Everyonce in a while I enjoy listening to these guys since they have a wide variety of things.

Recently picked up Megadeth's Anthology 2 disc best of CD.

It hasn't really impressed me that much so far, there have been a few good tracks that I have discovered (Angry Again being my favourite newly found track), but IMO nothing on the album comes close to "Trust", which is a song I already knew and loved.

Dave Mustaine's vocals are hideous on most songs, the guy really cannot sing although he sounds pretty good on "Trust" and "Symphony Of Destruction". Not much power in his voice, but the music on this song makes up for it,and there is a really good chorus with the guitaring more my taste than most of the other tracks on the album.

"Trust" was also used as Jerry Lynn's ECW entrance theme for a while, or the instrumental version was, and appeared on the ECW Hardcore Music CD.

That is because he sings through his teeth for 99% of his songs. I was never a fan of Megadeth as his voice makes me cringe. Their older stuff is amazing compared to this new stuff they keep releasing. Along with Slayer this band is getting worse and worse. IMO the last decent album was the one with Gears of War on it. I can't think of the name though.

As for the song I am listening to is by Dope-Easier. Not a heavy jam but the words are true and I connect with them.

Was watchin 8 Mile and I felt the need to post one of the best part/best songs in the whole movie. If you like what you hear and haven't seen the movie then definitely check it out because you won't regret it.

And ofcourse after watching 8 Mile, as usual I go into Em mode and I pulled out one of my fav of his songs, enjoy folks ;)

Aaaaand this gem, with Em, Obie Trice and my boy DMX is another favorite of mine that i've got stuck in my head. Plus Eminem with DMX is throwing two of my rap idols together and comin out with a win. Kickass song that pumps me up like crazy, I love DMX's sound and Eminem's brilliant lyrics.

I'm headin out for my yearly deer/bear hunt tomorrow so i'm getting ready by listening to a real hunter's song, Fred Bear by Ted Nugent. This song is basically the hunter's anthem, it's a beautiful song that Ted wrote for his dear friend and fellow outdoorsman right after he got the news of Fred's passing. Exellent song that has a really spirit and passion that's hard to come by these days, and ofcourse Ted's guitar is always perfection, I love the lick he plays that starts at 3:12 in the song. Give it a listen and if it's your kind of music then I know you'll like it :)

The Modfather!

I love Paul Weller. He really does have one of te best voices in music, and can produce music ranging from slow emotional songs such as this, to the faster rockier style and even more pscychodelic on occasion.

"Brand New Start" is a beautiful piece of music and just makes me feel like whatever happens, there is always the chance to start over and put it right. Just hearing it makes any day that little bit better and while usually preferring Weller's faster tracks, this would always be in my top five of his. The little guitar solo halfway through is brilliant too. So simple, but so effective and meaningful.

I've been listening to ''Watch the Throne'' recently and man, I love the song O.T.I.S. (Only the Illuminati Survive, lulz). The beat is fresh and it just goes to show that Jay-Z never lost it and Kanye still has it. The lyrics aren't the best but, I still find myself trying to learn them just to try and be black.

Yes, I'm listening to Nickelback again. They just released two new songs, this one and a song called Bottoms Up. Out of the two, I prefer this one. Not a bad song at all, pretty catchy and actually has some heart behind it.

Not a huge A7X fan. The music is always incredible but the vocalist is kind of hit and miss for me. This one he definitely hit though. I love a singer that can convey a melody rather than just scream or ... whatever it is that those death metal idiots do. Growl?

This is one that I really like a lot, but then there are some that I just get bored with fairly quickly and just change the station. If he can do more stuff like this, I;d be into it.

Victoria - The Kinks

I've always been a Kinks fan (I'd like to thank my parents and their impeccable taste in music for that). I was reminded of this songs awesomeness the other day when watching How I Met Your Mother. Basically, if you don't know (but you really should), the main character Ted recently ran into an old flame by the name of Victoria. Victoria is one of my favourite characters from the series and I pretty much marked out when I saw her return. Needless to say, this song played when she showed up. Like most Kinks songs, it's as catchy as hell, very British 60s and is led by a nice vocal harmony.

