Tom Petty Mary Jane's Last Dance

I love this song. I've never been much of a pot guy, but maybe would be just for this song. This tune is transcends time and generations. Is it weird that it gets me a little jacked up too?

After I got into Alice In Chains, I started to check out Jerry's solo material. This was the first song of his that I came across. While he doesnt have the strongest voice, its still awesome, and that riff at the start of the song is a monster.

Love this track, infact I am going to play it again yeahhhhhh!

I like this song for many reasons. One is because of the epic guitar parts in this song. I love Mark Tremonti he is one of the greatest guitarists of all time. I also love the emotion in this song sung by the great Myles Fuckin Kennedy. This song is amazing because put together it is a really good hard rock song. It's too bad that Alter Bridge is such an underrated band. Thanks a lot mainstream radio! :banghead:

Fall Out Boy, Hum Hallelujah\

One of my favorite tunes by this band. I was really high on these guys for a long time, and then they just faded away. I hope we get something new from them soon.

The Duck Dodgers Theme - Tom Jones

I love me some Looney Tunes, and one of my personal favourite shorts has to be Duck Dodgers in the 24th and one half century. It's got great gags, a wonderful setting and has Daffy, Porky and Marvin the Martian all playing believable roles. Anyway, the short eventually spawned it's own series in the early 21st century and I enjoyed it quite a bit, especially for it's weird and wonderful plots, guest stars and of course, this magnificent theme sung by the one and only Tom Jones.

I've been listening to some rap lately. Mainly old Eminem stuff to give me a laugh, but when I want more serious rap I turn to The Game. The guy is an animal on the mic. I love his style and lyrics, and he is my favorite rapper right now. Besides his old stuff and disses on G-Unit, I listen to his new single Red Nation. Great song that has been playing on my ipod constantly.

I'll throw in my new favorite Avenged Sevenfold song as well. I change my favorite song by these guys every week, and this week it is their new song "I'm Not Ready To Die. Released for the new COD zombies map pack, it's their first song since Jimmy died. Really great song that I am really into.

One of my all time favourite 2Pac songs, I absolutely love this. I know its off the "Pac's Life" album which was not really that good, there are only 5 or 6 good tracks on it, but this song is awesome.

I love Young Bucks verse on this, he absolutely kills it, and Chamillionaire and Pac himself also have great verses too. Its a pretty unknown song which is a shame as it really is a brilliant track.

Welcome to My Hood Remix
By DJ Khaled feat. Ludacris, T-Pain, Busta Rhymes, Mavado, Twista, Birdman, Ace Hood, Fat Joe, Jadakiss, Bun B, Game & Waka Flocka Flame

I'm usually not a fan of this style of hip hop but DJ Khaled is ridiculous. Seriously, how can you expect to put 97 rappers on one track and not expect a bad song? Well, somehow he does it. Even though I only like 6 of the rappers in this song, it's still a good listen. What makes this song so great is the fact that both T-Pain and DJ Khaled share verses in the song; they actually rap and it sounds pretty good. Twista-one of the fastest rappers ever, spits a verse after Busta Rhymes who also spits a very fast verse. Waka Flocka Flame and this Mavado dude ass raped this song. Their verses were god awful. Busta and Twista definitely stole the spotlight in this song with Busta tooth and neck above Twista's verse. Game doesn't appear in the video so download this shit and listen.

I only discovered this track today, after borrowing my Dad's "Keep The Faith" album as I wanted to load the title track onto my ipod. This song is easily the heaviest Bon Jovi track I have ever heard, and although the title and a few of the lyrics are a bit strange I have played it several times already today. It really surprised me as it isn't really like many of the other Jovi songs I know and love. Great song though, check it out

Skepta - Frisco (feat. Frisco)
Community Payback came out last month and it is just too much. Skepta is one of my favourite artists at the moment, but so many people have been accusing him of not really sticking with grime, I'd say this free mixtape shows them that they're wrong. Frisco is probably the best track on there and both of them are fire. DJ Whoo Kid producing for UK artists is just incredible.

A very underappreciated band. My friend showed me their music when I was in high school and I thought they sucked and laughed at the singer's high pitched voice. But, as he was always playing their CD in the common room, I got into it and now all 3 of their albums, with this being one of my favourite tracks. Very catchy, with a cool riff.

