What song are you currently listening to?

One of my favourite songs to hear while I am in the gym. It came on while I was in there today and immediately got me pumped up and helped me to crank out those last 2 or 3 reps. Most Disturbed songs are pretty good for the gym, and this is in my top 5 of all their tracks, probably my 2nd or 3rd favourite.

An underrated band by the name of Beautiful Creatures

This band was started by current Guns N Roses/Sixx A.M. guitarist DJ Ashba and Joe Leste from Bango Tango ( I need to check them out) but its pure undiluted hard rock with a good singer and great guitar that you can't help rocking out to.

I do love my West Coast Gangsta Rap and this track is a welcome throwback to the day when rap was good. The Game is by far my favourite rapper out there right now, and this is off his second album "Doctors Advocate". Pure West Coast, bringing back the style made famous by Dre and Snoop in the mid 90s, this is an awesome song to drive to. I made a compilation CD for the car today and this was on there. Its great to hear Snoop being gangsta again, rather than the pop and r'n'b bullshit he has been a part of recently.

Now Let The Madness Begin- Fozzy

Bought his documentary dvd, I've heard of Fozzy previously but never listened to their songs, then heard their song on the extras on his dvd and loved it, been listening to it for a while, really good song.

Third Eye Blind, 10 Days Late

Whoa...had a little scare this week w/ the wife. Don't get me wrong, I like kids, but this would have been awful timing. False alarm :)

Right now I am currently listening to...Seether-Country Song.

I recently went out and bought their new album and it turns out to be pretty good, nothing like the old Seether but a pretty good Rock album. When I first heard the name of this song I immediately thought of the worst."Oh no, Seether going Country!?!" But after listening to it, I found it to be quite a catchy tune, something nice to hum along with and I haven't been able to get it out of my head for awhile now. Plus the video is hilarious to boot.

I'm listening the fuck out of Japan's "Adolescent Sex" and "Obscure Alternatives" albums. I've been a fan of David Sylvian's work for about three years now and it's always fun listening to his younger pre-baritone days. I don't care if they've gotten flack for being Glam Rock. I love what I heard.

The longest In Flames song ever made to date , I always find it weird how nobody and I mean NOBODY can seem to do this kind of thing as well as Metallica , oh well still a pretty good song

..I am currently listening to my playlist.... randomly :)

One of the most underrated songs Oasis songs out there, from the Heathen Chemistry album, writted by guitarist Gem Archer.

Its catchy, with great guitaring and Liam on top form with the vocals. This was never released as a single and although there were already 4 top quality singles released from that album, I think this should have been a 5th, or have replaced "Songbird" as one of the 4

Mothership- Enter Shikari

absolutely one of my favorite bands out rite now. first heard them from a friend and then in a madden game i think, saw them live back in 09, unique band, only band with this specific sound, great stuff

I usually listen to my ITunes on shuffle, but after 2 Smashing Pumpkins songs came one one after the other "Eye" and "Today", I thought I would listen to their greatest hits album in full. "Tonight, Tonight" is the song I am currently listenting to right now. One of their most famous songs, and one of the softer songs they have released, it is a classic but not one of my absolute favourites.

Still a bloody good song though, and it shows the the Pumpkins can release alot of varied styles of music, ranging from the slower songs like this one to the heavier grungy sounds of "Bullet With Butterfly Wings"

This masterpiece (Ok well the music video versions intro is cut out and the outro is cut short so it may seem less masterpiece-ish but its still awesome)

"Aesthetics of hate" by Machine Head

Lyrically the song is especially awesome if you're pissed off about anything

If you like metal and don't know these guys , I highly suggest you push the play button and check out other songs by them on youtube. Their most recent album "The Blackening" is metal at its finest

I have recently made a new rap CD for my car, featuring 2Pac, Eminem, Game, Ice Cube and others. This is what is currently playing on my stereo as I got out of the car.

I love Eminems latest album, its brilliant. After listening to Recovery and then borrowing Relapse from a friend, I was shocked to hear how shit Relapse was, it FUCKING SUCKS. I am glad Em is back on top form on his latest release, and look forward to hearing what he comes out with next.

Relapse was SHIT

Look At Me Now
By Chris Brown feat. Busta Rhymes & Lil' Wayne

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! This song's the shit. I never really cared for Lil Wayne but dammit, I'm a sucker for quick rapping. Busta, Chris Brown, and Wayne all have awesome verses in this song with Busta Rhymes quite possibly stealing the show with the best lyrics in the whole song. I don't exactly know what's up with Chris Brown lately but his music has been a pleasure to hear - he actually has a damn good rapping voice (although it sounds a bit like jermaine dupri). This songs beat and melody are both phenomenally catchy. In fact, this song has been stuck in my head for quite sometime now. Cool song yo.

Malchilk Gay- T.A.T.U
heard this in a video liked it ever since not my usual kind of song but kinda Catchy, and its become my 4th fav song that has to do with love

The title track from the album, and a pretty good radio-friendly rock song. Nothing special, but the sort of song that bands like Saliva do so well. I quite like the band, I got into them in my nu-metal days during the early 2000s.

First thing: I'm a proud Eminem mark. The guy is a lyrical genius and finally getting the chance to see him live this coming August will be the realisation of something I've wanted to happen for 12 years. Second thing: I've literally only found this song about 45 minutes ago. Leaks FTW.

Now to the song... my immediate judgement is that it's gonna be absolutely massive. The chorus is wonderful, meaningful and something people could well stop and listen to in a club. Eminem's verse is his usual genius and Royce Da 5'9's verse is brilliant as well. Hell: The Sequel has become my most anticipated album of the year, because the two main songs that have been released/leaked are absolutely amazing.

Dancing on the Ceiling - Lionel Richie

Truth be told, it was only ten minutes ago that I listened to this all the way through for the first time. I've heard the song all the time, just never all the way through. I have no idea what compelled me to listen to it, I just felt the need to listen to it after a day at work. It's quite good and has a nice upbeat tune. I could find myself humming this quite a bit. Surprised I liked it so much actually.