The National - About Today.

It's the song used at the end of Warrior and is a really good fit for the final scene in that it's a song tinged with sadness and regret, with some of the lyrics applicable to the overall story of Warrior. Great choice of song for a good film.

I am still loving the new Kasabian album "Velociraptor!" and this is my 2nd favourite from it. A real rocky song, it's what Kasabian is all about for me and this will sound awesome when played live. You know it will get the crowd bouncing. I was playing it in the gym today and it gave me the motivation to pump out another couple of reps :)

Great tune. I regret not buying tickets to see them live later this year, I really should have. However, I refuse to pay EBay prices for them, the touts can fuck off

This song is pure fucking greatness, at it's most simple and beautiful form, god I love P.O.D so damn much. I was watching Little Nicky the other day and it reminded me that it's been way too long since I listened to some good old P.O.D. and needless to say i'll be on a binge for a while

I've been listening to the album this is from, In the Mountain In the Cloud, over and over for a few weeks now. It's probably the best album I've heard this year, and this is the song that keeps getting stuck in my head. If you like this, listen to the whole thing, because it's great.

One of my favourite Soundgarden tracks, but this is one that I didn't initially take to when I first heard it, but over time I have grown to love it. The intro is absolutely brilliant, a fantastic piece of music.

I think this is one of the songs that shows what Soundgarden are all about

Nobody's Perfect - Jessie J
I absolutely LOVE this song. The music and most of all her voice! And how she drives her voice in that way, totally connecting with what she's saying in the song. I love the fact that in this song, the girl's accepting her fault and apologizing to the guy instead of going all "Nyeh nyeh you dumped me so I hate you and I'll live life!"

New Jane's Addiction song (I love me some Perry Farrell and Dave Navarro)

Its mellow, yet has a hard edge to it (especially the solo) and the video makes it trippy as well.

LoveFuryEnergyPassion by Boy Hits Car. I love Lita's theme song. It would always get me pumped and ready to start my day.

I usually wind down my days now with The Birthday Massacre.

Love The Game and this shit is just ridiculous. Not many rappers can keep my attention for five minutes let alone twenty and Game has done it multiple times with his 300 Bars and Runnin, 120 Bars, and now this. He's a hate or love kind of rapper, but I happen to love him and can't stop listening.

Right now, I'm really digging Biffy Clyro! They're such an un-known band, at the moment. Hell, I used to live about 5 minutes away from them and had never heard of them even though I did go to quite a lot of gigs! Anyway, this song is great:

It's called Bubbles and it's probably one of their more popular songs. The song is really great the normal verses really focus in on the main singer's happy (and scottish) voice. It's all merry and jolly until we go into the chorus where his voice changes and turns more serious. Such a beautiful piece and the lyrics are quite spiffy too! They make me proud to be Scottish. And, trust me, that's a hard thing to do!

The best song from a phenomenal show, which was done for charity and was released through a UK newspaper. Weird thing is, "Sad Song" when performed by Oasis isn't one of their better songs- it didn't even make it onto an album, but Noel singing it as part of his solo set is incredible and in my opinion is the best song on the CD.

His voice gets better with age, an absolutely brilliant performance. I am glad I was front row for another of his solo charity gigs (not this one at the Albert Hall), and got to hear this played live. Just fantastic, what a legend

Kid Rock's Jackson, Mississippi
This song's music was actually used on two occasion's by Kid, first in this song and then he re used it in his song "Warrior" to support the National Guard. This one definitely takes the cake though, original lyrics and love his softer parts in the song, classic Kid Rock.

Warrant-Cherry Pie

Having recently found out about the death of Jani Lane (the singer and writer of the song) I started to listen to it, I feel its really good, it's possibly one of the most glam songs (talking about 'pie' if you get my drift) but its catchy as hell.