Their singer Robert Harvey actually added ME as a friend of his on MySpace, with his own personal page, not that of his bandm which I thought was pretty funny. Nice fella actually is Rob

While Your Lips Are Still Red by Nightwish...

<iframe width="450" height="280" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/smiFk6KHr_8?hd=1" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

A simple acoustic song by a band that's normally metal. Very soft, soothing and beautiful and one of my personal favorites.

It's a great song to relax to after a long busy week at work, especially since the idea of having a beer (or alcoholic drink) is kind of against my SxE ideals and morals.

Placebo: Running up the Hill( A deal with God)

I believe that this was the promotional song they used for HBK's last match, and it was originally a song from Kate Bush that's been covered 100 times. This to me is the best of the lot. What I love about the song is the believability of the sound of the song, as the sound matches the lyrics. Just like Gary Jules cover of Mad World by Tears for Fears, the remake is haunting, which is appropriate. Both the Kate Bush version(and the TFF Mad World) were upbeat, poppy songs that simply didn't match the emotion of the lyrics. This song, with Kate actually singing in the background, is far more appropriate for me.

The idea behind making a deal with God is an intriguing one. How many movies, TV shows, or off-handed comments have we heard about people making a "deal with the devil", or "selling their souls?" I suppose the premise is the same, but the idea is making a deal with God instead. And Im sure for those who believe in God in some way, it's a place we've all been, rather then in a position where we want to make a "deal with the devil." I know there have been times where Ive offered to make God deals in exchange for this or that. I can't say the opposite. So I appreciate the realism of the song, at least to me.

I have listened to this several times since I heard the tragic news about Macho Man. It is still one of the classic WWF themes from back in the day, and has put a smile on my face after the terrible news about one of the all time greats.

I absolutely love how he has "Oh Yeah" on the lapel of his jacket, that made me laugh. So cheesy, but completely fun

One of my FB friends just posted this and I didn't know it when I saw the name. Once the first chorus kicked in I remembered it, downloaded and listened to it like 10 times.

Angel - Shaggy Ft. Rayvon.

Shaggy has always been very versatile. He can rap and sing and has a different voice which is very marketable. For him to convert some country song into a reggae or hip hop or whatever the fuck you'd classify this as song proves his versatility.

I love it. And can someone answer this: I Rayvon (The guy that sings the chorus) the guy in Friday who catches Smokey taking a shit in Craig's backyard? He really looks like him :lmao:

Dashboard Confessional, TheBest Deceptions

Yes, a little whiny and a lot emo, but I love thbis dude's voice and their style.

I Need A Dollar
By Aloe Blacc

This song was featured on a Boost Mobile commercial and as soon as I heard it, I needed to hear the whole thing. Pretty soon, I was downloading the song on my iPod and writing a short summary in the What song are you currently listening to? thread on WZ. An all around great song that reminds me so much of a Stevie Wonder song. Its got a tight funk/soul band and smooth vocal type feel to it capturing a Motown-esque sound. It's got a catchy hook, punchy piano and a message that everyone can get behind. Funky Soul music revival? Possibly. And guess who's leading the way?

Everybody's Free - Aquagen featuring Rozalla

I first heard this song on The Venture Bros. It's an upbeat dance song and it's pretty damn good. I enjoy it a lot because it makes me feel somewhat uplifted. I'll always associate it with The Venture Bros. though and for good reason as they use it very well to start off Season 2, showing just how the main character are dealing with grief. I really like this one.

Puff Daddy, Mase & The Notorious B.I.G. - Been Around The World

This song just puts me in a great mood. Awesome lyrics and these three had some great chemistry together.

Diddy should go back to stuff like this...his song "I'm Coming Home" is fucking awful!

Just found the latest Bon Jovi album in my local Sainsbury's in Manchester for the pricely sum of £1, so I thought why the hell not!

Just uploading it to my Ipod as I speak, and just started to play the first track, which was the lead single for the album. I already know this one, its pretty decent. Nothing amazing, but a solid Bon Jovi song.

"My Future's So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades," by Timbuk3

This song is the 1980's. Anyway, Sirius Satellite Radio changed all of there stations, so I have no idea what channel is what anymore. I really need to print up a channel guide for my dashboard. This song came on this morning during the drive to work, on an unknown channel, I I have been jamming it for 2 hours. I remember hearing it in a few movies too, I just can't think of the titles.
