this really pissed me off about The Rock

Dark Match Jobber
saw an article in the washington post, and the rock said he is ABSOLUTELY done with wrestleing, i cant believe this guy, the WWE made wat he is today!!!:twak:

ok he was a big part of wwe and carried it a little bit through some parts but he did not make wwe what it is today he was a great character but not great wrestling skills and is a sell out

I don't think he's a sell out, he furthered is career, that's all. If he doesn't want to do it anymore, then actually continuing to wrestle would be selling out. It's his life, and he's happy.

He can appreciate the fans and WWE yet not return. I don't see anything that indicates that he's turned his back on them like people have ignorantly claimed over the years. He’s not obligated to return to WWE for us. His obligation was to entertain us when he was part of WWE and he did just that, and very well. Therefore I don’t see him as being selfish, a sellout, or any of the other things people have said over the years.

You are a sell out as a fan for apparently turning on him simply because you no longer have the benefit of watching him perform. You are selfish because you believe that he should be in WWE entertaining you regardless of what makes him happy. That doesn't mean that he doesn't love WWE, rather it means that he's doing what he feels like doing. He's got that right. When people are famous they tend to receive opportunities that they otherwise may not have. In his case it's acting so good for him. Like I said he's not obligated to return to WWE. He never was.

yeah, how long has it been since he has competed regularly anyway? since 2002 or 03? its time to move on. i would much rather live life on my own terms than be part of mcmahon's traveling circus 3/4 of the year

More power to Rock. When you can make more money doing something else you enjoy I'm all for it. People tend to forget that being on the road 300 days a year busting your ass isn't as easy as it looks.

ok u r sayin im selfish cuz he turned away from wrestling im not the slightest bit selfish so i dont know where the hell ur getting that from and i am not forgettin that its hard cuz i would nvr be able to do it so i dont know why u brought that up if he had no desire to return then why did he wait all this time before sayin he was done with the wwe he got my hopes up because my dream match was supposed to happen this past mania cuz rock was supposed to face hbk but he didnt

I never said you were selfish...I said Rock can live the life he wants to...if that includes not wrestling anymore, thats his business. Rock doesn't owe anybody anything. He did his job and moved on.

First of all please try to refrain from run on sentences as it makes things come across as incoherent babbling. (no offense)

Second of all, Please explain how he turned his back on WWE. If spending years somewhere then choosing to move on with his life his turning his back on something, then I really hope that you stick with one job for the duration of your life and don't make any decisions to better youself or your family. After all, if you do, then you'd be a hypocrite.

Third of all I used to word "apparently" to indicate what it appeared to be your frame of mind, based on the words you used, and those of the shitload of posters who over the years praised the Rock then turned on him for not being in WWE.

Does it matter why? He can say what he wants and do what he wants. Again, he's not obligated to do shit. He's not obligated to have a certai time frame as to when he says he's done. Who are we to dictate that? See this is where I'm getting the selfish part from. You're upset because you want him to entertain you in WWE and he isn't and therefore you made the claim that he's a sell out.

No YOU got your hopes up. The match was absolutely never confirmed as something that was definately going to happen. The idea was reportedly presented and turned down. There's a major difference between something being a possiblity and "supposed to happen." If you choose to believe the things that you read on message boards, which I'll add are often fabricated or exaggerated, that's your doing, not The Rocks. Here you are blaming the guy for not having a match, when it's YOU that made the personal choice to believe that somethng that was a mere possibility was an absolute fact. Then you call him a sellout cause you didn't get your wish for it to happen. Calling him a sellout and things of that nature is you turning your back on him, not him turning his back on WWE.

first of all im doing run on sentences because its the internet and i didnt know people were going to judge that im actually freakin smart so screw you im babbling and i never wanted him to entertain me i never liked the guy ill admit he got huge pops and great mic skills but i dont care and why r u choosin me out of anyone else to be selfish and a blabber mouth and that has absolutely no point in why i think he is a sell out because i didnt get the match no noe gets what they want when they want it i think he is a sell out because he spent 10 years of his life getting to where he got which not many superstars do what he did and threw it all away for his crappy movies

Blah... If this is true... Ima miss Rocky... But I dont understand how he "sold-out"... All he did was further his carear.... Id pick staring in movies over wrestling also.. He did almost everything you could possibly do in wrestling... He just got bored of it... And if he doesnt want to wrestle... Why should he?

