestler of the 21st century in his hometown in a six-sided ring. How can he lose?

Yeah plenty. With his mighty tag team partner The Barbarian. The Powers Of Pane were awesome. Not as good a team as Demolition. But by todays big guy standards they were brilliant. They could well be the best tag team of all time. Most tag teams only had one decent member, the Powers Of Pain have two.

I agree that the Powers of Pain were a great team. I think one of the most underrated of all time. However I was referring to singles matches when I asked the question. You are right about two good members. Take care!

Oh no. The Warlord couldn't wrestle for shit. As for singles matches I'd be lying if I said there were any good ones. But just because a wrestlers is shit it doesn't mean you can't enjoy them. I can watch him and the One Man Gang in any old crap and I'd still be entertained.

Glad we got that cleared up. I was big on the One Man Gang. I use to love to see him try to go faster than 2 miles per hour. Thanks for the nice discussion without getting ugly. It seems like on these forums if you question anyone they get ugly. Take care.

Earlier on I predicting who I thought would should make it to the third round not realizing WCW bracket was the champonship bracket. So here goes for WCW.
Bret Hart, Terry Funk,Taz,Kane,Randy Savage,Magnum TA,Owen Hart, Jushin Liger.
A couple of thoughts. The 3rd round match between Hart & Funk would be fun to watch. I hate the funker drew Hart this early. He is worthy of at least a top 32 finish. A good match that will probably see Randy Savage win 95% of the vote would be he & Antonio Inoki. I went with Savage but it would be a great match. What I think will be the biggest of no he didn't pick is Magmun TA. In order for him to make it to the third round he must beat Jeff Hardy. I do think he would. I have said this before but please watch his and Tully Blanchard mathes and/or Nikita Koloff. The hardest one for me to pick was Jushin Liger. If his first match was in ECW then he would lose. 2nd round I just picked him over Ultimate Warrior because we are suppose to look at there last match and I guarantee you Adullah made Warror bleed and it probably scared the Warrior. I think Liger is the better wrestler. I have only seen one or two or Warriors matches that were any good.

Kensuke Sasaki is like the George Mason University of this tournament. If people do enough research, he is the one capable of pulling off the "impossible upset." I am not saying I am putting him over Eddie Guererro - I haven't decided yet. But I urge everyone to read up on Sasaki before voting. The man is SO under rated it's laughable, to be featured in a foursome with Headbanger Mosh, Shark Boy, and Little f'ing Guido.

He stands no chance. The fact that you've heard of him gives him an extra vote. I predict 3. Me, you & possibly Shadowmancer. He wouldn't stand a chance against Mosh let alone Eddie Guerrero.

There are only two in the last 8 that stand a chance of getting through to the Next round.Little Guido and Ole Anderson, while in reality he would have no shot against Chris Benoit I feel that the Benoit Tragedy will work against Benoit as a Wrestler in the tournament. Ole Anderson a legend in the Wrestling Industry, could beat Bret if Old School fans come out to vote.

I think with Ole, enough old school guys have come out and acknowledged Bret as one of the best ever, so I really see no threat to Hart. Ole is more well known as a tag wrestler, which is also going to work against him in a singles match.

And on the guerrero note, I think he's a tad bit over rated myself. Dying young will do that for you. I really never thought he was that great, he was good, but never great. Sasake has always impressed the hell out of me.

I still see Guido as a Threat to Benoit early in the Tournament. Ole still is a legend thats why I see him as a threat, if people are thinking. But I still see Bret Winning. Eddie may be slightly overrated but he made his opponents look good in the ring while looking good at the same time. But the last 8 are almost walkthroughs for the top 8 but I still expect some to get closer to them than most would expect if they are voting with their head.

Of course with me being an horsemen fan I love Ole! However I have to agree he was a great tag team wrestler but only average in singles. Bret Hart wins easily. I also think Eddie is overrated but he shold win this one. I agree his opponent has skills but that's how it goes. Here is the upset of the touranment SHARK BOY(STONE COLD) DEFEATS UNDERTAKER. Undertaker is to busy laughing and he gets the roll up for the win. He takes the bite out of the deadman. I thought everone could enjoy a good laugh today. Undertaker doesn't even take his coat or hat off and wins.

the way i would the tournament is by puttin a title on the line. and whoever wins the tourny wins the tourny & becomes the UNDISPUTED CHAMPION !

The way i see it i don't think that Randy Orton doesn't deserve to be in this tournament. He's the biggest self-centered egotistical SOB in the WWE. AUSTIN 3:16 would whip RKO anyday of the week.
