World Cup LD

I'm bored of people thinking that they know something because they can identify that Eden Hazard is quite good at football, so I want Belgium to go out.

Id like to see the distance covered stats, because Belgium look like the laziest team in the world cup. You cant play for only 10 minutes of 90 & keep getting away with it.

In terms of the U.S., the easiest way to advance to the knockout stage is to beat Portugal.

I'm assuming the next easiest way is for U.S. to get a tie tonight, hope that Portugal beats Ghana, and not to get blown out against Germany.

Do you guys think that we can beat Portugal or settle for a tie if the situation arises?

I can see USA getting a point off Portugal tonight as long as they tighten up their defensive play. Ghana's comical inability to cross and/or effectively use the ball in the first game let USA off although they were fairly decent in defence.

Ronaldo is the key - if his knees can't hold up then Portugal will probably fold.

To be diplomatic, they have played both their games at the hottest time of day which would be an influence. Having said that, Ghana and Germany ran themselves into the ground in the second half yesterday despite playing in horrible sounding conditions.

I would guess that Chile or Costa Rica would have covered the most ground, possibly Brazil too as their games have involved a good mix of attacking (or rather, moving towards the final third) and defending.

I think the US will be quite comfortable against Portugal, put someone on Ronaldo and he'll vanish - Messi is starting to turn the doubters about his big game credentials; Ronaldo? Not so much.

3-0 & this is starting to get interesting. Algeria Vs Russia could be a great game if the goal difference keeps racking up.

Actually no, GD irrelevant.