If you're so smart (and I'm not saying that you're not) then why do you feel the need to justify it? . BTW I never said that you weren't smart, but when peope are trying to have discussions it's courteous to at least present them with something a bit more legible.

I don't know, maybe cause you're the one that made a post that stuck out and I felt like responding since that's what forums are for? These are "Discussion Forums" not "you must agree with everythingt that I say forums." If I or anyone sees something that we disagree with, we have the right to point out our disagreements. If you can't handle that then that's your problem.

That doesn't make him a sell out by definition rather it makes him someone that's choosing to pursue other things. As stated there's a differenceYou equate moving on as being a sellout. Like I said keep the same job forever, no matter how long you're at it, or else you're a sellout. Keep the same girlfriend forever or you're a sellout to her, etc. You throw the term around then act like a baby when it's challenged.

i agree i never said he had to keep wrestling but to wait three years of finally letting go and keeping everyones hopes up is sad it sucks i think he is a sell out because after all he did he trew it away for movies i would never choose acting for this because you could be anyone who looks good and they will let you in cough paris hilton cough and i know he was just furthuring his career

Was Michael Jordan a sellout for quitting basketball to play baseball?

What more could Rock accomplish if he came back? If he did come back, it would be people like you to jump right up and say "he's not the same, he shoulda stuck to movies"

The Rock is an amazing wrestler and entertainer it sucks he is off doing his movie career thing but he is doing great at that to i'd love to see him give up acting and return to WWE for a few years untill he is retired then go back to acting but it won't happen

Ok First Of All If It Wasnt So Legible Then How Did U Reply To The Post.i Dont Care I Made A Post And You Replied Thats Fine By Me Everyone Has Their Opinions But In Your Case I Dont Let People Have Their Opinions Well I Do Cuz I Let You Reply And If I Didnt Let People Have Their Opinions Why Would We Be Having This Arguement And I Am Not Saying I Want Everyone To Agree With Me Because I Am Not Like That And I Know People Have Their Disagreements And They Are Allowed To Them I Never Said They Werent But You Make It Seem Like I Dont Let People Do That Which Is Totally Wrong Cause I Dont And I Dont Have A Problem So Dont Say That I Do And I Dont Think That In Your Examples That Is Not The Way I Think That Is Just My Opinion Which I Am Also Allowed To Have And I Dont Act Like A Freakin Baby So I Dont Know Where The Hell You Are Gettin That From So Dont Even Talk About Me Being A Baby About It If Im Challenged I Dont Care

Why don't you read the bottom of Dysturbed's sig?

I Have Read It Before I Look At Everyones Sig It Is Kind Of A Natural Thing To Do

Then you would realize that the "I have the right to my opinion" arguement you placed forth is bullshit. Is Michael Jordan a sellout or not? What about Jericho? Are these guys all sellouts? Do they owe something to you? Do they hafta apologize for living their lives the way they want to even though it disappoints you?

I'd really like to see The Rock back in the ring, but if he doesn't want to then i'm not mad at him, all his movies are making good money for him.

Read what I wrote. I used the words "people" and "them" which clearly signifies that I'm referring to the general posting population and not specificallyh myself.

Using the words "screw you" isn't exactly non childish behavior. See the quote in my sig from Advo. You're a perfect canditate to apply that. I never denied you the right to an opinion, rather I disagreed with your harsh terminolgy that has no true basis and provided examples as to how. If you feel that you're right then how about justify it instead acting like a victim.

If Im Challenged I Dont Care

Obviously you do.

I Also Think The Same Thing About Jericho And Jordan But They Dont Owe Me Anything And I Never Said They Have To And Just Like His Sig I Have My Right To My Opinion So You Can Stop Bashing On Me For It They Dont Even Have To Apologize Every One Can Live The Life They Want I Never Said They Cant This Is The Key Part

Its My Opinion! Get Over It
