The Wrestlemania Live Discussion - Come Join the Party!

Coming back down the road is ok. Coming back and being a raving lunatic that is disturbing to look at isn't.

I don't see HBK coming back at all. Judging from the interviews he has been giving lately, and even what he says at the end of his "My Journey" DVD I think Shawn wants to go out on top, and not ruin the sure to be fantastic send-off that the WWE should give him. I truly believe we have seen HBK's last match, and if we did, 1: What a way to go, and 2: Thank you HBK for the memories.

You know, I may be the only one, but I hope HBK DOES come back at some point. He lost his Career, but that doesn't mean he can never wrestle again. He can come in in a year or so (for mania) and have a 1 off match, without damaging his legacy, or affecting this ending.

you should be referring to he New York Jets (the Winnepeg Jets moved to Phoenix, making the NY Jets the only Jets in pro American sports). If that's the case, then shut-up-a-your-face. Not all Jets fans bitch all the time. A lot of them do, but not all. In fact, you can probably say that about 90% of sports teams, especially big market teams.

Well Santino you should snap into a Slim Jim, hopefully your Jets will turn into th Patriots.

Swagger winning was quite a surprise, but a pleasant one. The WWE takes the MITB contract very seriously, and I don't think they'd give it to Swagger without planning on doing something with him.

At least it wasn't Matt Hardy.

Well let's see. We'll start with Batista and Cena. The two biggest stars in the world today battling for the top prize in the world in front of over 70,000 people. "But they both suck and only know 5 moves!" Well when TNA trots out Hogan and Flair who have used the same 5 move for about 15 years now, it's called brilliant. Oh but the fans cheer them. yes, 900 people that didn't pay cheer them. Good for them.

TNA is so far behind WWE they can't even see them.

Really...name one match tonight besides HBK/Taker that was better than or equal to anything on TNA's last PPV.
Let me explain something to you.

Even if you were onto something, you still wouldn't be onto anything.

One PPV from TNA does not speak to the quality of their overall product. It's a snapshot in time. As was this Mania. Comparing two snapshots in time doesn't give us a true indication about the quality of product being put on by each company week in and week out.

So even if you were onto something here, which you aren't, your logic still doesn't hold up worth shit.

Yes I agree TNA is a long way behind the WWE in lots of ways...but they are far and away ahead of the WWE where it counts...in the ring.
The Cena/BGD match tonight was a yawn fest...no energy, no emotion, no passion...and if that is the best that the WWE can do...then I stand by my comment...TNA have NOTHING to fear from WWE!!

Nothing.

It does, however, say plenty about current management's unwillingness to make the future look significant as every year the old timers are given thirty minutes to ply their craft while hot up and comers are given five or ten if they're lucky.

The best example of this was the tag title match. What a waste, and you've got 2 guys who will definitely be part of the future of the company, a 3rd (Truth) who could be, and the Big Show, supposedly a pretty big star. The match only lasted about 5 minutes. But that happens when you put random stars together to form tag teams.

And, I was pleasantly surprised by Sheamus' performance. I'm not a big fan of his, but this was definitely his best match. He might be growing on me.

Jesus Christ.

I was waiting to see when the first god forsaken TNA mark was going to come on here, and flap on about how TNA's Pay Per Views are better than this.

How about Jericho and Edge's fantastic match, with a back and forth go about, and a good education on a little thing you don't get.... "Psychology".

Or, Batista and Cena, again, same type of psychology involved, and told a fantastic story.

Or, maybe MiTB, which was just pure fun.

Look, TNA marks, it's ok to be a fan, there's really nothing wrong with that. TNA has good programming most the time, and will have their time. But it's shit like this that I can't take most of you seriously. Even X, who loves TNA, knows a good fucking pay per view when he sees one. Why? He has a good mind for the business. Not just TNA, WWE, or any other promotion, but just for the entire wrestling business.

In short.... Calmly shut the fuck up

What is wrong with you guys? This Mania not great?

I guess everyone just has to have something to bitch about.

Except ratings, live event attendance, income from TV, income from PPVs, age of talent, crazy booking, international exposure, and did I mention MONEY?

<3

Was wondering where you had gotten to.

Were you watching? I don't think you were. Everything from Cena was pure emotion. Did you see that 4 move transition they did that started with the 5 Knuckle Shuffle? Energy. Did you see Cena after the match? Passion.

Did it seem to you all that Taker got legitimately hurt coming off the top rope on that ankle?

Agreed. This match surprised me. It stood out more than I thought it would. Triple H did a really good job of making Sheamus look good, much better than any squash he's won thus far.

Sure, Triple H didn't do the job, but this match wasn't about making Sheamus look better than Trips. It was about making him look like the star of the future, and it did that.

I'm pretty sure they did that on purpose just to have a reason to take 'Taker off of TV for a few months after 'Mania, say he has a broken leg or something.
